(HS9 5YD) Scurrival Campsite

Very friendly, stunning views, access to the beach across a field. Highly recommend. Angus the owner is a diamond and Colin who was looking after the site a double diamond. Facilities were superb with a camp kitchen and lounge. Loos with showers were spotless. Not modern but in keeping with the island vibe. Just the best you can get on the Western Isles.

Angus the owner was lovely and popped by for a chat. Colin who welcomed us couldn’t have been more helpful. 2 minutes across the road to a very quiet beach and a great sunset from the hill behind. Hot clean showers £1 per 5 minutes. Sitting area, kitchen with fridge & several showers.

We've been here a number of times. A beautiful spot. Angus the owner, is the most relaxed but helpful host and a natural conversationalist. People look forward to his visits. Great beach for paddle boarding or swimming and lovely walks on local small hills for amazing views. Weather patchy in June 24 but we have had many amazing days here in the past! Missing it already!

The most amazing campsite, run by a local islander. He’s not too great with email and internet but you can usually just turn up, and also extend your stay as you wish. Super clean, two shower rooms and two additional toilets. Washing machine £3 per wash/ honesty box, washing powder supplied. Shower £1 for 5min. Prices w/ electric £22, no electric £16. Simply an amazing place, go here if on Barra!

Nice campsite with good views. however, campsite is up the hill so most places have quite a slope but there are a couple of places up at top that are even (for 2 vans). Facilities are very nice and clean (you have proper bathrooms instead of only shower / toilet cubicles). Prices very fair at 10 pounds a person/ van/ night and 16 pounds / 2 people/van/ night. (Without electricity)

I don’t know what to say this is the most amazing campsite. It was £16 or 22 with power. Great shower block, kitchen area, and a lounge over looking the bay. Add to that the kindest down to earth person who owns it. We stayed two nights and would have stayed longer if we didn’t have a ferry to catch. It’s a hidden gem.

Great site at a good price. The views from the site and beach are amazing. Nice local walks as well. Didn’t have to pre book as it was fairly quiet which surprised me

We stayed here for 1 night in August 2023 it was £7.50pp. Very welcoming staff member on reception and the views are stunning. Showers are hot and cost £1 for 5 minutes. They have a kitchen and sitting room too. Would highly recommend

An amazing campsite with great views & spotless facilities. Have been travelling through the outer Hebrides for 1 month and scurrival is by far the best site we have stayed at whether you are in a motorhome, camper van or tent. Ideal for lightweight bike touring as there is even a lounge for wet weather, washing machine and fridge freezer. Thanks to Angus and Jeremy for making this trip special

Sehr schöner Platz! Wir standen hier für 2 Nächte am 5. und 6.06.2023. Freie Platzwahl bzw. der sehr unterhaltsame & freundliche Besitzer zeigt einem wo man gut stehen könnte. Ohne Strom zahlten wir günstige 15 £. Das Duschhaus ist älter, aber renoviert und sehr sauber. Duschen kostet 1 £ für 5 Minuten.

Parfait, terrain assez en pente, mais vous y trouverez sûrement votre bonheur. Installations sanitaires très propres. Compense bien l'insatisfaction de L'OVERNIGHT de l'île.

Lovely spot for the night, The owner Angus and Jeremy were nice and very accommodating for our last minute booking. Levelling blocks definitely required. Didn’t use the facilities as we were catching an early ferry to Uist’s but they looked clean and tidy.

This place is amazing! We have just arrived without a booking and it’s so peaceful with an incredible view. The owner is absolutely lovely and very accommodating. Facilities are very clean... for £5pppn this is a complete bargain. Wish we could stay here forever. (Also great signal and 3G).

Have just stayed here for 2 nights, perfect spot, huge field! Great facilities including COVID friendly kitchen. The owner, Angus, was very friendly and welcoming too! Hook up available, clean showers and toilets! It’s quiet here as well, no passing traffic...

Simple inexpensive campsite with lovely views. Showers, toilets and kitchen not open due to Covid 19. Has fresh water hose and chemical toilet disposal. Lovely friendly owner.

Good enough site on grass. Not very level chocks advised. Facilities were closed but ehu water and cdp available. Owner very welcoming and anxious to make us comfortable. Beautiful views and a short walk to the beach.

Propriétaire très sympathique. Grand terrain d'herbe un peu en pente. Magnifique vue le matin, quand nous nous sommes levés à l'aube pour prendre le ferry. Impossibilité de vidanger les eaux grises (comme un peu partout sur les Hébrides extérieurs). Nous avons payé £15 pour un camping-car, 2 personnes, électricité.
