Great, small campground. Clean & warm toilets. Many recycling bins inside. Washing machine & dryer available for use (extra cost). Friendly owner. It was quite muddy.
Le camping CJA est situé dans une ferme, Hjalli. Le petit village de Laugar est à seulement 2 km de la ferme, Mývatn est à seulement 35 km et Húsavík à 40 km. Contrairement à toutes les autres zones de campagne en Islande, chaque groupe dispose d'une zone privée séparée entre 80 et 160 mètres carrés. C'est aussi pourquoi il est possible de faire une réservation à l'avance. Le camping a officiellement ouvert ses portes en juillet 2011, mais la préparation a commencé plusieurs années auparavant. Les premiers arbres et haies ont été plantés en 2004. L'objectif était dès le départ de faire en sorte que chaque groupe ait sa propre superficie. Chaque zone a des arbres et des haies sur trois côtés et est assez grande pour accueillir plus d'une famille. Pour les clients, les voitures les plus confortables peuvent être garées dans la zone à côté de la tente.
CJA campsite is located at a farm, Hjalli. The small village of Laugar is only 2 km from the farm, Mývatn is only 35 km and Húsavík 40 km away. Booking via Parka.is app.
Unlike all other campareas in Iceland each group gets a privat seperated area between 80 and 160 squaremeters. This is also why it is possible to make a reservation in advance.
The campsite officialy opened in July 2011 but the preperation started many years before. The first trees and hedges were planted in 2004. The goal was from the beginning to make sure that every group gets their own area. Each area has trees and hedges on three sides and is large enough to host more than one family. For the guests best comfort cars can be parked in the area next to the tent.
Der Campingplatz CJA befindet sich auf einem Bauernhof in Hjalli. Das kleine Dorf Laugar liegt nur 2 km vom Bauernhof entfernt, Mývatn nur 35 km und Húsavík 40 km. Im Gegensatz zu allen anderen ländlichen Gebieten Islands verfügt jede Gruppe über einen separaten privaten Bereich zwischen 80 und 160 Quadratmetern. Aus diesem Grund ist es auch möglich, im Voraus zu reservieren. Der Campingplatz wurde im Juli 2011 offiziell eröffnet, die Vorbereitungen begannen jedoch einige Jahre zuvor. Die ersten Bäume und Hecken wurden im Jahr 2004 gepflanzt. Ziel war es von Anfang an, sicherzustellen, dass jede Gruppe ihre eigene Fläche hat. Jeder Bereich hat Bäume und Hecken an drei Seiten und ist groß genug, um mehr als eine Familie aufzunehmen. Für die Kunden können die bequemsten Autos im Bereich neben dem Zelt geparkt werden.

camping agréable, nous y avons été très bien accueilli. douche chaude et espace commun à disposition. seul bémol pour la cuisine qui n'est pas chauffée et peu équipé.

Camping básico pero que cuenta con lo indispensable. Lavabos calefactados con duchas. Cocina que no está calefactada pero en cambio si cuenta con una sala con sillas y mesas para comer sin pasar frío. El dueño nos recibió de manera muy amable y nos explicó todo muy bien!
katieeberryy13/11/2023We weren’t given a friendly arrival. The man who “welcomed” us was very rude and standoffish. The kitchen area only have two electrical hobs that too 20 minutes to warm up some water and it was freezing in there. There wasn’t anywhere to fill up water for the van and not much space to park. Definitely not worth the money. They charge you for everything! Feel like money grabbers.

Parking caro para los servicios que tiene 2000isk. La cocina tiene 3 placas que no calientan mucho y carece de mesa y sillas para comer tranquilamente. Lo bueno, es que había calefacción en el baño. Las duchas gratis pero el agua caliente escasea.

Camping très agréable, réceptionniste qui nous a donné des conseils pour se placer en temps de pluie. 2 douches disponibles cote femme avec 3 toilettes, très propre. Petite salle commune pour cuisiner et faire la vaisselle (avec eau chaude). Prix correct pour la prestation, 4700isk pour 2 avec électricité. Petit bémol : pas de zone pour eau grise et pas de remplissage d’eau pour van/camping car.

