Yes, a great mostly level hard stand. Apparently two other motorhomes are usually parked, one at either end, but enough room for another three if parked sensibly. Fishers will come early sunrise but don't make much noise. Well off the beaten track so we got a peaceful night.
Shocked to find a motorhome parked side on with a trailer, taking 3 spaces! Guy came pointing at the last parking spot on a Fri night said he had to park like that coz of the trailer! No, you don't, take ya trailer off & put ot on the grass out of the way and park correctly. This place is for dog walkers and fishermen, respect it and your fellow vanner. People like you get these closed to us!
This parkup without a doubt gets a 5 star from me. Well tucked away and right on the canal edge with plenty of walks and very friendly canal boat owners. if people can make you feel welcome it is here and a lively pub just across from the canal. please be respectful of those that live on their boats. Very, very calm. Plenty of houseboats moored and people fishing. Peaceful and loved being by the water. Would stay here again!
Nice small and quiet parking along a canal. Arrived 6.30pm. After us one more van arrived. Nice roads leading to this spot as well. Just a few fishermen some house boats and narrow boats. Pub is just 100m away. Close to the road but very little traffic. Off-grid. No facilities.

Lovely quiet spot on the canal. Some parked cars but space for 3 or 4 vans when we stopped over. Decent looking pub short walk away although we didn't try it. Probably not be suitable for 7m motorhomes

Ein toller ruhiger Platz am Kanal. Ein netter Pub fußläufig in 5 Min zu erreichen. Morgens ein paar Angler. Wir haben hier prima geschlafen.
Stayed here last night as a stop near York, was very nice, few trains through the night but not overly noisey reasonable three/EE signal
spot on place, calm night at wonderful place. Lot of boats but quiet. No services. Definitely recommended for night or two. Near pub with nice food and drinks.
Wunderbarer Schlafplatz mitten in der Natur am Fluss. Wir haben super ruhig geschlafen. Abends hat es lediglich etwas nach Kuhstall gerochen. Das hat uns aber nicht weiter gestört.
Lovely quiet place to stop next to the canal
Nice free place to stop. NO facilities. Lovely to watch the boats on the canal. Loads of people fishing. Be careful over a weekend as there are “match fishing” events, so not really allowed to stay on a weekend. This is owned by the fisherman’s club, but allow Motorhomes to stay during week. So let’s not abuse this lovely spot. Really nice pub 2 minute walk away that does food.
The place itself is nice. There is a working lock and that was fun to watch the boats move under the bridge after it was opened. The Lock Master was very friendly and up for a good chat. The area is tidied and rubbish bins provided are emptied by volunteers so we took our rubbish with us to lessen their load.
