Superb site run by David and son Jack who do an awesome job of providing and maintaining a beautiful little spot. The little wee she’s is brilliant and might not be what you expect to see when you open the door. The pitches on hard standing are great and pretty much flat and level with a great view over the lake. The pub is about 15 mins along the rod to the village. Superb definitely recommended.

Traumhafter Platz inmitten einer liebevoll angelegten Grünanlage mit Bänken, Schaukel etc. Saubere kleine Toilette und gut zugängliche Ver- und Entsorgung. Nachts komplett ruhig, morgens nur die Kühe zu hören. Der Besitzer fährt abends rum und sammelt das Geld bei einem netten Gespräch ein. Rundum gelungen und absolut empfehlenswert!

Great stop over, £15 for the night. Level pitch but some needed ramps. Would have paid £40 if there was electric hook up and showers. walked to the pub and had a great meal for a good price. Will definitely stay again.

Absolutely top marks, the place is just amazing, having hard standing pitches and grass. we opted for grass as it gave the better view but a little uneven ground but soon sorted with our chocks. Ideal for a stop over if doing the N250 or even for a few nights

Schöner Stellplatz. Frischwasser, Grau- und Schwarzwasser kann auch entsorgt werden. Email ging sehr schnell zur Anmeldung. Es wird ein Code mit Bestätigung geschickt für das Schloss an der Schranke. Bezahlung ist dann vor Ort direkt an den Gastgeber. Einen Briefkasten zum Einschmeißen, habe ich nicht entdeckt.

Beautiful place! Lots of space. We parked on a grass pitch near the ponds. Lots of wildlife, I’ve never seen so many bats! Friendly owners. Highly recommended.

This site is perfect. Beautifully laid out by the lakes, with proper spacing between vans, he doesn't just cram everyone in. The toilet is the nicest public loo I've ever used. The owner is super-friendly and is doing a great job here. We'll definitely be back.

Ein Traumhaftes Fleckchen im Grünen. Kurzer Anruf zur Reservierung und dann kamm auch schon eine SMS mit den wichtigsten Informationen zurück. Wir hatte einen traumhaften Platz auf einem kleinen Hügel direkt am Teich mit Blick auf die Schwanenfamilie. Super netter Betreiber.

We stayed here for one night on 5th June. Great find, lovely place with Cows, Sheep and Chickens. and a couple of lovely lakes. I think you may even be able to fish on them but didn't get a chance to check - next time hopefully. Very friendly owners, and we had a very quiet night - the only disappointing bit was that all of the fresh free range eggs had been taken by the other visitor :(

Stopped here for one night, it was very peaceful surrounded by cows the lake was so pretty and you can't moan at the price. Plus fresh eggs would definitely stay again

Stopped here in our van and absolutely loved it. Lush, peaceful, and teeming with wildlife and friendly farm animals. A real gem by the lake. Huge credit to the owners for creating and maintaining such a beautiful spot. We’ll definitely be back!

wow what a little gem, he keeps it looking nice, very friendly and helpful. Great for anyone that enjoys fishing. At £10 you can't grumble, they have facilities to empty toilet and grey waste and fresh water. Peaceful and definitely be using this site when we travel around Northumberland.

Quel endroit magnifique... Paisible , beau, calme avec eau, vidange eaux grises et noire, que dire des toilettes .. Ouahou !!! Des propriétaires super accueillants et gentils. Une pelouse de golf autour des emplacements en dur, un bel étang, moutons, agneaux et vaches et le tout pour 10£ la nuitée.. Beau final sur le retour d'Ecosse....Et nous aussi venus pour une nuit, sommes restés 3 nuits.

Lovely site, plenty of pitches, prime spots right by the lake are first come first served, but the other spots are great too. Lovely little lakes to wander around, very peaceful. Recommend for a single night stop over or a few nights as a base for exploring.

Lovely private site - very clean & tidy with a pretty dog walk around the lakes. 3 different hardstanding options, all peaceful with views. £10.

Great stopover very quiet and peaceful. No fishing unless you join the private club. 6 spaces at the far end are the best and it’s on a first come basis. Very tidy site which the owner is obviously proud of. We met him when he cam round to collect the very reasonable £10.

a wonderful site beautifully kept and very friendly. short walk into the village where there is a very small shop and a pub. drive over grey waste drop and bins very near to where you park. if you love bird watching you'll like it here. 10/10

Pitched up for a night and ended up staying for 3!! Just lovely and as a female solo traveller I felt very safe Jack n Harry were super easy going and kind

Easy, relaxed and peaceful. A short country lane walk to the local pub (bring a torch!). Superbly clean onsite toilet/sink facility.

