A free stay in a major tourist area - what a win. There are no facilities (apart from the pub toilets) but the carpark is flat (in the lower carpark) and very quiet. Of course you must eat at the pub, but the food is really nice. Breakfast available too, and there is a small shop and petrol station opposite the pub.
we parked at the rear of the restaurant. down the sloped drive. plenty of free spaces so no bother with our 7m long camper with a bike rack. we had booked dinner in the restaurant. unfortunately it was poor and not worth the money we paid. pity. Great overnight parking scheme though
Wie auch in den anderen Bewertungen geschrieben, eine wunderbare Möglichkeit um Übernachten zu können und das Essen im Restaurant war ebenfalls sehr gut.
Großer Parkplatz hinter dem Restaurant. Haben etwas gegessen und getrunken um hier zu übernachten. Preise fürs Essen sind etwas gehoben. Das Essen war lecker hätte aber gerne etwas mehr sein dürfen.
Great stop. Massive carpark with overflow one empty, flatter and further from road so quiet. Nice food and ambience in restaurant.

Spacious carpark at back of Wicklow Heather, very quiet. Had meal in restaurant, staff very friendly and food was decent. Would definitely use again if in the area.
Wir haben hier sehr gut gegessen und getrunken und konnten auf dem grossen Parkplatz hinter dem Restaurant übernachten. Personal war sehr freundlich und erlaubte uns dies.
Quiet car park behind lovely friendly restaurant. No problem staying if you eat there. They also do breakfast.
Geräumiger Parkplatz und Pub mit hervorragenden Essen. Waren einmal Abendessen und zwei Mal frühstücken hier, war immer sehr gut und das Personal super freundlich. Am Abend das Restaurant sehr gut besucht, außer uns aber keine Wohnmobile.
Resto au top , cuisine délicieuse et personnel au petit soin et parking très calme à l’arrière du restaurant. Completement Safe. Le petit plus, certains parlent français. Bref allez-y sans hésiter.
Great place to stay ! Really great food, very friendly staff, and a lot of space for motorhomes (even very large ones). An ideal combination of having a wonderful dinner experience (incl. a couple of pints) and then staying overnight right behind the house.
Nous avons très bien manger un dimanche soir et nous sommes restés pour dormir dans le parking en bas sans problème. je recommande fortement pour une belle soirée.
we stayed the night after asking at reception advised to park in overflow car park at rear. plenty of space and some level spaces. had a very nice meal in restaurant very nice staff.
We passed by today (21 July 2021) and the car park has been significantly converted to Covid friendly outside dining with no space at all to park. We’d love to try out at a quieter time as it looked lovely. Three stars only because it isn’t currently viable as a stopover IMHO.
Stayed overnight at the Wicklow Heather. fab food. lovely location.
