Stayed a few nights ago, arrived 2000 left 0800, a handful of cars passed during my stay. 5G, TV signal, silent at night. The local sheep are very confident!
Parking de taille moyenne à côté d'une route très calme. espace pour 4 véhicules. J'ai passé la nuit et aucune voiture ne passait entre 22 heures et 7 heures du matin. pas d'installations mais la réception 4G et téléphonique était bonne. terrain presque plat mais pas tout à fait.
Medium sized parking area next to a super quiet road. space for 4 vehicles. I stayed the night and there were zero cars passing between 10pm and 7am. no facilities but 4g and phone reception was good. almost level ground but not quite.
Mittelgroßer Parkplatz neben einer super ruhigen Straße. Platz für 4 Fahrzeuge. Ich blieb über Nacht und zwischen 22 Uhr und 7 Uhr fuhren keine Autos vorbei. Keine Einrichtungen, aber 4G und Telefonempfang war gut. fast ebener Boden, aber nicht ganz.

newtothis0104/08/2025we stopped here friday night. afew cars passed up until around 8pm. very quiet through the night. again afew cars from around 8/8.30 the next morning. farmer passed on his quad and waved. we had a lovely 7mile walk into Kirkby Stephen, along the old railway line then back through the fields. lovely quiet place. we will be back

Really nice. Great views, really dramatic. Pretty level and little chance of getting stuck. No traffic at night. I even got what passes for a cheery wave from a farmer. Be slightly wary of Shakeholes in this area which are nowhere near as much fun as they sound.

quiet spot just off the road. the road had few cars passing by. it was fairly flat and we were sheltered from the wind, it was a little muddy.