An amazing tranquil location. Hosts couldn't be nicer and even helped me out with a lump hammer when I couldn't free up one of my stabilisers. Lovely pub in the village, The Shoulder of Mutton that serves some fantastic home made veggie meals. I had chilli one night, the home made curry another and fish and chips the last night.

Came for 1 night stopped for 3. Fantastic place with its own lakes and swans. Wow. Will be visiting again for sure.

Excellent farm aire 5 minutes from the A1, perfect for a night or two. Very peaceful nights sleep. Highly recommend.

Excellent site, with good fill and empty facilities. The location based around a small lake and lightly wooded banks makes for a very relaxed break. The owners have spent a great deal of time and imagination into creating a haven for birds and humans.

We spent 2 nights here, what an amazing place!!

Turned up around 7pm without booking but rang Andy and code for gate sorted and in! It is a fantastic site and location, simply lovely! It states 4 pitches but that is wrong they have at least 12! Water available, grey waste and chemical waste on site as well. We will deffo use again!

Wonderful site. The friendliest of owners and so peaceful. Stayed 2 nights and would have extended, but we had to get home on the Sunday. I normally want to be out and about seeing the area but could happily have sat outside the van on the site and done nothing. Just watching the life on the lake and in the surrounding fields was relaxing in the extreme. Will be back very soon.

This is a perfect stopover, set in beautiful surroundings with views of the lake and wildlife. We took a lovely short walk around the lake with the dogs. One toilet available which was both lovely and clean inside. The people on site are also super friendly. Absolutely, cannot fault it and for only £10 too! Would highly recommend staying here.

Durch Zufall haben wir diesen Platz entdeckt. Wirklich richtig toll, sehr sauber ruhig an einem kleinen See gelegen. Wir haben durch Zufall und Glück den letzten aber den besten Platz erwischt direkt am Kopf Ende vom See. Nur geeignet für Fahrzeuge, die autark sind.

Such a serene place. Suited us perfectly and they’d even provided the perfect weather;) No, really, we were parked right at the end and had the perfect view out over the lake with the swans and their little ones.. so peaceful. There is only 1 toilet and no shower so definitely aimed at camper vans which is perfect as it makes less upkeep and for a quieter space. Cheap too. Super happy. Thank you.

Sehr empfehlenswert - alles vorhanden, außer Strom. Die Toilette ist sehr süß hergerichtet. Wir durften auch grillen. Gerne wieder.

A peaceful and picturesque motorhome spot close to lovely village shop and pub. Hosts were warm and welcoming, and have clearly put lots of effort into maintaining the site. Few facilities but still very good value for money at £10 a night. We loved seeing the swans and their cygnets on the lake - will definitely stay here again!

Wonderful place to stay. Andy is lovely, very friendly. The site is beautiful, and so quiet. The swans were incubating their eggs when I was there. Lots of other birds as well. There are bird feeders in the trees, benches under the trees. It really is heaven. I had two excellent nights sleep. Thank you, Andy, for a lovely stay.

Nice little stop over. Grassy areas were really boggy cause of all the rain, but the lake and the wildlife was nice to have. Toilets are apparently only accessible to people who pay to fish there just incase anyone was relying on toilet use (syndicate fishing.) Black and grey waste emptying available (drive over for grey water) and there’s plenty of rubbish stations with general waste, recycling and glass bins. Owners really welcoming and lovely scenery. There’s also a tree swing for kids to play on.

what a cracking little place for an overnight stop over. my two young kids loved the rope swing and the little jetty's. The owner (Andy) was a real gentleman and even let my son go for a ride with him in his little tractor. 5 minutes off the A1. We're definitely going back.

Stayed here several times and can't fault it. Beautiful setting overlooking the lake, with excellent facilities and friendly hosts. Fantastic value for money. Well situated for visiting Northumberland and easily accessible from the A1. Will continue to visit for a relaxing weekend break

Great little stop, easy to find and friendly welcome. 2 other vans while we were there, very quiet and peaceful, beautiful sunrise. Only nagging point is that if you park by the lake then the fresh water is quite a walk, so would advise grabbing it on your way down. Would definitely return.

