  • 2/5

A well run and very clean sight, with small but perfectly acceptable hard pitches. I read the reviews before choosing here. I sleep through anything and always find it quite comical when people mention noise from a road, et cetera keeping them awake. Well, this site has a constant drone which is worse once your head is on the pillow. Plus they start loud work at 7 am. Loudest night in 4 weeks.

  • 3/5

Constant noise. Not for light sleepers. New showers heated by solar power. No sun, no heat. Old shower block was fab. Very hot water with adjustable tap. Warm changing room. Convenient for walk to the Menin Gate and city centre.

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

Absolutely awesome place. We booked online and had the private bathroom pitches as a treat for the end of our two month road trip. So clean and well presented. EHU and water on pitch & hook up waste. Owners were polite and helpful as we had a tyre issue. Called a garage for us and were so helpful. Even on a day of collecting non stop falling leaves. Ideal to town 10 min. General shower & wc clean

  • 5/5

Lovely place 10 mins walk from town through the park. Lovely welcome and very clean and tidy. Hot clean showers. Feels like your camping in the forest even though its quite close to town. Plenty of power included and bike hire available from the office. Choose between camper van type 'Aire' parking or larger campsite pitches, some even with their own bathroom. All in all lovely.

  • 4/5

Very well located for Ypres, just a short walk or cycle to the Menin Gate. Not much room on the aire-style camper pitches, but adequate. Showers and toilets very clean. Only real negative is the factory noise, a constant loud drone 24/7, so if you are sensitive to noise, this could be an issue. Ypres is a lovely city, highly recommend a trip here.

  • 5/5

clean. a nice ce welcome with full instructions and details of how to get to the Menin Gate on foot through the park. 22.50 Euro, including electric at 6amp.

  • 4/5

  • 5/5

Stayed one night back in May 2025. Couldn't fault it. Didn't use any of the facilities as I was here on a quick visit to Ypres. Surprised to hear about the noise. quiet when I was there. Good short walk to the town. Aldi supermarket nearby.

  • 3/5

Stayed here 1 night to see the last post ceremony. Great location for this, check in was really good and the person was really informative. I wouldn’t want to stay any longer than 1 night, the toilets & showers are very basic, and just not that appealing, quite industrial but work ok.

  • 3/5

€30 worse nights sleep for 7 weeks touring there was a continuous drone all night and heavy machinery working somewhere nearby ( off site ) the site is clean but not secure excellent place to visit the town etc toilet / shower block was clean some of the park ups aren't good we were lucky got a end pitch if it wasn't for the noise all night long it would of been five stars

  • 3/5

Zeer vriendelijke ontvangst. Plekje, smal /parking gevoel.

  • 2/5

Very disappointing. Central and clean, but no room on the pitch for our sun awning, too expensive and 6 amp electricity is pathetic. We need air con to keep our two dogs safe in the summer heat, and even on the lowest setting, it would cut out if you needed to run something else like the microwave or the hot water heater. Never had that problem anywhere else at all, not even on French Aires

  • 1/5

Nope! Most expensive campsite of our trip and the electric kept cutting out meaning we had to turn off our air con. This was the only reason for us using campsites. Pitches much too small, given the ridiculous price. Over 30 euros for one night. Not impressed.

  • 4/5

  • 4/5

fabulous site only let down by lack of toilets for size of site, told they are refurbishing them but no work was going on during our 2 night stay. the proximity to the centre is great and a lovely walk along a small forest and across the river. we visited my friends great grandads grave while there and also watched the last post which was very emotional. we will definitely return.

  • 5/5

Fabulous site in the heart of town. Clean facilities, friendly welcome and an excellent base for exploring. Need 2 or 3 days to do the place justice. Great for bikes.

  • 4/5

Sehr schöner, sauberer Stell- u Campingplatz. Freundliches Personal. Kurzer Fußweg zum schönen Ypern Zentrum. Flandern Fields Museum lohnt sich. 4 1/2 Sterne ... WLAN etwas wackelig.

  • 4/5

Great place to stay to visit Ypres. The staff were very helpful on booking. Has everything you need. I guess the price replicates the location. Short walk lovely walk through the small woods and along the moat into the Menin Gate. 2000hrs every night they do the last post at the gate, a must see.

  • 4/5

  • 4/5

great site for access to city centre ...15mins walk. good sized pitch worth booking one with awning space even if you don't have an awning. shower and toilet block clean . no shop on site .

  • 4/5

  • 5/5

We stop here always on our way to the ferry.love the town and Last Post. ANPR check in now and a few other changes just make it even better than before. Recommend you give yourselves a few days here to enjoy Ypres rather than rush away.

  • 4/5

Not cheap but everything is included. Quiet and close to the city center.

  • 3/5

Douchen zonder muntjes; heerlijk!

