Joli parking bien situé à 500m du départ des Fairy Pools. Peu de connexion mais le paysage compense. Hors saison, nous étions 6.

Perfekter Parkplatz, um zu den Fairy Pools zu wandern. Es gibt einen Trampelpfad neben der Straße, der wie beschrieben ca. 10 Minuten Berg runter verläuft. Die Nacht über standen wir mit 8-9 weiteren Fahrzeugen dort, also es war komplett voll - sehr beliebt. Passt auch auf die Bäume auf, einige sind entwurzelt und bei starkem Sturm würde ich den Platz nicht empfehlen.

Super nuit. Nous étions très nombreux (11 exactement dont 4 campings-car). Pas de bruit. Hormis une personne qui s’est permise de vider ses eaux grives , et certaines qui prennent la nature pour des wc, le coin est vraiment chouette. Merci d’en prendre soin

parking vraiment bien isolé et à deux pas des Fairy Pools ( vous évitant même de payer le parking de celles-ci ) mais pas du tout de réseau car c'est une zone très isolée.

Parked here during the late afternoon. Space is level and easy to park in. During the evening it got completely filled up with campers so would recommend you don't arrive too late. Walk to the fairy pools from there 10-15 minutes - longer on the return as it is uphill and can be muddy

Wir hatten hier eine wunderbar ruhige Nacht und es gab genügend Platz für weitere Fahrzeuge. Von hier aus kann man prima entlang der Straße zu den nahen Fairy Pools bergab laufen.

An sich ein schöner Parkplatz, leider komplett überfüllt von Wohnmobilen!

Stellplatz war prinzipiell sehr gut, nur sehr überfüllt. Der Ranger belehrte uns, dass wir hier mit dem dachzelt nicht stehen dürfen, da es über das Fahrzeug hinaus geht und das es in Schottland anscheinend verboten ist damit Wild zu campen.

secluded and off the road away from the wind. It gets very busy! There was at least twelve when we stayed there. Free with a shortish walk to the Fairy Pools, but be aware it is uphill on the way back!

it gets full quickly but perfect place to avoid spending 8£ and it’s maybe like a 10minute more walk. we didn’t sleep there though.

Only parked here during the day, highly recommend parking here for free and walking to the fairy pools (10 min walk down, 15 min walk back up), there is a small grassy shoulder on the side of the road to walk to the pools. This place was quite full when we arrived at 9am, there were only 2-3 spots available but seems to get emptier as day goes by and busy again for the evening.

Absolutely rammed full on a weekday in September and no signal for me at all so not the best.

Great big spot in the forest, we were protected from the wind ! A few camping cars with us, but i believe at least 10 would fit ! No facilities and free :)

perfetto, bellissimo panorama proprio fuori la stradina. tranquillo e silenzioso, spazioso e vicino alle Fairy pools.

Als wir kamen (ca. 11 Uhr) war noch einiges frei. Zum Abend hin ist es dann sehr voll geworden. Wir hatten eine ruhige Nacht. Durch die Bäume ist es hier recht windgeschützt.

perfect place to spend a night. shielded by trees it feels safe here, but there are a lot of midges. quite a challenge to get there with large vehicles on a single track road (as commonly on Skye). it's a short walk along the road to get to the fairy pools (parking lot there is really crowded).

Sehr überfüllt, man muss Glück haben einen Parkplatz zu bekommen. Viele Camper und wenn man zu früh da ist noch viele Wanderer. Ansonsten eine gute Stelle zum übernachten.

Nuit très calme. A quelques centaines de miles des Fairy Pools, parking pratique pour éviter le parking payant. Retiré du bord de la route. Les campings car et les vans sont les uns sur les autres. Mais endroit très reposant. A pied, nous étions à 15/20 min des Fairy Pools.

Wie konnten mit unserem großen WoMo hier super parken. Der Weg zu Fairy Pools ist kurz und dadurch echt top!

Pas de problème pour nous, mais nous pouvions compter le nombre de personnes qui partaient dans les bois faire la petite affaire. Si tu n'es pas autonome, va au camping, c'est rappelé par des affiches sur les parkings. Respectez-vous et respectez les autres. Nous avons la chance d'avoir un parking gratuit proche d'une activité. Il faut que certains gâche tout en se comportant ainsi.

Emplacement gratuit à seulement 500m du début des Fairy pools. Nous y sommes restés pour une nuit. L'endroit est calme par contre infesté de MIDGE! Ne laissez rien ouvert ! Ces petits insectes traversent les mousquetaires du Van et la nuit vous vous faites dévorer !!!

