What a beautiful place to stay, the views are absolutely stunning! Beautiful beach just a couple of minutes walk. portaloo toilets absolutely immaculate , No EHU but who cares if your self sufficient. Louise was so helpful and informative and we will definitely be back! if you want peace and quiet this is the place to be! Kat, Dod and Mika the doberman

quiet, clean Place with a dixi toitoi, Whitewater, greywater. picnicbench. thats it. 25 £. maybe a little more green and a EHU or shower would be fine. nice view on the lake district mountains, waterfront 20 meters. behind the wall there are tons of blackberries. warm and helping contact to owner. we stood there for one night.

A great place for a quiet night in a wonderful location. £25 a bit on the pricey side as there is no EHU. Grey, black and fresh water is available. Louise the host was very helpful. Always contact them before going as there are only 5 spaces.

Ein wunderschöner Platz mit großen Parzellen in wunderbarer Landschaft. Der Küstenwanderweg führt direkt am Platz vorbei und man kann in beide Richtungen schöne Wanderungen unternehmen. Das Betreiberehepaar ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Bei unserem Womo war eine Abdeckung locker und ohne dass wir fragen mussten bekamen wir professionelle Hilfe bei der Befestigung. Unbedingt empfehlenswert!

Splended views of the Duddon Estaury, very picturesque. The Devon Inn is very friendly. Lovely beer garden to the side, be early to catch the sun. Please note that from June 2025 the site cost is now £25 per day/night.

What an absolute nugget of a place. Tucked away from everything. Endless uninterrupted view of the estuary and mountains in the distance. The local fish and chip shop deliver to the site which was an extra special surprise. Louise is very welcoming and helpful.

A fantastic find! Miles of empty beaches and lovely walks. Welcoming hosts, fantastic views, fresh water available, grey water disposal and the cleanest portaloo I've ever seen! We will be back!

It was a year since our last visit. Louise and Lea remembered us, even came and sat chatting while we waited to see the Red Arrows fly past, bit disappointing as they 9 little dots on the horizon lol. The site was fabulous, the views stunning even though the weather was a bit wet and windy, the site remained clear with surface water quickly draining away. See you next year.

Great stay at this lovely peaceful site. One of the quietest sites we have stayed at. Views to die for. Long walks round the beach to the lagoon and the tern colony. Will be back.

Wat een bijzondere en mooie plek. De wijdsheid is overweldigend en indrukwekkend. Het decor wisselt om de 13 uur; je kijkt uit op het estuarium met getijde water. Zeer vriendelijk eigenaars. Alle noodzakelijke voorzieningen aanwezig. Toiletten (2 Dixie’s) worden goed schoongehouden. Je kan er heerlijk wandelen. Wij komen graag terug.

We got a lovely welcome from Louise and took us to our pitch and gave us a tour of facilities.The Site is in a very quiet location with breathtaking views and stunning walks for our dogs even a picnic bench . The facilities where as described portaloo was immaculately clean and smelt fresh and cleaned daily ,fresh water and grey waste points easy to access and toilet waste waste disposal point.

We had 3 peaceful nights here. We received a warm reception from Louise on arrival. The toilet was immaculate with grey & black water disposal & fresh water. It was a 20 minute walk into the lovely historic little town & lovely coastal walks. The whole place had a very lovely community feel. We would definitely return.

Wonderful camp site with truly grand views on mountains and estuary. The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful. And the site is a former ship breaking yard owned by the family for a long time. The pitches are huge. You can also do beautiful hikes and watch birds! We will definitely come again !!! Highly recommended!

spent the night during a storm but views made up for it. Owners couldn't be more helpful and even text us in the morning to see if we had a good night after a stormy night. Well worth the visit with huge site with only 5 Park ups

Lovely view. Very peaceful! Great beach walk from the site. The Host was wonderful and a couple of oldies were very pleasantly surprised by the portaloo!!! W Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic site, portaloo which was very clean. £20 per night. We hadn’t booked, so phoned the number at the gate and the lovely Louise&Lea gave us access via a code, they came down to us within minutes. The site which was very quiet and peaceful, backs onto the most beautiful vast beach for lovely walks. Town close enough to walk into for something to eat. Info board on site with local eateries.

wow wow wow our new fave place. louise and Lea are so friendly. The views are to die for. great local pub the Devon, we had a lovely afternoon there, the locals are so nice, telling us stories about Leas family, great back story and really interesting the site is clean with the best portaloo I have ever seen. we felt safe, and had a great sleep as its also really quiet. great walks.

This place is amazing! Louise and Lea are super friendly and helpful. The views across the estuary are stunning, and there’s a lovely walk along the coast. I stayed for one night with a campervan, and the toilets and waste disposal are on-site. There’s no electricity or WiFi, but it was so peaceful. I highly recommend this site if you’re in the area. There are currently 5 pitches available.

Mooie, rustige locatie. Eigenaresse ontving ons zeer vriendelijk. We belden haar een paar uur van tevoren op. Betalen alleen met cash. Elke plek heeft een picknicktafel met een klein lichtje voor in de avond. Toilet is eenvoudig, maar zeer netjes. Wij hadden niet het beste weer, dus we hebben helaas niet veel gedaan in de omgeving. Deze plek is echt een aanrader!

We can’t recommend this beautiful little site enough, it’s spotlessly clean with 2 toilets waste water disposal & fresh water. BBQ’s are allowed. Ideal for a nice relaxing getaway of Bird watching Fishing bike riding or walking the costal path & with a short hop into town. Louise/ Lee are the perfect hosts always on hand & there when needed. We can’t recommend the site enough it’s Beautiful..

