Looked a nice stop over, but our van, which is just under 2.1 m, would not fit under the 2.1 height bar.
Sur Church Street, après le pont Avon, à gauche :
1. Accès étroit par Recreation Road à un grand parking pour le stationnement de nuit.
2. Hauteur désormais limitée à 2,4 m.
3. Aire de jeux avec pelouse.
4. Ruisseau où vous pouvez vous baigner sur une petite plage.
On Church Street past Avon Bridge on left:
1. Recreation Road narrow access to a large carpark for overnight parking.
2. Now has limited height 2.4
3. Playground area with full grass area
4. Stream where you can swim on a small beach.

Amplio aparcamiento gratuito sin prohibición de aparcamiento nocturno con vistas a una zona de juegos infantiles llena de césped. Justo detrás de los árboles se puede llegar a un arroyo donde se puede nadar en una pequeña playa. El acceso al aparcamiento está limitado a coches y autocaravanas pequeñas/medianas, el camino para acceder al aparcamiento es un poco estrecho. El aparcamiento está al final de Recreation Road, junto a Church St.

Flower-summer13/08/2025Super endroit, avec des locaux souriants et sympas, on se sent en sécurité, bien accueillis ce qui est assez rare en Angleterre comme en Ecosse ! Il y a de la place, des jeux pour enfants, un endroit de baignade par le sentier derrière les jeux mais effectivement une barre à 2.10 donc uniquement pour les petits vans

Für unseren Mercedes Vito mit Hubdach war die Höhenbeschränkung 2,1 m kein Problem . Ruhige Nacht . Konnten unter Bäumen parken . Mit Hunden konnte in der Nähe auch gebadet werden .

Height barrier says 2.1m but is definitely lower, probably more like 1.9m. It's on chains but we couldn't lift it high enough to get the van through. Looks like a lovely place but had to turn around.

Bar is actually 2 meters high, it’s on chains so you can go through if higher but may damage roof vents etc. even in a vw transporter my roof hit it

lovely flat car park with 2.1m height barrier. some noise from car or two of young people out having a laugh (left at 1am) but they didn't come near to our van or bother us at all. park used by dog walkers in the early morning. Nearby wetherspoons opens at 8 for breakfast.

Bon spot même si pas d'eau ni toilettes. Il y a de la place surtout lorsque les sportifs et promeneurs sont partis. Endroit très calme.

Lovely quiet car park at the recreation ground. There was a youth football match on when I arrived which was fun to watch. Car park filled up for that but emptied when the game was over.

My partner and I had a very quiet night here. A few dog walkers in the evening before 7pm, after that we were the only van/car until dog walkers again at about 8am. There’s bins, a nice clean playground, and a creek to swim in up over the little rise. 2.1m height barrier, so great for transporters/smaller vans. Please keep the area clean! Such a great spot to be respected.

Hi all. Tried this parking spot earlier this evening (Apr 26th 2024) Seems the local parish / council have put a 2.1m height restriction bar at the entrance to the car park. Only just managed to turn around in the lane in a MWB hightop.

Echt een top plaats! Heel rustig, de locals die in de ochtend toekomen zijn super vriendelijk. Dichtbij Stonehedge en ideal om met je hond te overnachten. Er zijn vuilnisbakken aanwezig voor klein afval maar je kunt geen grote hoeveelheden droppen. Er stond nog 1 andere camper.
Hipster8820/08/2023Brilliant indeed, great to be with children. Had a very quiet night. Fetched food at the Turkish takeaway, did shopping at Aldi, went to church, all around the corner. Please let's all stay low profile to preserve this place for us park4nighters:) Briljant, topplek met kinderen, we hadden een rustige nacht. Gegeten bij de Turk, boodschappen gedaan bij Aldi, naar de kerk geweest, alles om de hoek

Vam arribar de ruta cap a les 21h per fer nit Cap ensurt tot i les indicacions de perill per possibles robos. Curiosament tot i ser l'agost vam ser els únics que vam pernoctar. Totalment recomanable per fer nit

trotz der Schilder mit der Warnung vor Diebstählen und der Polizeifahrten haben wir uns hier sicher gefühlt. Unsere Kinder haben toll auf dem Spielplatz gespielt und wir konnten etwas arbeiten. Abends kamen ein paar Jugendliche, die relativ ruhig waren und gegen 22 Uhr von ihren Eltern abgeholt wurden.

sehr schöner, ruhiger Platz. Die Zufahrt ist etwas eng, aber kein Problem. Es stehen Schilder da, dass man Vorsichtig sein muss, weil hier Autodiebe unterwegs sind und das hat es etwas gruselig gemacht. außer uns war noch ein weiteres Wohnmobil da und das hat mich ein bisschen beruhigt. Am Ende war es eine sehr ruhige, erholsame Nacht und die Kinder fanden den Spielplatz natürlich toll!

Impeccable et gratuit. Nous n'avons pas eu la visite de la police. Les points d'eau étaient fermés. A l'origine, ils sont prévus pour l'équipe de football locale.
Alain67676716/06/2023Hier gestaan voor bezoek aan Stonehenge en overnachting. Stonehenge ligt op wandelafstand en is gratis te bezichtigen. Je loopt er gewoon langs. Je kan uiteraard ook kiezen voor het geleid bezoek. Dan moet je iets verder en betaal je 30€ per persoon . Overnachting was zeer rustig. ‘S nachts patrouilles van politie wat het veiligheidsgevoel vergroot.

Next to a playground but had a very quiet overnight stay. Within walking distance of a nice pub, cafe and supermarket. There are signs erected referring to car break ins but it felt very safe.

Brilliant!!! Quiet spot next to sports field and a park. Families around in the morning. Birds chirping. Supermarket close by. Recommend for all self contained motorhomes.

Great place for a stopover for the night. Next to a playground and football field. There were a few youngsters playing music in their cars in the evening but they left before 10pm.

Très bien pour une nuit reposante après où avant Stonehenge c’est tout près. Petit bain rafraîchissant. Nuit très calme. La police est passée 2 fois et nous a souhaité bonne nuit.
