Emplacement central pour visiter la ville et bienvenu. Cependant il y a 3 camping-car qui utilisent de petits groupes électrogènes bruyants en journée et tard le soir, et les occupants très bruyants, sortent la nuit et rentrent en hurlant, et c'est sale autour de leurs CC (mégots...). On a dû attendre 10h30 pour pouvoir vidanger les eaux noires que le propriétaire nous ouvre (peu aimable).

Ein optisch nicht besonders ansprechender aber funktioneller Platz mit breiten Stellflächen. Wir standen ruhig in einer Ecke und hatten eine angenehme Nacht. Und alles zu einem günstigen Preis (10€ mit Autokennzeichen in eine postbox).Wir konnten mit unserem Rollator ca. 1km zum Schloss laufen. Interessante Besichtigung. Anschließend machten wir noch eine Stadtrundfahrt mit dem Touristenbähnchen.

Very useful spot for one night in Kilkenny. Visited the Smethwick's Experience and could both have a drink. We stayed on a Friday, when we arrived at about 2.30pm it was already full (allocated spots with 6m gaps) however when we left on Saturday morning there were easily double the number of motorhomes, hardly any gap between the vans which did worry us. Band playing until midnight then quiet.

c’est un parking avec services pour 10€ , merci car ce genre est très peu répandu en irlande. idéal pour visiter kilkenny et passer une soirée au pub avec musique traditionnelle irlandaise. il faut bien viser pour la cuve d’eau noire car c’est le tuyau de 100mm qui sert de connecteur. merci pour cette initiative économique.

Área céntrica en Kilkenny. Propietaria amigable. A un buen precio, 10€, teniendo en cuenta que estamos en Irlanda. Por contra, música cercana de algún Pub a primera hora de la noche del jueves.

Area camper dedicata nel centro città ideale sia per visitarla ma anche per dormire. Tranquilla. Noi siamo arrivati tardo pomeriggio e posto c’era. 10€ per la notte da dare tramite honesty box in fondo al parcheggio.

Wir haben hier eine Nacht verbracht. Kein besonderer Stellplatz, aber zum ver- und entsorgen super geeignet. Haben 10 € mit einem Zettel, auf dem unser Nummernschild stand hinterlassen. Die Nacht war ruhig und man hat nur wenige Minuten zu Fuß in die Stadt, also auch super für eine Pub-Tour.

Es un lugar tranquilo en todo el centro de la ciudad, a pocos minutos de la zona comercial. Puedes vaciar y llenar agua y todo por 10 euros la noche. Lugar bastante tranquilo.

Downey63 below provides a great summary. We had a very quiet nights sleep, and felt very secure. It’s just a short walk into town which is full of character and has some lovely traditional pubs. Would recommend to all, and suitable for vans of all sizes.

Great location, 300m into town. Centra (grocery store) 100m away. Large gravel parking area, walled compound specifically created for motorhomes and camper vans only. Feels very comfortable & secure. €10 fresh water, grey waste & chemical disposal. Put your €10 + a note of your vehicle reg number & arrival date/time, pop in honesty box at far end where your water is.

Einfacher, geschotterter Platz. Keine Dienstleistung (dafür sind 10,-€ angemessen). Fußläufig zu vielen Pubs in Kilkenny, darum sind diese auch abends noch lange zu hören (und damit auch immer wieder Heimkehrer auf den Stellplatz). Die 10,-€ kommen in bar in einem Briefumschlag in einen Briefkasten (laut Mundpropaganda, einen schriftlichen Hinweis gab es nicht)

Pas glamour mais Idéalement placé pour visiter la ville. pensez à une enveloppe si vous souhaitez stationner ici. Un parking en plein centre pour des gros gabarit c’est une aubaine.

Ottimo parcheggio per visitare la città, in centro, servizi di carico e scarico dignitosi, unica nota negativa l'uso libero dei generatori, dovrebbero vietarne l'uso almeno dopo le 19, invece qualche simpaticone lo lascia acceso fregandosene del rumore per poter vedere la televisione... chi ha problemi di corrente vada in campeggio!

Muy bien ubicado, céntrico y tranquilo para dormir. Nos quedamos una noche Si no hay nadie dejar 10€ con un papel indicando matrícula y echar al buzón que hay junto a la zona de llenado.

Great spot for visiting Kilkenny. Quiet on the Monday I was there. Bonus of having drinking water and waste disposal in a little yard at the end of the aire. Thanks to the community for providing this great facility.