Leider macht das Benehmen Anderer den Platz kaputt. Im Umfeld viel Kot, es wird auf dem Parkplatz Feuer gemacht, obwohl es ausdrücklich verboten ist. Dadurch, dass viel Platz ist, ist es auch entsprechend laut. Einige bauen die komplette Ausrüstung vor dem Camper auf, blockieren damit Parkplätze und verhalten sich draußen sehr laut. Es waren auch einige Familien dort mit sehr lauten Kindern.

Stayed here for the night but dont think I would again, but that's more due to the people than the spot itself. The spot is fine though very unlevelled so sleeping was uncomfortable. Lots of youngsters who blasted music until the late wee hours. ++ you can walk to the fairy pools from there in twenty something minutes.

Keine Einrichtungen, ruhig in der Nacht. Geschützter Parkplatz für eine einfache Übernachtung. Morgens ist die nahegelegene Steasse befahren.

top Spot, schön ruhig, Mittagsschlaf gemacht, alles so wie man es sich wünscht.

Grosser ebener Schlafplatz, den wir uns mit 12 anderen Fahrzeugen geteilt haben. Die Strasse ist eher viel Befahren. Wer morgens los geht sollte sich das Frühstück im Café Cùil im nächsten Dorf nicht entgehen lassen.

Very nice spot for overnight in forest clearing. Sheltered from the wind, which is not a given on Skye. There were about 6 other vans here with us in early June. Plenty of sheep poo. Some midges as can be expected next to the forest, but the weather wasn't good enough to sit outside anyway.

Nice spot close to The Fairy Pools. Some campers with chairs and tables out, but not too bad when we came. Space for about 20 campers of we all park nicely.

Toller Parkplatz, kostet nichts, bei uns standen ca. 10 Camper, aber wäre noch locker Platz für einige mehr gewesen. war auch OK von der Sauberkeit. Bitte keine Toilettengänge im Wald machen!

Super um hier eine Nacht zu stehen. Leider übertreiben es gerade einige mit ihren Leihmobilen, bauen Markise, Stühle und Grill auf und nehmen anderen die Chance auf einen Übernachtungsplatz. Auf den Hinweis, dass das nicht gerade in Ordnung ist wird nur gelacht. In den Wald sollte man auch nicht gehen. Das sieht eher nach Toilette aus

An sich ein guter Platz aber: 1, warum parken alle so rücksichtslos? Wie schon gesagt, es passen eigentlich 10 Camper hin. 2, seit wann packen wir auf öffentlichen Parkplätzen die Campingtische aus und sonnen uns auf dem Parkplatz? 3, Exkremente gehören (wenn überhaupt) in einen Beutel, nicht in den Wald neben den Parkplatz, das ist ekelhaft. 4, Midges sind hier vergleichsweise zahlreich.

Wenn alle ordentlich parken würden, dann passen hier auch 10 Wohnmobile hin. Hier kann man gut für eine Nacht stehen und kostenlos parken. Allerdings hütet euch den Weg durch den Wald zu nehmen. Viele nutzen ihn als Toilette. Nutzt doch bitte das Klo im Camper oder nehmt eine Tüte mit. Das ist Privatbesitz. Das ist eine Frage der Zeit bis der Platz deshalb geschlossen wird.

Stayed here for 1 night, on our way the the fairy pools, it's about 10 minutes walk further along the road to the official carpark. Great spot, very quiet, no toilets and no mobile signal just the sound of the birds and nature. Beautiful surroundings.

Great overnight before going to visit the Fairy Pools next day. I’d say comfortably you could have 8/10 campers (Transporter size). It is even walking distance to the pools if you want to avoid the cost of parking in a car park 2 minutes down the road. I would imagine it will be VERY busy during high season.

No problems, quite flat gravel carpark surrounded by trees. No noise, middle of nowhere so the road is deserted. I was one of 3 vans there and it was good.

Bon stationnement pour aller aux Fairy Pools en hiver: évite d'emprunter la grande descente verglacée avec votre véhicule. Ce jour, 6/01/2025, des véhicules sont descendus mais ont extrêmement galéré à remonter! Certes, on s'est rallongé la balade à pieds mais nous étions garé en sécurité...

À l’abris du vent ce soir au milieu des sapins avec les moutons avant d’aller voir les cascades demain matin .