What a fabulous place to stop, amazing views, quiet, and a lovely hostess. Absolutely huge 'pitches' grey, black and fresh water, bins and the cleanest portaloo I've ever used. Wish we had come across this earlier on our trip as we would have stayed longer. Easy to book just ring Louise or Lea, we paid cash £20 for the camper and 2 adults, but Louise offered bank transfer. Definitely recommend.

Had 2 lovely nights. Very welcoming hosts, large clean motorhome area. Securely gated with no other traffic to disturb. Views across the estuary with plenty of waders to watch- even saw a seal this morning! Will definitely come back.

Ein toller Ort. Waren zwei Nächte da. Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen auf dem England Coast Path. Untouristische Gegend. Wer nicht mehr braucht, fühlt sich so wohl, wie wir uns fühlten. Louisa kümmert sich herzlich um Platz und Gäste.

Well, what a find! We were planning on staying one night, but stayed for two, just to take in the view a bit longer. It's a fascinating place to explore with it's history. Lots of walking possibilities and town on the doorstep (Tescos and train station). Louise and Lee are very friendly and welcoming hosts and we wish them all the very best with the campsite.

Louise and her husband were so friendly, accommodating and happy to help when I turned up with no booking and late afternoon. Absolutely gem of a couple. The cleanest portaloos I have ever used, absolutely spotless. Views are amazing and the golden sandy beach at the bottom of the path is stunning. Plenty of space and refreshing to see limited spaces given the size of the land Highly recommend.

Cracking place, the views over the estuary with the hills in the background are fantastic. Level gravel pitches. Excellently kept toilets plus waste disposal. Lovely beach about 5 mins walk. Louise and Lee very friendly and engaging. Perfect.

Fabulous night’s stay. The views of the Duddon estuary are amazing. Super clean portaloo toilets. Locked gate so extremely safe. Lovely walks direct from van. Don’t hesitate to stop over.

*A MUST* This spot is perfect for those wanting a relaxing place by the beach (which is often empty), with a beautiful ‘wall to wall’ view across (and around) the Estuary. The site and surrounding areas are all dog friendly with walks across the beach into town. Louise and Lea (the owners) could not have done enough for us. It is clear they are both very passionate about their place and visitors.

If you want somewhere away from it all then this is ideal. Very peaceful even with a right of way through the site(no issues). Very clean and tidy, facilities (no EHU) clearly labelled. Entry by code to gate and loo. Louise meets each booking to check them in and take payment if not already made. Great views watching the tide come and go. Lovely walk along the beach. Definitely stop here again.

Lovely little site right on the estuary, very peaceful and quiet. Water is available along with grey and black water emptying. There's two portaloos available although one was out of order. Very nice views and walks, easy walk into town. Will definitely return, thanks again.

This place is a gem! Fabulous views. Short walk onto the beach which was perfect for our dogs. Louise was very helpful. We will definitely be back.

Cracking weather, nice walks, very quiet, very clean toilets. Amazing, quiet, beach. Difficult to better the view. If you want to see lakeland in one frame, sit back and look over the Duddon Estuary, hills and to lakeland. I even saw a Barn Owl at 0800 today. Louise very helpful too. Close to home so we will be back.

For the perfect piece and quiet this is the place to visit. Everything on site set out perfectly with seven picnic tables for your breakfast and barbecue. Take a walk off the site and your literally next to the beach and not too far from the town and the local shops. The portaloo is like walking into Dr Who's tardis, everything else on the site is kept in top form by Louise and Lea.

you could not wish more from a motorhome site. clean and tidy and great views and Louise and Lea will do anything for you. I will be back

little gem of a spot! doesn't have all the amenities but more than makes up for it with the views... only £20 for the night, porta toilet was spotless, bbq allowed and even ur own picnic bench ..

The view alone was worth £20, the endlessly changing beauty across the Duddon estuary to the Lake District fells. We sat on the beach watching the tide go out and got sunburnt. We watched the tide come in with all the birds on the shore, the sunset over Black Combe as the nearly Strawberry Moon rose over Barrow, stunning. The site and the owners are pretty special too. I think we could be regular.

Wir haben hier 2 Nächte verbracht und uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Betreiber sind nett und kommen mit dem Auto zum Platz, wenn man anruft. Unkompliziert. Angenehm. Ruhige Lage. Der Strand um die Ecke ist riesig und interessant. Mein Hund hat es auch genossen! My dog and I enjoyed it!

rang up last minute for a spot and we was welcomed like king and Queens, absolutely lovely people to deal with and very clean facilities, portable loo like no other, proper jazzed up. cheap price for 2 adults 2 kids and 2 dogs £17.50

Great view of the estuary. basic facilities include fresh water tap, waste water and black water disposal. Toilet hut on site. We pre-booked by phone. Louise met us upon arrival and was very informative. £17.50 per night, no EHU. site is newish and perhaps still under development. Worth another visit in the future most certainly.

Good place to stay for a stopover while heading into the Lake District.. Great views and walks along the estuary.. large area to park so it can take larger motorhomes…Basic facilities but this is reflected in the great price…Friendly helpful owner.

Love this place, simple and efficient, with hugh pitches and fantastic views, it very quiet, overlooking the estuary. Louise, the owner, is lovely and cares that you are all sorted and came to introduce herself . Highly recommended, will be back.