Sat nav tried to take us down a very narrow alleyway to get to the location. Carried on and turned left at the lights and entered from the back of the car park. Flat and plenty of space between vehicles. Convenient and reasonable price for up to 24 hrs. Confused by "No campers beyond here" notice as that is where the filling & black water emptying is. Sign actually means is no parking beyond here.

Bien pour visiter la ville, le château, la Cathédrale nuit tranquille, tous les services, 10€.

Für 10€ mit der Lage schon absolut in Ordnung. Allerdings fängt es gegen 8 Uhr an, dass Autos auf dem Hof und vor allem zwischen den Camper parken, über den hörbaren Schotter fahren und ihre Türen zu knallen. Also mit Ausschlafen ist hier nichts. Und das, obwohl zwischen den Campern ein Abstand von sechs Metern eingehalten werden muss.

Parking bien placé dans la ville mais assez sinistre ! Pas mal de trafic dans la nuit et le matin (assez tôt ! ) une trentaine de voitures viennent se garer entre les camping cars et nous réveillent. De plus il faut manœuvrer à l'étroit pour aller vidanger et faire le plein d'eau.

Good place for visiting the town. €10 for the water, grey water, empty the wc casette and 24h stay. The water filling is overgate. The gate is 2.7m wide or 50m long hose.

Perfect spot for a city break. €10 per night posted in an honesty box with your reg. No toilets or ehu but it suited us. Will definitely be back.

This spot is fantastic as said above. However it was very noisy with surrounding live music which is to be expected. Very safe & secure with friendly campers . Well worth a visit . Fresh water tap is available but not easily assessable. Would recommend moving the tap beside the grey water disposal. Bring €10 cash and envelopes for the honesty box located on the gate to the left of the fresh water.

Très bien situé pour découvrir la belle ville de Kilkenny… Tous les services essentiels (plein d’eau et vidanges eau grises, eaux noires). Il s’agit d’un parking sans aucun charme mais calme la nuit. On dépose 10€ dans la boîte aux lettres située au fond de la cour, au fond du parking(à gauche). Je pense que cette pratique est basée uniquement sur la confiance bien qu’il soit demandé de donner le numéro d’immatriculation…

Ideal motorhome parking at end of car park, in city centre basically, but quiet at night. Numbered places on wall, dump in parking with cones around, fresh tap, WC emptying & post honesty type box for €10 fee (put reg no. with it) through opening towards covered area. Full on our stay. Tricky to find, took us 2 goes as directions sent us beyond. Ideal for visiting the city and reasonable.

Parking en plein centre ville très pratique pour passer une bonne soirée au pub. La ville de Kilkenny est charmante. Ce n’est pas un environnement magnifique mais très suffisant pour une nuit, l’accès à l’eau est facile également. Pas d’autres équipement.

Great resource in the middle of a lovely city. We had a lovely evening in Egan’s Pub nearby and Áran bakery near Campagne is worth a visit.

Je vous le conseille à 100% ne pas arrivé trop tard parking très proche du centre ville et très calme . Possibilité de vidange des eaux grise des toilette et remplissage d’eau . Juste à dépose 10 euros pour 24h dans une boîte au lettre d’une porte près de la vidange et du remplissage . Ne pas hésitez à ce poser pour une nuit ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Interesantísima opción en el centro de Kilkenny. No vimos al dueño del parking en ningún momento, a la mañana llegan locales y no pagan nada, resulta curioso, pero por 10€ - 24h merece la pena. Llegamos a las 19h y marchamos al día siguiente a eso de las 14h, pagamos religiosamente y listo. Hay un cartel de “cepado de vehículo y sanción de 125€” si no se paga

A large camper aire seperated from a large car park. Pity the locals disregard signs and park cars here. But , great location for the town. Good value. Larger vans may have difficulty accessing the water.

Great spot with fantastic location close to town and quiet at night. As mentioned in other comments, €10 payment done by cash via the post box and access to fresh water and grey water disposal. It was pretty busy when we went there but all the motor homes just squeezed in.

What a fantastic aire right in the heart of the lovely Kilkenny. If only these were available everywhere. Simply parked up and posted €10 euros (in an envelope with vehicle reg on) through the letter box. Literally 3 minute walk from the Michelin starred ‘Campagne’ too, where there’s a great value ‘early bird’ 3 course menu.

Ideal spot in the centre of Kilkenny. Just put €10 in an envelope with your reg on it and post it through the letter box. Potable water, black and grey disposal all included. There are big signs stating that 6 metres must be left between each motorhome, but these are largely ignored and not enforced. We came back to find a campervan squeezed in on one side of us and a motorhome on the other.

