Nice, peaceful spot, off a relatively quiet road. We've used it a few times after seeing a film in Plymouth and before going on for a day on Dartmoor. Unfortunately it's no longer free and although you can park for 24hrs, the all-day ticket runs from midnight to midnight, which is a bit inconvenient.
Just came here for what I hoped would be a couple of relaxing days/nights but unfortunately it’s temporarily closed. Looks like a bit of maintenance work so hopefully it’s not closed for long.
Lovely spot, a quiet road in a quiet forest, we were the only vehicle there overnight. Isn't free anymore! £6 for a van all night. We waited until midnight to pay for a ticket as the all-day ticket refreshes at midnight.

This site is run by the Forestry Comission. At the time of my visit on 14.8.25 it was still free but there is signage announcing that charges will soon be introduced, although it did not say when. Campervans and motorhomes will be subject to a fee of £6.00 per daý. Cann woods are popular with dog walkers, hikers and cy lists, so evpect visitors early in the morning. No facilitiesl.

absolutely stunning place to park for the night, extremely quiet, plenty of room. nice woodlands to walk around. parked here for 1 night (lwb van) and would absolutely sleep here again
Chouette endroit dans la forêt pour dormir, pique-niquer et se balader. Très calme.
Très belle zone pour la nuit. Très calme, plate et vaste. Les locaux sont nombreux dès 6h à y stationner pour promener les chiens ou faire des randos.
Lovely spot. Parked in my 3m tall 6m long Peugeot Boxer, no problems whatsoever. Very quiet - had one large exhaust, small *cough* at about 10pm for about 30 mins, probs brought his boyfriend up for a bit of show and tell… and then nothing until about 6am when the dog walkers started arriving. Plenty of space.

Great quiet wooded area!
Fijne plek. Stonden er ‘s avonds met meerdere campertjes, maar het was er wel rustig. Mooie grote plekken, waar wij met onze 7,5m ook goed konden staan. Aan de rand van een bos waar prachtige wandelroutes doorheen lopen. Ook onze hond vond het super leuk.

Brilliant place to stay, right next to woodlands. Dog walkers only such friendly people. Level parking loads of space. No restrictions, we are in a 7m motor home. Free to park.
Excellent stop. We stopped overnight midweek no problems. Quiet at night. Popular with dog walkers in the morning. Beautiful woodland walks tracks also popular with off road cyclists. We walked for 2 hours down to the river, really nice, but you can get lost as tracks cross over.
busy from early morning with dog walkers, bike and horse riders but plenty of space for all, just be sure to park with consideration of others. quiet through the night and plenty of woodland walks/mountain bike tracks around. good few flat spots but a lot of large potholes to navigate through the car park track itself.
Thursday night. Arrived just after dark… 6pm. Just one other MH here… had the pick of the park up ! So many ‘private’ flat spaces. A wonderful spot to relax and walk off a big breakfast. Didn’t feel compelled to move as the place was more than large enough for everyone! These spots are becoming a rarity, let’s all look after them and don’t leave a trace..
Grosser Parkplatz mit vielen Buchten die Privatsphäre bringen. Es sind viele Spaziergänger, Radfahrer und Hundebesitzer von früh bis später unterwegs, aber uns hat das nicht gestört. Wir standen ganz am Ende hinter den Bäumen.

Spot qui fait le job à défaut d'autre chose. Parking très fréquenté dès 6h du matin et jusque tard par les promeneurs de chiens. Aucune intimité. Mais calme durant la nuit.
viele Menschen gehen hier mit den Hunden spazieren. wir konnten ganz am Ende des Parkplatzes unbeobachtet ohne Schwierigkeiten übernachten.
Arrivé de nuit après le spectacle de feux d’artifice et je confirme la route n’est pas très large. Nous avons un camping-car capucine. J’ai pris le premier emplacement et j’ai pu manœuvrer sur le parking sans problème.
Fantastic spot. For a full timer this was great, stayed two nights no issues. Walkers smiled but didn't really notice me. A few other camper stayed here ans there. Large parking. Suitable for motorhomes also. Ims a little mwb ducato so fit perfectly. Free can see a little low in parts.
Parked here for the night as stop over on way to catch the ferry, lovely spot, had a very nice walk round the woods this afternoon and we never saw 1 other person. Few dog walkers later in the day but a very nice quiet spot. No parking restrictions for any vehicle. Quite a narrow road to get here, prob not suitable for larger vehicles we are in a campervan

Hele grote parkeerplaats waar geen verbodsborden staan. Ruimte genoeg waardoor je niemand tot last bent. Wij hadden een hele rustige stille nacht. Het bos is prachtig voor wandelingen!
