Beautiful spot overlooking the river. It’s quiet at night. The toilets nearby were closed when we were there in the evening. Also, be careful of the water levels. The night we were there, half the car park ended up covered in water. I think the tides were especially high that night though. The water didn’t reach us up near the sauna. Otherwise, would definitely recommend. Very picturesque.

7 aout 2025.

Espectacular lloc, tranquil i ideal si busques relaxar-te. Li posem 4 estels perquè no té serveis, però hi ha una bona cafetería amb pastissets i dinars. Et pots banyar al riu, fer un passeig a peu o en bicicleta pel Barrow Way.

An absolutely unreal park up, right beside the river for a morning swim. Quiet and mini piers to eat your breakfast on. Ground is flat perfect for small/medium vans. Also a sauna and cafe, dreamy

A lack of services, but the cafe and coffee hatch are great. Beautiful site with plenty of space and friendly. Bikes and canoes for hire and a Sauna! Was able to talk to more seasoned vanners who helped me to sort out a problem with my water heater. Thanks a million, guys.

Very busy with vans at the weekend (8 parked up overnight) and a justifiably popular spot with walkers during the day. So nice, but probably not quiet.

One of the best spots we’ve found in Ireland. The cafe was closed when we visited on 30/10/24. Very friendly locals and cute goats who wander around the car park. The walk along the river is lovely and good for dogs. There are public toilets and litter bins by the old monastery. Such a great place, please don’t upset the locals!

Be wary of your sat nav - lots of confusing paths and roads could get you in a fix. A beautiful riverside parkup at the foot of a steep hill. Decent toilets/bins at the top (shut in evenings), or customer toilets at the excellent Mullacháin café (closed Nov. - Mar.). A few late night car visits but no noisy boy racers. Dark, quiet, good night's sleep and a paved trail for walking the dog.

Favourite stopover in Ireland. Flat spaces, next to the River Barrow with gorgeous views. Access to riverside path and a loop into the forest. Hire bikes from the cafe which is next to the carpark. (bike hire looked closed but just ask in the cafe). We had lunch at the cafe. Gorgeous food. Pizza €15. Public toilet up the hill, was spotless and had posh loo roll! (small things) Perfect.

A truly beautiful little spot. People in the cafe are friendly and helpful. The food is yummy and not over priced. Very nice walks along the river. There's a nice pub just a few minutes walk up the hill. The ruined Abbey is worth a visit too. We stayed 2 nights, very peaceful, quiet and safe. Friendly people all round. The carpark is clean, level and on solid ground. No rubbish facilities.

Great place to stay and cafe are pleased to welcome motorhomes to park not camp. There is an angry Dutch man living nearby but the locals advise just ignoring him. If you call the Garda they will speak to him again. They have no issue with you staying and there are waterways Ireland signs up to welcome you. Two car parks one by cafe one after it. Ignore his hand made graffic sign. Pub to the hill.

2 female ban garda from thomastown woke us at 1AM to "remind us we can only stay for 24 hours", even though we had just pulled up that evening. We gave this small village our custom and were really enjoying ourselves until this. The guards told us a local had phoned in so they are obviously not as friendly as we initially thought

Excellent stopover with a nice cafe got some lovely fresh brown bread delicious. No services but toilets at graveyard up the steep hill! A coffee Dock opens at weekends with refreshments. Car park surface rough andwhen it rainsvery mucky Carlow Co Co take note. Lovely walk along the river to Graignamanagh 10k if cycling beware of tree roots on the way. We stayed a few nights always some company.

Excellent spot. Good food in the cafe. Quiet. Evening walk beside the river is a must.

Nuit très tranquille et endroit très beau. A cette période le pub ferme à 18h

Very nice spot to stay a night. Owner of cafe very obliging. Opens at 11:00. Under no circumstances take the first road that you come to on the left when leaving New Ross to get to this spot as it leads to a small roundabout and a dead end, and you risk upsetting the residents. Take the SECOND turn, that goes past the pub on the way down. All good then.

Fantastic space to stop and stay. Part of the Columbian Way walk. Friendly neighbours and a resident donkey. Swimming in the river is a must. Millichain Café right at the car park, Martin, the owner and staff are lovely! Drive down beside the cemetery to discover a piece of paradise.

Stunning spot with a great cafe, support the owners by getting a bite to eat if you stay there and don't park in front of the monuments!

Super, calme, face à l'eau. Départ de la grande balade le long du Barrow à faire à pied ou en vélo. Toilette et eau au cimetière un peu plus haut. Super café.

Fabulous spot Family who own cafe very friendly. Steep descent to quay but perfectly accessibleLikely to be busy in summer.