Use the GPS Coordinates to get here! Single track lane for miles and many potholes so use pullout lanes when can and avoid driving at dark. Plenty of space for vans, good 4G signal 2 bars, quiet and level parking. Muddy-gravely area. Only 6 min to fairy pools. No toilets, other services. Great spot!

Très bien, l'endroit est extrêmement calme, entrée par un petit passgate pour arriver sur un parking à deux niveaux. Peut facilement accueillir 4 5 fourgons 1 camping car et 2 3 vans. Attention à ce jour (25 octobre 2024) l'utilisation de l'itinéraire via park4night vous emmènera à glenbrittle 6kms plus loin. UTILISER LES COORDONNÉES GPS et non la fonctionnalité "itinéraire".

Nice quiet spot to spend the night, rough roads with lots of potholes along the way, pulled up and another car in the lot had 2 flats. There was a lot of trash in the forest surrounding the car park, walked about and filled a whole shopping bag with other peoples rubbish - please take your trash with you!

Parking basique pour l’accueil de van, 15 au maximum je pense, attention à ne pas être trop, avec un fiât ducato, ça passe. Par beau temps ça doit être sympa mais quand nous y sont allés, énormément de pluie, des nids de poules énormes ou ne voit pas le fond, un truc à s’arracher un pneu, une route très étroite et défoncé et beaucoup de boue pour patiner un peu

Toller Parkplatz in der Nähe der Fairy Pools! Parken nur möglich, wenn man nicht zu lang ist. wir mussten unseren Hänger abhängen und daneben stellen, da wie 9 m mit T4 Bus und Gespann zusammen haben. Ruhig und abgeschieden. Nur die Straße dorthin ist grausam. Viele Schlaglöcher, Abbruchkanten an den Seiten und das sogar auf den Ausweichspuren, da es sich um eine Single Lane handelt.

Grand parking, très pratique et gratuit pour découvrir les fairy pools et y passer la nuit, 15 minutes à pied seulement du parking payant. Pas de poubelle, ni de toilette, quelques déchets, ne les oubliez pas.. ;) Nuit au calme entre les arbres sans aucun passage la nuit ! Les autres campeurs étaient très respectueux.

Didn't sleep here, but went to the fairy pools from here as we didn't want to pay that much for parking. It adds about 15 minutes each way to the walk.

Two rows of parking for up to 14 campers (at a squeeze). 10 minutes walk downhill to start of Fairy Pools (15 back as uphill). As mentioned already, lots of toilet paper in the otherwise lovely woods surrounding the carpark. We are on Vodafone & had no cellphone service there.

This is in a forestry carpark and is not meant for overnight parking. Loads of midgies and unfortunately motor home waste. Smelt bad so we moved on to the excellent campsite run by the local estate at the beach at the end of the road. Stunning views, cafe toilets etc.

Lieu au calme pour passer la nuit. À 10min du départ des Fairy Pools. 8-9 vans présents avec nous ce soir-là, mais la météo fait que c’est calme ! Ne pas s’aventurer dans les bois pour les raisons déjà mentionnées avant.

Lieu très agréable pour une nuit et vraiment proche des fairy pools. En revanche, la route pour y accéder est vraiment en mauvais état, il faut faire attention pour les gros véhicules. Il y avait également beaucoup de monde, les places pour passer la nuit sont rapidement pleins. Il faut également veiller à ne pas partir trop tard pour laisser la place aux voitures.

Bon petit parking juste avant les Fairy Pools (une petite dizaine de minutes à pied) qui permet d’éviter de payer les 8£ du parking officiel. L’espace est plutôt plat et permet d’accueillir une dizaine de camping car/vans. Entouré d’arbres. Attention cependant la route unique pour y accéder est en très mauvais état, nid de poules et bas côtés boueux en cas de pluie.

Great spot to start the hike to the Fairy Pools. A little further away than the official car park. Spent a quiet night here. Lots of other campervans. It was challenging leaving though, as there were a looot of cars arriving in the morning.

Parfait pour dormir à proximité des Fairy Pools et de la distillerie Talisker. Calme et à l'abri du vent. On était une dizaine de vans, camping car et tentes.

Ja, es ist ein großer, oft voller Platz für <15 Vans/MH. Nachts total ruhig. Ja, morgens/abends viel Verkehr zu dem 400 m weiter unten liegenden offiziellen Parkplatz für die Pools. Dieser kostet 6£, das spart man sich also. Toiletten gibt es an diesem offiziellen PP NUR zu dessen Öffnungszeiten, also bitte früh diese nutzen vorm „Pool Highway“.

