    No overnight camping here anymore.

  • 1/5

What a shame we have lost this beautiful spot, as from 28 September day time only. It became too popular.

  • 3/5

Now no camping overnight (28/9/23). Beautiful place to stay. Such a quiet night. I have stayed here a couple of times now. I woke up this morning to find that the council putting up no camping overnight signs. such a shame but still a good day spot. Council man stated that police can take away vehicles if they find you staying here overnight.

Good for dog walking. Thats the important one for me

  • 5/5

Great quiet place to park! We did a lovely hour walk to the tunnel and back in the morning. Was super quiet all night so got a great sleep!

  • 3/5

Very Quiet and lots of space. Parked at about 8pm, 5 campers total. Pretty view, horses and their babies on one side, fields on the other! Best spot so far

  • 5/5

Lovely park up, quite nights sleep and awoken to bird’s singing and a view over the field, on a public footpath, cycleway, can walk for many mile in either direction.

  • 5/5

perfect spot, lovely and very quiet. couldn't ask for more

  • 5/5

Occasional farmer gunshot but otherwise super peaceful and surrounded by nature

  • 5/5

Lovely peaceful park up. Such a quiet night. Next to a track perfect for long walks, runs, bike rides etc... We were with two other overnighters. Plenty of space.

  • 5/5

Bit awkward to find first time round but Amazing park up… felt very safe… ample room… if it’s peace an quiet you are after then this tops the lot….phone and tv signal was a bit hit an miss…will definitely use again if in the area

An amazing place! Single track roads lead to it but they are in good condition. A little unlevel. I stayed 2 nights, on 1st night 2 x motor homes and 2 x vans. On 2nd night same 2 x motor homes, another came in the night but was gone by morning. Plenty of parking even for larger motor homes, but there are low hanging branches. Locals are very friendly and engaging. Spoke with several during my stay. Even though dog walkers use the area, very quiet. At night this place is a dream! EE reception - excellent. Vodafone 3G only. 3 network - good.

At the end of a wet few weeks it has a veneer of mud that's a challenge not to walk into your van, but it's not deep mud you might get stuck in. It's been the quietest and darkest spot I've stayed in - it's also felt very safe. Recommended.

Very nice spot. Had a nice quiet nights sleep and was the only vehicle there. A car did arrive late evening and I think it was just kids having a puff. They left after about 30 mins. Please take rubbish with you to protect this great park up.

  • 5/5

Absolutely superb park up. Very quiet, very rural location. There were 4 other vans here. No restrictions, please arrive late and leave early to avoid antagonising the locals. Possibly the nicest, cleanest, safest park up I have ever encountered.

  • 5/5

Very quiet, lovely little spot, on our way to a festival

  • 5/5

Gute Mobilfunkabdeckung.

it's a lovely place as others have said but access is via a narrow road only really suitable for smaller motorhomes, larger units may have issues if come across other traffic coming the other way.

  • 4/5

Nice quiet space, park at the end of the car park for a break in the trees for Solor panels. No facilities.

  • 5/5

Really lovely, peaceful and easy to find spot. 3 other vans parked up when I arrived at 11pm but lots of room. Felt very safe. Nice walk in the morning down the cycle path. A few dog walkers and joggers in the morning who all smiled and waved :-)

cracking little spot. I rolled up at 3am and slept like a baby until 11am .

Thanks for this recommendation. It’s a beautiful spot. Spent a very peaceful Tuesday night. Lovely walks too.

  • 4/5

Very peaceful night in car park area , not bothered by anyone or any noise , very level . Lovely field opposite with Clydesdale foals playing which was lovely to watch. One other van there also , felt very safe . Brompton cycle path both ways from park up with lovely flat routes to explore from. Would recommend!

  • 5/5

Great spot, we are in a 7.4 meter Motorhome and there was plenty of space for us and 2-3 smaller vans. Great park up and quiet. We were joined by a few youngsters in cars that were a bit noisy at around 9.30pm, but they only stayed 10 mins. Would definitely stay here again

  • 4/5

stayed overnight, no height restrictions, no issues. Quiet night. ee phone and internet signal good. tv reception good. nice little spot.

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

Perfect overnight for us. Loads of space and peaceful. Lots of cyclists passing by on this cycle route but no problem to us. Lovely to see the ponies and foals in the field beside us. We had a very pleasant walk to Kelmarsh Tunnel which is just over a mile away. Would love to stay again if passing.

  • 5/5

It was an okay spot, lovely little village we walked through in the morning. Cars were in the car park playing loud music but left before 10pm, after that only woke up once to people walking past the van talking at around 2:30am and then a group of people walking by at around 6:30 which is when I woke up. Overall a good location. lots of space, no height restrictions, no charge, only a dog bin so take your rubbish with you :)

  • 5/5

Very peaceful and great walks around!

  • 5/5

Great stop over, arrive just before dark as busy with dog walkers they have gone home by then.possible best stop over in the world.dog walkers arrive at first light but they make no noises and respect vans.

  • 5/5

Amazingly quiet place. I walked to the tunnel and through the tunnel. Still people walking and cycling around and it's 9pm and pitch dark. If you come please don't leave rubbish!

  • 5/5

Arrived in pitch black darkness and parked on ‘wrong’ side of road in an area that took our Moho and still left the cycle trail accessible. Discovered how amazing the location is the following day when I took the dogs for a walk along the disused railway line, stunning! The bigger car park is on the other side of the road.. Stunning location, lovely walks and very scenic remote area..

  • 5/5

Spent a lovely peaceful night here last night. No noise no cars. Dog bins only, so please take any rubbish with you.

  • 4/5

Quiet spot for the night. A couple of stoners in their cars, but they left around 11pm.