Nous y sommes allée le 7 au soir vers 21h. La personne de la réception nous a très mal accueilli … les terrains étaient pleins d’eau il nous a dit que c’était à nos risques et périles de s’y aventurer qu’on était arrivé trop tard et que c’était pas son problème. Plaque électrique mais rien pour s’assoir manger. Douche et wc pas mal si c’était propre…

Très bon camping, bien organisé. 2000 isk par personne (sans électricité) possibilité d'avoir un emplacement près de la réception/cuisine/sdb pour 1900 isk par personne. WC et douches (eau chaude) propres WiFi disponible près de la réception. Espace cuisine Nickel pour 1 nuit !

Staff very kind, and camping area very organized. Cooking area very nice. Toilet and shower very clean and warm. Room where people can read books, charge mobile phones, take a meal is nice and warm but small, specially if it’s raining. Outside are is nice as well

Super camping, avec un bon espace pour les vans, les prix sont très corrects et les endroits pour faire la cuisine ou à manger sont très pratiques. Les sanitaires et douches sont très propres. Je recommande !

Nice place, clean toilets, warm water. Super gentle host, who was very happy as we checked-in in person, instead of using the online check-in.

Emplacement parfait ! Deux machines, équipement de cuisine, plaques chauffantes, salle chauffée, salle de bain et WC chauffés, propres. Rien à redire. La réception est très agréable !

Place to be! Perfectly organized, everything you need available in kitchen. One WC shower for men, two for women. Recreation room behind reception :) PS: Pleased respect farmer's rules to ensure a lovely stay for everybody.

Family type of camp, cozy, a lot of spots, but the campsite was almost empty. Kitchen and warm room available. Each spot is big and has barriers to keep you in private.
TimboSlice__19/04/2022unfortunately the snow has apparently only recently melted so you can only park on the driveway beside the toilets or in the asphalt in section L in the image someone else posted. kitchen is freezing but nicely set up. the sinks don't work due to frozen pipes though so had to us e toilet sinks. toilets are warm. it's quiet.
park4nightYoda11/09/2021Każdy ma wyznaczone małe poletko do zaparkowania. Łazienki ok, jeden prysznic damski, jeden męski. Największa tragedia to kuchnia (aneks kuchenny). 3 zlewy na zmywanie są ok ale tylko 2 palniki. Brak stołów w kuchni, kuchnia nieogrzewana a dodatkowo z dwóch stron otwarte drzwi bez możliwości zamknięcia ich (zablokowane przez właściciela) co tworzyło nieznośny przeciąg przy temperaturze 4stopni.
berniethebulli12/08/2021An sich ein sauberer und gepflegter Campingplatz. Besonders ist auf die Nachtruhe hinzuweisen, welche von dem Besitzer SEHR nachdrücklich durchgesetzt wird. Der Platz ist ein echtes Eldorado für Fliegen - ohne Citronella Kerze eine echte Herausforderung. Wer auf der Suche nach einem unkomplizierten Übernachtungsplatz mit entspannter Urlaubsatmosphäre ist, der ist hier an der falschen Adresse.

Sehr schöner angelegter Campingplatz mit viel Privatsphäre und einzelnen Bereichen. Auch der Sanitärbereich und die Küche war gepflegt. ABER: Der Besitzer war bereits von Anfang an sehr merkwürdig, man fühlte sich als junge Gruppe (20-27 Jahre) unwillkommen. Zudem gab es auf dem Platz sehr viele Mücken die lästig waren. Der Platz gehört oder hat irgendwas mit einer kirchlichen Einrichtung zu tun…

Sehr schön und eingeteilter Campingplatz mit viel Platz. Man fühlt sich hier richtig frei. Toiletten und Dusche sauber. Der Besitzer kommt auch ungewöhnlichen Fragen sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit entgegen.

Sehr schöner Camping mit netten Besitzern. Es wurden auf viele schöne und praktische Details geachtet. Stellplätze grosszügig und mit Bäumen und Hecken von den Anderen abgegrenzt. Windschutz top! Servicehaus mit warmen Duschen (inkl) und Koch-/Abwaschbereich (Innenraum). Getrennte Entsorgung. Frischwasser und Abwasser für Camper. 1500 isk pP ohne Strom. Unser bisher allerbestes Preisleistungsverhältnis in Island!