  • 4/5

Great location, walked to centre and menin gate. Very dark through forest, take head torch! Clean facilities. Pitch very sloping. In hindsight, we would have booked the cheaper motorhome pitch which was hard standing but more compact.

  • 5/5

Lovely campsite with lovely staff. Easy walk into the city and the Menin Gate. Nice facilities

  • 5/5

Giving this top marks due to location, helpful receptionist and pitches. I got my dates wrong on booking and they helped me out by fitting us in on a very busy day. Facilities key coded and clean. Shirt walk to Menin gate (no more than 10 minutes on the flat).

  • 5/5

The perfect post ferry campsite. Good size pitches, facilities all nice and clean. Reception very welcoming. We absolutely loved Ypres too - a really nice town to walk around with the dogs.

  • 5/5

Great campsite which is 10 minutes walk to Ypres. 2 sanitary blocks with showers and toilets. Black and gray waste disposal and fresh water availability. Historical aspects of the city and its shops and cafes are within easy walking distance along country paths. We took the train to Ghent which was a straightforward hour long train ride away. Would highly recommend and will return.

  • 5/5

We had a superb 2 night stay. Greeted with a helpful warm welcome. Facilities were adequate and clean. The biggest bonus of this site is how close to the centre of Ypres it is. Just a short and pleasant 10 minute walk away to the beautiful city. We will definitely come back here and stay for longer. Highly recommended.

  • 1/5

We booked to stay one night. When we arrived we were given A14 we didn’t like the pitch so I asked if we could move.Carolyn said that they were fully booked. I noticed A10 was free and asked if we could move she said no sir very abrupt. Next morning A10 was not taken so I went to the office and saw Jonas he said it was not booked it I would like to move so we stayed one more night.

  • 4/5

great for town centre access. tight spaces if you're staying for one night in camper or motorhome, but not the end of the world. staff helpful and facilities ok.

  • 3/5

Fantastic location for visiting Ypres and the Menin Gate. We booked a spot for a campervan and ended up in a very small concrete plot with 3 other vans and just 2 meters between vans. I should have booked a camping place but on the website it looked like that was for tents, I'll know for next time! Just 3 showers and 4 toilets each and only 2 sinks for washing up. Okay for 2 nights, no more.

  • 4/5

Rustige en goed gelegen camperplek dichtbij centrum, vriendelijke en correcte ontvangst. Aanrader. Douchewater werd niet warm, jammer.

  • 5/5

Really good camping, showers and toilets OK, walking to the town center for a nice path. We didn't book and we didn't have any problem. 23 euros in the front area, big plots, near to ferry and tunnel

  • 5/5

  • 4/5

Friendly reception with helpful advice and discount coupons. Two types of pitch bigger one grass smaller one concrete. Concrete pitches were fine, close together but campers became mates. Free shower. Short walk to town square. We would stay again.

  • 4/5

Nice site. Paid for premium pitch but they were quite small and surface dictated where you parked. The concrete pitches looked awful and very cramped! Facilities new and clean and beautiful location - 15 min to the centre of Ieper and very handy for Eurotunnel. Reception very friendly and informative, would stay again for 1 night.

  • 5/5

We came back second time in two months, the campsite is great, very well priced, great location. Good facilities. Staff are great and give information on Ypres and discounts for museums and beer. Our last place before the end of our Travels and we wanted to come back here because of how much we love it

  • 4/5

Excellent location for this campsite (10 mins from menin gate). check-in staff super helpful. Reception shower block having some renovation work so a few toilets unavailable but didn't cause a problem.Hard standing pitches quite small with 3 allowed on each section (perhaps 2.5 metres between units). Site unusually allowed cars directly in front of MH as well ?

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

Super friendly, phone call on day of arrival to confirm arrival time. Sanitary facilities spotless. 5 minutes walk to the centre.

  • 3/5

Nice site 10 minute walk into Ypres. One night stay the pitches are Small, pitches are better if you stay longer. Background industrial noise, might be annoying to some!

  • 5/5

Great location for Ypres, felt very lucky to be able to get in and out of town so easily. Campsite facilities were very clean and had heaters in each individual toilet. Hosts were very helpful and gave information on Ypres with discount voucher for experiences. Couldn't fault campsite. Menin Gates is currently under construction so last post was performed just outside it.

  • 5/5

Excellent spot to visit Ypres and tour the area. Friendly staff and good facilities. 10 mins to the Menin gate.

  • 4/5

For those researching their family first world war history Ypres is must and Urban Gardens site is ideal as a centre, with an easy 10 to 15 minute walk to the Memin Gate. The site is easily accessed by road and has all the facilities you will need plus they are very clean.

  • 4/5

Leuke goed georganiseerde camping.

Sanitair was ok.
