very sad to see this beautiful spot has now been blocked off due to 'antisocial behaviour' and 'water pollution' :( absolutely loved this spot and sad to see that people have ruined it.

EliBruce23/01/2024All 4 bays now completely blocked off with row of large boulder stones, new sign up reads 'parking reduced due to antisocial behaviour and water pollution'. We've used this spot responsibly for 5 years The narrow strip available for parking isn't suitable for overnight as although the road is one way (and very narrow) once it goes dark vehicles, including the ranger) do travel in both directions.

Limited to no phone signal. Nice place but approached by rangers. Apparently the whole of this area is no overnight parking. I missed the main sign in to the valley. I was politely asked to move on, along with other vans in the area. So did so. I believe this is possible due to the amount of vans parked up.
joeythekanga29/05/2022Great place to stay, lovely views and even a waterfall. They do seem to be constructing another road their or something at the moment, not sure what but hopefully it doesn't result in this area being lost.

This is a 5 star location, perfect in every way but unfortunately, about 2:30am 6 very loud boy racers decided to do laps of the area until around 5:30am!! It was like being in the middle of the RAC rally! Would I come back - Yes because it is stunning but I would defo bring ear defenders and avoid Saturday nights!!
bigfredstravels19/01/2022One of the nicest spots I’ve stayed, really quiet and level. Says there’s 3 spaces but that’s 3 individual little bits, could easily fit a few vans in one. No parking restrictions and plenty of nice walks around and about. Can absolutely recommend if you’re in the area!!

This road is one way and cannot be approached from the Derbyshire bridge by car/van as No entry signs at the top and no passing places, though you can walk down it. satnav/ GPS does suggest you can drive down it but its definately one way/ no entry from top. Approach it from the reservoir end and Buxton

Amazing spot for day and night, safe and very quite as away from anywhere. The road closes on Sundays (after 11am) and bank holidays.