Der Ort ist gut, um morgens früh zu den Fairy Pools zu gelangen- das geht bergab zu Fuß. Auf dem Platz selbst wurde es ab 18 Uhr immer voller und die Stimmung gereizter. Der Wald drumherum wird komplett als Toilette missbraucht. Es waren über Nacht bestimmt ca 15 Vans und Womos hier - dicht an dicht.

We stayed the night here to visit the fairy pools below the mighty Cullins. Skye is carnage during the summer months best avoid and do it in before May and after September. It’s bewildering to me, whilst driving around Britain and Europe in our 7.3m motorhome for 4 years (250+ P4N reviews) I’ve never felt the need to go take a poop in the woods. Maybe it’s not motorhomers causing every problem !!!

Theoretically a great spot. You can park for free and just walk to the fairy pools. Lots of space, quiet roads at night. BUT people here are so disrespectful. The whole forest around it is full of toilet paper. Others start fires. People ignore the "leave no trace" completely! For toilets you can just use the ones at the other car park of the fairy pools. Open from 9-5

ja, es ist wirklich schwierig zu den Ferienzeiten zu den Pools zu gelangen. Wir sind mit 8 Meter (inkl. Fahrräder) kurz verzweifelt.... ABER... Man kann von diesen kostenlosen Parkplatz natürlich zu den F'Pools laufen. Chaos gibt es sowieso. Haben kurzerhand entschlossen hier eine Nacht zu bleiben. Wird sich zeigen. Der Weg zu den Pools und zurück... immer schön langsam =) viel Spaß

Horrible spot, just run! Not only too crowded to park but also it was hell to get there because of big summer traffic, most popular site, we did not even see the fairy pools which path looked like a highway :( but the views are magnificent and guess that september or october would be a better season.

Einfacher Parkplatz, aber Abseits der Straße. Man hat trotzdem das Gefühl im Wald zu sein.

Posto meraviglioso al limite della foresta. Essendo lo spazio ampio, una dozzina di posti circa, l'abbiamo trovato affollato da altri camper, ma se ognuno si comporta in maniera educata si sta decisamente bene.

Quiet night for a stopover, ground not totally level. Some fellow campers were not happy that we had a small disposable BBQ that was on a gravel ground and well allowed within this site There is a sign no open fires however this does not include BBQs as this is usually stipulated seperatley on signs within Scotland. Hope this is of help to other folk that would like to BBQ as it is permitted

Bel endroit ! Mais attention, amis voyageurs : ne faites pas de feu dans cette zone naturelle si fragile, comme indiqué sur un panneau. Le non-respect pourrait condamner ce lieu naturel. Nous avons vu des campeurs allumer un barbecue jetable, considérant cela comme n’étant pas du feu (rires) et enfumant au passage toute l’aire. Respectez les règles pour préserver cette chance et cet environnement.

Very crowded/popular spot. The site itself was clean but the woods surrounding were just used as a toilet. The walk to the Fairy Pools isn’t very long but quite strenuous. Toilets at the Fairy Pools carpark (open to 5pm in the summer, 3pm in the winter) were clean and free to use.

Woodland gravel car park. mostly level. it's not that big, but we stayed with 4 other vans, and it didn't get too busy during the day. the paid car park down the steep hill costs £8 for campervans (daytime only) so this is great for free peaceful overnight stay. the fairypools are amazing. no services. be careful of surrounding woods they were constantly in use as a toilet.

Great spot, shaded and its free. A bit busy, cars and MH come and go. We only stayed for a couple of hours but I think you can spend a quiet night here. Its about 10-15 walk down the road to the entrance of fairy pools. There is also a car park right at the entrance, cant tell how much it costs.

Merveilleux endroit, au milieu de la forêt. Juste magnifique. Calme, plat et apaisant. Facile d'accès. Je recommande vivement ! (Pas d'internet par contre mais honnêtement vu l'environnement hors du temps on s'en fiche un peu!) A 1 min. du parking de Fairy pool

Great spot but we warned it’s super busy in there, we got really lucky, especially as we have a 24fter and it’s really suited the smaller motorhomes/vans. The woods are well “used” mind where you step and be prepared to see someone doing their business like we unfortunately did. Not somewhere to take a stroll. The fairy pools are epic - do a cold plunge!

Great location! We parked here the night before and walked down to the fairy pools (5 mins away to start of walk) early morning. There are toilets opposite fairy pools entrance. Lots of great walks, we did the 9 mile circular. Very beautiful spot with lots of campers coming and going but not much noise other than a few vehicles going past at night. We loved this so much we stayed two nights!