What an amazing little place. We parked right by the lake and could of just sat and watched the birds. All parking is gravel, so no trouble getting off this morning after a night of rain. Fresh water, and emptying both grey and black water available. I think £10 is a bargain. Will definitely be back.

Recently stayed overnight, perfect for us on our travels up and down the A1, just 2.2 miles off the A1. Road to site wide enough. The site & facilities are all clean & tidy. The biggest simple improvement this great site could make is to level its gravel pitches up, really not great nearest the lake, little better nearer the static caravan. It would then get 5 stars. £10 is just an OK price.

What a gem. Quiet and secluded spot with stuning views onto the lakes. Beatiful walk around the lakes with hard standing paths and tended mowed grass, our dog loved the freedom. Perfect peace and quiet but very handy to the A1. Had a chat with the really nice owner who was appreciative of my positive feedback. As big Arnold says “I’ll be back”.

Fantastic stopover. Hosts Andy, Jack and Kate go out of their way to be helpful. Been several times and often stay for a few days. Has facilities all in one place. You can drain grey waste while emptying cassette and filling with fresh water. Gate locked all the time with combination lock access. Used to only take cash but now will accept credit/debit cards. Easy access to A1. Best stopover!!

Wunderschöner, gepflegter und ruhiger Ort an einem kleinen See neben einer Weide von Kühen. Wir haben erst am Nachmittag angerufen, dass wir sehr spät kommen. Den Zugang haben wir per SMS erhalten und bezahlen konnten wir am nächsten morgen. Grauwasser Entsorgung war über Bodeneinlass möglich.

What can I add to what’s already been said? This is a fantastic stopover. Hardstandings (needed given the amount of rain and the waterlogged fields) , an immaculate toilet, drive over grey waste, CDP, and fresh water, in a quiet beautiful setting.

Great motorhome stopover just 5 minutes from the A1. Parking on gravel next to a small lake with friendly swans. Very peaceful and quiet in the countryside. Water and waste disposal also recycling bins. Very friendly owners, Jack and Andy, that make you very welcome.

Brilliant Aire. Very friendly people. Toilets, Elsan, water, pitches in various spots round lake. Only £10 & no prebooking necessary. We will be back. It’s a shame there aren’t more places like this is England.

Really pretty campsite run by a couple who are really friendly and accommodating, we arrived late and they just collect payment in morning. Camp has a lovely lake you can walk around with all the facilities but electricity. Definitely recommend as it’s £10 a night !

Costs are £10 and you have to give it to the guy living in the house. There are more spots than 4 because a bigger space as parking lot. Very scenic and 15 minute walk to village. There is a toilet and water hose.

Ein wunderschöner und sehr idyllischer Ort mit viel liebe zum Detail. Sehr freundliche Besitzer. Wenn man anruft und es ist ein Platz frei, bekommt man einen Code zum reinkommen. Es ist alles vorhanden. Wir konnten durchatmen, entspannen und die wundervolle Landschaft genießen, bis es am nächsten Tag weiter ging. Sehr, sehr klare Empfehlung!

Posto bellissimo immerso nel verde con animali e laghetto. Servizi di carico e scarico acque grigie e wc. No elettricità. Nell'area più interna ospita 4/5 camper ma all'ingresso c'è spazio per altri 5/6 camper. Appena arrivati abbiamo chiamato e ci hanno comunicato il codice per aprire il cancello, poi sono passati per il pagamento, 10 sterline a camper, indipendentemente dal numero di persone.

We stayed here for one night at Easter. A beautiful site, which is so peaceful. A clean toilet open 24 hours a day. Fresh water, grey waste disposal and ELSAN waste disposal all available. For £10 it was an absolute bargain. Definitely recommend!!

The location in great and very peaceful. We were looking for location to stay a night and send a message to owner quite late in the evening. He responded very quickly and there was no problem as we arrived afer 11pm. Check beforehand if there are any free spaces.

One of the best stop overs we've found on our travels round the U.K. and the Continent. Beautiful, peaceful, really well kept and very relaxed. No EHU but water and waste facilities are available. Great value at £10 a night. Note there are at least 12 "pitches" spread over 3 different areas of the site. I wish there were more sites like this in the U.K.!

