A small public campsite in the middle of the national park. The road there is not the best. Good display for walks. There is a nearby fishing where you can buy fresh trout. There are also fire pits at the campsite. There are only Dixi-Klos.

Lovely, basic, free spot. The road is indeed a challenge, it took us a loonngg time to do the last 4km, but worth it. Very bumpy and some low hanging trees. We spent 4 days there with no problem. Two portable toilets which were cleaned and emptied a few times. The campsite smells of urine in the evening .. not sure why. Some rubbish. In the evenings we were visited by 3 foxes looking for food.

A great spot in the national park. Relatively busy with locals camping but they were all very welcoming and we still had our own space. We were able to find a nice shady spot so it was good to avoid the heat and good for our dog. A very cold river you can swim in. There are bins but still a lot of rubbish and toilet roll around. Basic toilets.

From Potoc the road is not recommended for a night arrival. If you are a confident driver it is accesible by camper 6.2m x 2.3m x 3.2m high. Some tree branches will be pushed aside by the camper. Gravel and stone road is good enough for 2WD. From camp you'll have acces to the river. First night busy with approx 15 tents with locals. Good friendly atmosphere. Second night only two other campers.

Official campground in the national park. Big flat grassy area at the end of a forest track (absolutely no problem with 4x4). Dixi toilets only. Good spot for a hike to lacul ochiul beului and waterfall (1'30h). At the time of our stay, only two other campers were there (weekend), so pretty quiet.

Public camping, nice and quiet. but probably not the place to go in peak seson when the facilities are overcrowded and not mentain properly. the road is a forest road with some chalanges but you can go with a camper with no problems.

Sehr idyllisch.

Reached it with a campervan 2.3m wide easily. the campground was great. in October there are not many people or at all. The view is great and the trails are very well maintained.

You can reach it with a car, but it's not fun and not worth it. Don't do it. Just hike it all the way if you want to visit the waterfall etc. The camping area itself is nice, it's a beautiful location, but the dixis were almost overflowing and there were multiple groups of people playing loud music.

The place is great to spend the night - flat surface, quiet, nature all around, electricity, portable toilets. The road is indeed a challenge, this is the reason I took away one star. We went with a 3t, 7m long camper and we managed to get there in about 50 minutes from Podul Bei. You can get there with a camper but be prepared to go very slowly and maneuver the camper all over the place to make room for cars coming the opposite direction. There is room for just one car going either way so if you encounter another, one of them needs to go backwards until the road gets a bit larger so you can pass.
