Great park up, toilets very clean, hot water. Cafe open 9am-2 Sat. If you are a light sleeper you will need earplugs, road is busy. Hardstanding slightly sloping.
West Knoyle Lay-by en retrait de l'A303 principal. Toilettes propres et excellent petit café en bordure de route. Petit déjeuner anglais complet avec du thé ou du café, du pain et du beurre à seulement 5,50 £. Je n'ai pas passé la nuit mais les camions le font, pourquoi pas?
West Knoyle Lay-by set back from the main A303. Clean toilets and excellent little roadside cafe. Full English breakfast with tea or coffee, bread and butter just £5.50p. I didn't stay overnight but lorries do so why not?
Have stayed a few nights. Not sure when toilets close but they are not open all night. Road noise isn't too bad through the night but quite a bit of traffic in the morning.

SandMVanlife29/11/2025stayed here and there is a lot of parking space on tarmac, with through road and designated parking lane. most of the parking area is over hung by trees, so when it rained, it dripped. next to busy road, but did not notice it to much. toilets open all night and clean. had cleaning products in a bucket, including a mop. nice location.

Just stopped for a break. Didn't expect toilets to be open but they were ( 3 in ladies block) and were clean, with toilet paper, soap & hand towels. Excellent stop. Would stay the night based on other reviews.
Phock202410/09/2024Stayed on Sunday Night was very pleasant only let down was O1 signal where I parked didn’t get any signal at all but that’s my own issue. Over than a little road noise it wasn’t that bad will definitely stay there again next time I’m travelling towards Shaftesbury

Stayed here overnight on several occasions with no issues. During summer months the toilets are locked around 8pm weekdays & opened again early in the morning. Not sure what time they are open at other times. Rubbish Bin besides Cafe. Reasonable 4G signal. Responsible grey water discharge possible. There's a slight slope & camber. The layby can get busy at times with trucks & other vehicles.

Stayed last night, arrived 11.30 pm and left at 8.10 am Truck and few vans overnight. Very safe and woke to lovely views. A road adjacent quite busy this morning with steady traffic but very quiet, safe nights sleep. Toilets were open this morning (didn’t check last night!) and were very clean and being cleaned at time. Cafe closed but looks like will open later. Great stop.

The toilet block also has a disabled toilet that uses the Radar Key, so if you have one, open 24 hours a day. New pictures added, including Autum opening hours of the cafe.

Stayed here last night (15th Sept). Was on my way to get an alarm fitted to my camper at Taunton. A few wagons in. One in front of me with refrigeration unit, which kicked in now and again. A bit of road noise but nothing unbearable. There was a motorhome in too. I’d certainly use again if needed.

Very convenient for the A303 - the main road to the South West. Quite a lot of traffic noise -you are about 10 metres from the A303. Toilets closed by 7.30pm - midweek in May.

Lovely spot with level ground. Perfectly fine toilet facilities. Brilliant sandwiches are the bus-cafe. Bit if traffic noise but fair distance from the road. (Plenty of Kay bus you could stay in on the way down to the West Country, but this is one of the nicest).