Stayed here at short notice. it's a great stop over with lakeside parking. The owner gave us the code for the gates but came out in torrential rain and opened them for us.

Great stop off for the night, no hook up but you can empty and fill up. Very quite, lovely spot and a bunch of great friendly guys that own the farm.

Fantastic place. Jack and Andy (Dad) are very helpful and friendly. Lots of space and of course the lakes to walk around and watch the wildlife. Grass and hardstanding. Drive over drain for grey waste. Easy walk into Longhorsley where there is a pub that does food. Also the village shop is open every morning (including Sunday!) It's only a short drive from the A697. We will be back!!

Wir sind heute auf unser Durchreise von England nach Schottland und haben bei Jack halt gemacht. Jack ist ein Jungbauer, der sein Anwesen sehr gepflegt und top angelegt hat. Es gibt alles, was man braucht für eine oder mehr Nächte. Die fünf Sterne sind mehr als verdient. Wer die Möglichkeit hat und nicht hält ist selber schuld ?

Fantastic site, we arrived in two camper vans and were directed to a great secluded spot. Staff were great, very friendly and helpful, can’t wait to return.

What a beautiful peaceful location in the middle of farmland. View over small lakes with resident population of geese, ducks and swans, busy at the moment raising their young. Friendly and helpful owners. Water and disposal services, with new drive over drain completed today. 5 spaces not 4.

We stayed here a few weeks ago, and this is a lovely place to stay overnight or for a few nights. The owners are lovely and friendly. There's a pub 15 minutes walk away which serves lovely food. We will definitely be putting this on our places to stopover list when heading north.

Prachtige plek met hele vriendelijke eigenaren. Lekker rustig en ruim, met een visvijvertje met bankjes rondom zodat je lekker in de zon kan zitten lezen als je dat wil.

Last minute Friday night out in the van, such a perfect spot. Lovely and quiet, beautiful surroundings and plenty of wildlife. Jack was super speedy with replying to messages and was super friendly when we arrived. Would definitely stay again! :)

Stayed 26 March. Jack was very quick to respond to an email query. Lovely spot with ducks, swans, pheasant as neighbours. It's also a fishing centre. Very convenient for both Cragside and Wallington National Trust properties.

Wir sind leider nur zum Entsorgen hierher gefahren, der Besitzer war sehr nett und die Lage ist wirklich schön. Hier würde ich auch gerne für eine Nacht bleiben.

Stopped here on Friday night. Beautiful setting and a shortish walk into Longhorsley.

Fab quiet spot! Clean, plenty of space for our 8ft motorhome. Lovely view of the lake and farm land. Easy to get to. Beautiful sunrise. Andy and his son Jack are very accommodating and friendly. Andy even stopped for a chat and a drink with us.

This has got to be one of the best park ups in the England. Beautiful setting, lovely owners. Water, bins and dumping available. There are plans for a drive over drain, which would be great. Hard standing, some of the pitches may need levellers. Stunning location. Highly recommend.

What a gem of a find. You can expect a warm welcome if you are lucky enough to use this site for a stop over. Just a short hop from the A1 with idyllic views over fishing ponds and rolling hills there are 4 large spaces on hard standing. Ideal for a one night stop over to top up water and empty toilet or to stay and explore the area. We will definitely be revisiting, hopefully in the near future.

Wir sind nur vorbei gekommen, um Frischwasser aufzufüllen und die Chemietoilette zu entsorgen. Das Tor war geschlossen, zwei Nummern stehen für diesen Fall da. Innerhalb von 2 min. war Jack bei uns. Sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir haben 5 Pfund bezahlt. Das was wir vom Platz gesehen haben, war wundervoll und idyllisch. Wenn wir das nächste mal wieder kommen, bleiben wir def. über Nacht.

What a find!!! This site isn't your run of the mill site. It's beautiful; the park up sits by a couple of small fishing ponds among lush grass land. perfecte plek voor een stop-over. rustig en een leuk beekje waar je om heen kunt wandelen. eigenlijk is het beekje bedoeld voor vissers. het is vrij donker ter plaatse, dus bij een onbewolkte hemel kun je heel veel sterren zien.

Lovely place to stay! It has a beautiful pond and we had the place all for ourselves. Facilities are there (fresh water, grey, black). Kind owners. The dogs didn’t like my dog, but we managed to keep them separated quite well!
