Not much good at the moment as most of the carpark is taken over by two huge pleasure boats. Only the row of spaces next to the road is free, and this is quite busy with cars.

Occupé dans la journée mais calme le soir. 20 minutes à pied du centre-ville de Chester. Plusieurs bons pubs accessibles à pied.
Large car park close to river setting.Public toilets close by.Large enclosed playground with small water park/features during summer months. Large grass area. Busy In the day but quite in evenings. 20minute walk intoChester city centre.Several good pubs in walking distance.
Großer Parkplatz in der Nähe des Flusses. Öffentliche Toiletten in der Nähe. Großer eingezäunter Spielplatz mit kleinem Wasserpark/Features während der Sommermonate. Große Rasenfläche. Tagsüber beschäftigt, aber abends ziemlich. 20 Minuten zu Fuß ins Stadtzentrum von Chester. Mehrere gute Pubs sind zu Fuß erreichbar.
Gran aparcamiento cerca del entorno del río. Baños públicos cerca. Gran parque infantil cerrado con un pequeño parque acuático/características durante los meses de verano. Amplia zona de césped. Ocupado durante el día pero tranquilo por las noches. 20 minutos a pie del centro de la ciudad de Chester. Varios buenos pubs a poca distancia.
Ampio parcheggio vicino al fiume. Servizi igienici pubblici nelle vicinanze. Ampio parco giochi recintato con piccolo parco acquatico/caratteristiche durante i mesi estivi. Ampio prato. Occupato di giorno ma abbastanza di sera. 20 minuti a piedi dal centro di Chester. Diversi buoni pub raggiungibili a piedi.
Grote parkeerplaats dicht bij rivier. Openbare toiletten dichtbij. Grote omheinde speeltuin met klein waterpark/voorzieningen tijdens de zomermaanden. Groot grasveld. Overdag druk maar 's avonds rustig. 20 minuten lopen naar het stadscentrum van Chester. Verschillende goede pubs op loopafstand.

bobsabuilder08/09/2025Nice place to stop by the water- I stayed last night sept 25- no hassle etc- dog walkers and kayak peeps from 7 onwards- otherwise lovely spot.gates wasn’t closed last night-great spot to launch kayak etc

perfect spot great for overnight and close to Chester Pizza shop at top of hill was tremendous and pub was good too

Stayed the night 16/4/25, very quiet and peaceful, walked up to the Mount pub for a couple of hours, the van was fine, nobody locked the barrier. There is a 4 hour limit but again nobody bothered us.

Stayed here for one night 17/7. Was fairly busy when I arrived with people visiting the river. I left my van all evening to attend an event and when I got back it was peaceful and the van was fine - slept well & enjoyed the gorgeous view of the river in the morning. Google maps & signage will tell you the road is closed but you can still access this carpark. Good signal.

Great place to park to visit Chester. Right by right. Quiet location. Walked to Chester along the river. Didn't stay overnight but would have happily done if we weren't going elsewhere. One other camper there.
emsstrand14/08/2023Stayed overnight, no problem. Noone came to close the parking. Locals went swimming, but the river smelled of excrements, since there is a sewage problem here after rainfalls. I would not advise swimming here. Some noise from the nearby road. Toilets were closed in the evening. Nice pub nearby, The Mount.

Gorgeous spot, fairly quiet during day (Tuesday in July), some paddleboarders, fishermen. Toilets were open until about 5pm and very clean.

no warden came to close the car park. on the board it said its only 4h stay, however we have stayed the night. beatiful views. toilets closed.
Thebullochs06/08/2022Underrated this wee spot is awesome. Great for a family wee park here with access to river is amazing. Got out the paddle board and had a great time. Peaceful and relaxing spot.

The gate here gets locked at 10pm till 7am but is nice for a little walk and kids play area is lovely, toilets but they weren’t open when I visited, rubbish bins in car park. Make sure to park in the bays or else warden that patrols may give you a ticket. Under 7m motorhome I had to over hung the grass verge.
