À partir d'octobre! Lieu d'hiver.

October onwards! Winter location. Beach huts are removed from this gorgeous spot early October which gives way to BEAUTIFUL views when parked up. A quiet street, with free public toilets and public bins within 5 min walk of spots. Cafes and hotels along street- would recommend Preston Sands (Kinda Place), vegan, alternative minded and generally very accepting of all folk. Very good food now new chef is in. WARNING: we’ve heard that if stormy/rough weather then waves during high tide can crash onto the parking spots, please use own judgement as to weather is appropriate for a stress free stay. I think you could stay a couple of nights absolutely no problem, especially if giving custom to Kinda place and attend events. I recommend arriving day light, high tide. -more spaces, less dog walkers

Ab Oktober! Winter-Location.

fabulous free parking. we got lucky and got the last spot ,there's only room for half a dozen vans now the beach huts are back . it's a tight entrance if the beach huts have cars with them ,there is a turning place at the end if not any spaces left .

  • 4/5

The beach huts have been installed ( March2024) so the free parking has gone until October. That aside, great place with views and tranquility. Just check the tide tables and weather reports before overnighting. Retreated a few weeks ago in the face of a high tide at 3am combined with a 22mph southerly wind. Toilets (30p) just a short walk away on the Green. Laundry 2minutes walk.

Stayed last night. No problem. Gets busy with dog walkers next morning after 10am. Lovely views. Quiet at night

  • 5/5

Stunning stop, great walks, shops nearby & people really friendly . Weather was great too so got up early to run with dogs on beach/promenade & swam all before breakfast.

  • 5/5

We had a great night here, despite slightly rough seas. Nice and quiet, a few other vans around and no signs saying no overnight parking. Easy walk into Paignton and also walkable to Torquay.

  • 5/5

Really nice park up right next to the sea. The spaces are almost level and we had good 4g connection (EE and O2). There are a couple water taps but they were turned off.

  • 5/5

What a view as we arrived in the dark; the pier looked amazing all lit up. The sound of the waves 2 feet away from us was bliss to fall asleep to. Then waking up and having my morning coffee above the sea was wonderful. A few other campers / motor homes there even in February, so felt totally safe. Definitely recommend!

  • 5/5

Excellent location stayed here for 2 nights 17/11 & 18/11 but ventured out through the day to visit local places, very quiet park up once the sun goes down the toilets are 30p and a 5 minute walk away if required. Would definitely visit again.

Awesome spot! I arrived early afternoon, and not another van in sight. I thought I hadn’t read the ‘fine print’ somewhere. Anyway, went for a walk, which was invigorating, and returned to still no company. I made some tea, and as if it was preplanned, about 7pm, there was a steady stream of vans pulling in for the night! The only sounds I heard were the waves crashing and the odd train. Perfect !

  • 4/5

Great place to park by the sea for the night, best spot at the end of the parking lot, it was stormy & windy but all was calm by the morning. Sign says 4 hrs parking limits between 8am - 10pm from 1 May - 30 Sept. Award winning fish n chips on Paignton Pier a short walk away.

  • 5/5

We have a 7m motorhome and came to Paignton for a show at the Palace Theatre. We parked here because of the reviews about parking tickets elsewhere. Lovely spot and friendly locals. We supported local businesses buying meals, drinks, groceries, using local transport, and Christmas Shopping. Respect the place and keep waste taps closed!! Locals and their dogs don’t want to walk in it …

  • 5/5

Great spot go past beach huts and you can park on the double yellow lines for the night with a great view and not be in the way.

  • 5/5

nice free place to stop, parked up close to the back of the beach huts, a little noisy as the turning circle is a meeting point for cars and bikes but no dramas.

  • 1/5

-5 Sterne.

  • 1/5

Also jetzt (April) stehen die Hütten da.

  • 3/5

Stayed here 8.1.23, would be a 5 if it wasn’t for the inconsiderate large camper with a generator running for half the night, so loud and smelly. Totally disrespectful to the locals. Place was otherwise perfect, leave a path between barrier and van, for walkers/runners. Locals were friendly, with there good mornings.

