Take care on the narrow, steep access road, but larger vans can park on the shoulder at the top of the road near the level crossing and walk into the village. Amazing spot with pubs and shops. The village welcomes people using its services/pubs, etc. Train station to Plymouth.

You are made to feel extremely unwelcome. The locals are sick of people parking up now and make it very clear very quickly that you’re not allowed to stay there. Difficult tight access…toilets never cleaned. Pub isn’t nice. River is dirty! Avoid like the plague
Council are thinking of putting ticket machines and barriers going up, same with Kit Hill
Really nice. Very friendly village - pls spend a little in a pub or shop. Quiet night, toilets open all night and cleaned. Recycling containers. our van is 640 + bikes. 210 wide.
really nice spot. we didn't spend the night but the people are kind and told us we should stay and it shouldn't be a problem to stay at the parking spot.
I ve stayed here a few times. Great spot near river and busy pub and a sometimes noisy social club. toilets open about 8am. As it is the car park for the village, pub, dog walkers etc it is usually pretty busy but nobody bothers you. I think I did see a small no camping sign last time I was there but as locals park their vans there it s impossible to tell who is who.
decent spot, plenty of parking spaces. a few other campers overnight. there are toilets that open late morning and a water tap too. had a quiet night sleep here however its not very private and there are quite a few people around in the daylight. we stayed on a Sunday night and we had no issues in the morning.
