Parking de Kilmore Standing Stones, au dessus du village de Dervaig. Aucune indication interdisant les campings car ou le parking de nuit. Assez de place pour 5/6 camping cars. Vue incroyable. Attention, nous y avons passé une nuit d’Octobre, nous étions très exposés au vent. Nous avons par contre pu admirer un aigle à queue blanche au réveil, à une dizaine de mètres de nous.
Kilmore Standing Stones car park, above the village of Dervaig. No indication prohibiting motorhomes or overnight parking. Enough space for 5/6 motorhomes. Incredible view. Be careful, we spent a night there in October, we were very exposed to the wind. On the other hand, we were able to admire a white-tailed eagle when we woke up, about ten meters from us.
Kilmore Standing Stones Parkplatz, oberhalb des Dorfes Dervaig. Kein Hinweis darauf, Wohnmobile oder das Parken über Nacht zu verbieten. Genügend Platz für 5/6 Wohnmobile. Unglaubliche Aussicht. Achtung, wir haben dort im Oktober eine Nacht verbracht, wir waren dem Wind sehr ausgesetzt. Andererseits konnten wir beim Aufwachen etwa zehn Meter von uns entfernt einen Seeadler bewundern.

A fabulous place for overnight. The entrance is potholed although with caution is fine. This is private land so the owner will arrive at 8pm for a £10 donation, which is reasonable. He is very happy for us to stay. He is a lovely chap; if you greet him with courtesy, gratitude and respect, you will get the same behaviour back. We had a lovely chat about the area. The Stones are 5 min walk.

Wouldn’t stay here. I parked up to have a bite to eat in the back of my camper and view the standing stones. An old man I’m assuming is the guy who people have said is aggressive turned up at 8pm. He started banging on my door, and I didn’t answer (I am a lone female) and he then preceded to try the doors to see if they were open. Luckily I locked them! Left shortly after he did. Urgh.
Great spot & views. Little to no midges. 4 nights spent here on our 7 night holiday in mull! Close to Tobermory for a morning shower. Quiet & strong phone/internet signal. (02 full bars & 5G) landowner is lovely - will come past just after 8pm or just after 8am to collect money. Honesty box has been previously abused so when checking cattle, he’ll pop over for collection. 10/10 guy. Loves a chat!
Très bel emplacement . Quelqu'un se présentant comme le propriétaire est venu à 20h nous informer que c'était une propriété privée ,il nous a dit que nous pouvions rester contre un don en nous laissant apprécier le montant. Un échange sympathique s'en est suivi .Effectivement l'absence d'information et la présence d'un banc peut poser question sur le fait que le terrain soit privé.
Please don't pay this man for parking at the side of the road, he's taking advantage of you. He's aggressive if confronted and has nothing but contempt for campervans.
Nous avons été délogés par une personne qui s’est présenté comme le propriétaire et nous a demandé de partir ou lui verser 10£ il était agressif et avons préféré partir
Avoid at any cost, no signs to say no overnight, farmer knocked on our door at 8.00 pm said it was his land, I said if we had known, we know we have to have owners permission to stay, no signs about private property no signs to say no overnight, however if we were prepared to pay a donation to his charity interests, the school etc we could stay, and at that late stage most just pay. Bad attitude
Lovely spot with amazing views over Dervaig and Coll and Tiree. However a very unwelcoming man called at 8pm and said he owned the land and if we wanted to stay we had to pay and the money would be donated to a local school, which I very much doubt. There are no signs to say it is private land and that overnight parking is not allowed. We packed up and moved on.
I stayed the night knowing that there was no sign which prohibited overnight stays or anything else. At 20.30pm the "landowner" came and knocked on my van. He wanted £10 and when I asked him why he didn't put up a donations box he answered that people but rubbish in it and that's why he took it away. Not sure if this whole story's true but I was just too tired to drive away as it's difficult to find a spot.
Parked up in the afternoon. no sign of no overnight parking signs or honesty boxes. So I decided to stay overnight. Knock on the door of my MH at 8pm. The landowner said it was private land but for a £10 donation I could stay overnight. He said the money was for local charity we had a lengthy conversation about wildlife and nature. I paid and he went on his way. A new bonesfy box required.
Brilliant views, quiet spot, can imagine it being a bit entertaining in bad weather. The landowner comes after 9pm to collect a ‘donation’ £10, no signs anywhere, he said it goes to local charity, seems genuine, but he didn’t want me to put details on any site, think it’s unfair to be caught out not knowing.
Ein sehr schöner Platz, wo man tagsüber stehen kann. Abends um 21:30 Uhr kommt ein Mann und sagt es ist sein Land, für 10 Pfund können wir übernachten. Das Haben wir nicht bezahlt wir sind ein Stück weiter gefahren, wo wir eine ruhige Nacht hatten. Solche Vorgehensweise sollte man nicht unterstützen, da auch nirgends ein Hinweis Schild steht.
Prachtige plek, geen voorzieningen. Later op de avond kregen we bezoek vd landeigenaar. Overnachten was geen probleem, maar vroege wel een bijdrage van £10 (welke hij naar eigen zeggen doneerde naar de community hier).
Mooie plek mooi uitzicht! Zo goed als vlak! Geen voorzieningen. Tussen de schapen.