Sin servicios pero ubicación excepcional para visitar las fairy pool a solo unos 750m (en cuesta eso si) y gratuito. Cerca de la carretera pero muy tranquilo y rodeado de naturaleza. Ojalá la gente lo cuidase más para que dure mucho así

An absolutely brilliant spot not far from the fairy pools. fairy pools is about a 10/15 mins walk down the road, or you can take the van down to tje official car park but it does cost.. this campsite had space for about 10/12 campers/cars easily. One thing to be aware off.. little to no signal unfortunately but a great spot for camping up for the night. some great views

Schöner Platz im Wald, leider etwas dreckig, aber noch ok. Von dort aus zu den Fairy Pools zu gehen ist möglich, jedoch nicht schön. Mit Kindern oder Hunden ist es etwas gefährlich direkt an der Straße. Platz ist sehr ruhig und hin und wieder hat man auch 3G Empfang.

Beautiful spot but totally abused. It is used as a toilet with excrement, toilet paper and litter. Egg shells, banana, citrus fruits, and excrement, etc are litter and will make the animals sick. This abuse will close these lovely spots to us so Stop it. There are toilets in the next car park or bag it and take it away. Show respect.

Really nice spot! Super quiet and you really feel surrounded by nature! Make sure to arrive early as it has limited space and it was full at 8mp when we stayed there. Very close to the well-known Fairy Pools

One of the best spots I’ve ever stayed in. You have to be self sufficient but so peaceful at night with no one passing through. Absolutely amazing views all around. Swam in the fairy pools in the evening at sunset and then again after a long run towards the mountain in nature. Saw so much wildlife and big groups of deer close by. The mountain route sounded to technical so stuck to the paths.

Bon plan pour ne pas payer le parking payant. Ça rajoute 2x 10 minutes (du dénivelé au retour). Je n'ai pas dormi ici mais il y'a de la place et c'est calme. Mais ça manque de lumière et de soleil pour l'automne / hiver.

Very nice park, protected from the wind and it's flat, not steeped. Very quiet night and has room. About 25min walk to the fairy pools.

Brilliant stay over for the fairy pools! I’d say there is enough room for 8/9 campers small motor homes (if people are considerate) stayed overnight 02/10/23 it’s about 10 minutes walk to the pools, hill back is challenging! Ha ha. We had a perfect nights sleep. Shame no honesty box or QR to donate! Great stopover. Please don’t forget to review/add places you stay - helping each other :)

Toller Waldparkplatz für eine Nacht. Platz für 10-12 Camper, schätze ich. Guter Handyempfang, ruhig, einigermaßen eben, leicht zu erreich. Man kann von hier die Fairy Pools erwandern. Ich empfehle jedoch tagsüber auf den kostenpflichtigen Parkplatz zu gehen und mit den Parkgebühren zum Erhalt der Natur und Wanderwege beizutragen.

Parking plat et à l'abri du vent.

Wenn man die Preise des kostenpflichtigen Parkplatzes 500 Meter weiter sieht (Womo 8 Pfund, Minibus 15 Pfund) läuft man gerne die paar Meter die Straße runter und wieder rauf. Wir haben nicht übernachtet, da es noch zu früh war. Ist aber möglich und bestimmt auch schön. Ruhig am Wald gelegen.

KOSTENLOS ! für eine Wanderung zu den Wasserfällen und eine Übernachtung perfekt. Bei der sehr stürmischen Nacht gab es zwar keine Mücken, aber es hat alle Camper kräftig durchgeschüttelt (auch andernorts). Platz ist der Auslastung nach zu urteilen, sehr b eliebt. Schöner Platz, bei Feuchtigkeit sind die Randparkpätze nicht ungefährlich, wir hatten trotz Feuchtigkeit keine Midgets. Empfehlung.

Stayed for one night before visiting fairy pools. Busy place we arrived around 20:00 and only two spaces left. Space for around 10 vehicles. No phone reception and very bad for midgies. Watch where you stand my partner stood in mess in the parking bays very disappointing. Clean up after your dogs or yourself !

Arrived 07:30 and took the last spot. Quite some gerbage all around. Midges-galore. We only went there to visit Glenbrittle forest and Fairy Pools, but was overwelmed with the bad impression. Not recommendable.

Midgie Central!! Fine to park for the day and visit the fairy pools. Can confirm previous comment that there is sadly human waste amongst the trees!!

It gets quite busy here and unfortunately lots of people use the woods to go to the toilet without cleaning up properly