  • 3/5

Hi guys stayed here 8/1/23 great location The only problem we had was big motorhome with generator going from dawn till dust very loud This I think must of upset the locals had to move at 1am due to water bombs approx 10 hitting our motorhome over a period of 30mins We have stayed here a few times and had no issue but try not to park in front of the apartments happy travels

  • 5/5

We parked here overnight for New Years Eve, which was a perfect spot with panoramic views of the fireworks from Torquay, Brixham and Paignton. It was great to wake up being so close to the ocean in the morning, wish there were more spots like this! Highly recommend and would return in the future.

  • 5/5

would love to find more stops like this easy access and perfect flat location right on the water. Easy walk to town and great waterfront walks. Had 2 very quiet and comfortable nights here end of November. Several others staying.

  • 4/5

An excellent parkup. Rough sea could be a problem. Park a meter from the fence so the local runners can get by in the morning. You are parked in front of houses, so be good and leave no trace.

  • 4/5

Great spot in the winter I visited end of November and was plenty of parking. Parked up for the night and went to the toilets with 30p in coins but toilets were closed and opened at 8am Also dont take cash. I did find a 24 hour shower & Toilets on google 12 minuets away but didnt go. Gotta try Scoffs Chips while your here.

  • 5/5

This is actually only a mile from home but such a beautiful spot to spend a night. Be quiet and respectful and you'll be left alone. Only available Oct to Mar as it's full of beach huts in summer. Nearby toilets are 30p and open 8 till 5ish in the winter.

  • 5/5

An undisturbed night here, was very much appreciated. Thank you for not making us feel unwelcome! Respect this lovely spot and the local residents. Leave absolutely no trace of your stay and keep for us all for the future.

  • 3/5

a few vans when I arrived. but many gone by dusk. park facing the sea with spaces deep enough for m 7.5 meter camper. easy walk to the harbour and shop. a great find in days when free spots to park are going . thank you Paignton . I

  • 5/5

Stayed for 1 night, few other campers here. Free off season as it states above. brilliant spot righ on the seafront overlooking the sea. toilets down the road but cost 30p. drinking water located on the beach showers. brilliant spot. Will possibly be back tonight if we struggle to find a spot later on.

  • 5/5

Stayed Fri night mid November - lovely spot, no issues. Woke to sound of waves washing on the beach. Several dog walkers & joggers early morning, rail track close by, but didn’t bother us. Would recommend.

  • 5/5

Incredibile spot!! Stayed for the night, free. Sunrise in front of the parking.. Breathtaking view. Very quiet and nice local shops, just a few minutes walking. No trouble from locals. Dog walkers and fishers in the morning

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

Great location (Mid Oct 21). Several other vehicles here overnight, no signs, no fee, no trouble from locals. Leave a bit of path near the barrier as it’s popular with walkers. Quite exposed but it was a stormy night and not too much of an issue.

  • 5/5

Good night sleep and we parked next to the beach huts as the sign for no overnight was for the parking spaces on the other side I believe

  • 4/5

Sign saying no over night but managed to stay is sheds there now still can park but quite tight wish 2.95 still fitted and had awesome nights sleep can get busy in the morning

  • 5/5

Excellent spot. Toilets moved down the way to centre of green, but close enough. Busy spot for locals parking and dog walking.

  • 5/5

Lovely spot overlooking the sea, lots of spaces with a few Motorhome staying here overnight. Hard standing level spaces, no facilities, but local pubs and cafe within walking distance.

  • 4/5

I drove down and it was full but, plenty of cars leaving so did not need to wait long. short walk to the pier.

  • 3/5

Has anyone stayed here recently (Feb 20). Just having a look but note there is a sign saying no overnight stops. There is a large 8m+ parked now but wondering if any problems. Thanks!

  • 4/5

Great free spot. Toilets now being converted to payment. Have a care for residents/hotels view and park at the far end of the road where there is turning space and not overlooked by properties.