Der Platz ist okay und sauber in der heutigen Nacht war es sehr laut ob es immer so ist kann ich nicht beurteilen haben trotz allem gut geschlafen das gute an der ganzen Sache ist das der Platz nahe am Zentrum liegt 10€sind aber völlig in Ordnung

A perfect place to park when you visit Kilkenny. We didn't see any other parking suitable for our van so this place saved the day for us. 10 euro is very reasonable even if you just parked for the day. Very quiet all night especially considering it is so central.

A central private gravel car park mainly motorhomes arranged around the 18 parking spaces around the perimeter. Elsan and water (plus envelopes and letter box for the very reasonable E10 a night) are available by reversing\walking through a snug gateway. If possible it may be easier to come with a full tank of water.Site access is through Wolfe Tone St car park. Would use again.

Haben dort 2 ruhige Nächte verbracht, man sagte uns, der Pub ist nur am Wochenende geöffnet. Wenige Minuten zu Fuß bis in die Stadt. Trinkwasser am besten mit der Gießkanne holen oder mit kleineren ¹Womo's kann man durch die Toreinfahrt durchfahren. Mülleimer haben wir nicht gefunden.

Pasamos 2 noches tranquilas. Todos los servicios, aunque no se puede acceder con el vehículo hasta el agua potable (salvo que conduzcas un camper). Para autocaravanas, debes cargar el agua con regadera o garrafa.

At the back of the general car park owned privately. Honesty box system. Great location to town if you want to have a couple of drinks. Abit loud from a nearby pub.

Super Platz, um Kilkenny zu besuchen. Selbst wann man nicht übernachtet - wie wir - ist der Platz vom Preis her angemessen. Bietet Wasser und Grauwasserentsorgung. Für Chemie habe ich nichts auf den ersten Blick gesehen (aber auch nicht danach gesucht). Bitte BEACHTEN: kein Schatten!

Stayed for two nights. Great location for visiting Kilkenny. Safe place with plenty of space. Great value at €10 per night. Water, waste disposal all good but unfortunately no bins! Recycling for glass & cans nearby.

Fantastic stop over location and a super accommodating owner. We stayed last Saturday night and we will be back again. More towns and cities should have facilities like these.

Goede plek om vanuit hier Kilkenny te bezoeken. We verbleven er 3 nachten in het weekend en het was er evengoed erg rustig 's nachts. Het zijn ruime plekken. Op zaterdagavond is dit een zeer populaire camperplaats voor de Ieren dus kom dan op tijd! Grijs en zwart water kun je legen. Betalen d.m.v. €10 in een enveloppe te doen en je kenteken erop te schrijven. Enveloppe zelf meenemen.

Situé juste à côté du Wolfe Tone Street car Park. On peut vider les WC et les eaux grises et faire le plein d'eau (attention passage étroit). Pas d'élec, pas de douches et pas de poubelles. Idéalement situé pour visiter Kilkenny. Nous y sommes restés 1 nuit. Le prix de 10€ est très intéressant. Il suffit de mettre l'argent dans une enveloppe avec immatriculation et la déposer à côté des vidanges.

Great aires in the centre of Kilkenny (entrance inside Wolfe Tone St. carpark). I stayed midweek early July and it was very quiet. €10 for 24 hour parking. Just put your van reg. on a piece of paper with money inside. Put into the post box near water service area (fresh water & chemical toilet) Grey water services in drain near lamp-post in the middle of carpark. Losing a star because no showers.

Espace à partager avec les automobilistes abonnés de 8h30 à 19h. Nuit calme 10€ dans une enveloppe eau potable Vidange eau noire pour les eaux grises, cela semble être la petite grille au milieu du parking. idéale pour visiter cette charmante ville.

Nicht schön, aber absolut praktisch und unkompliziert. Man schreibt sein Kennzeichen auf ein Papier und wirft es mit den 10€ in einen Briefkasten. Pub's und Restaurants sind fußläufig zu erreichen...

Not pretty but useful for visiting the town and very quiet at night. Good facilities but very confusing as car park is just full of no parking signs and nothing to suggest it's ok to spend the night. We just followed what we had read on P4N and put €10 in the letterbox. Town is nice but busy. Recommend Sullivan's taproom for great craft beer and pizza!

Excellent stop and very centralised for the city. We arrived during The Roots Festival - so quite busy! Glad we got there early. All services available. Both sat nav’s (including our truck one) tried to take us down a narrow alley beside the Kilford Arms - impossible!!! Travel round to the main entrance on Wolfe Tone Street and you will be rewarded!!

We used the parking only for short time - approx 2h but it’s quite big and reachable through the car parking.

Great very central spot to park overnight to visit Kilkenny. Grey and Toilet waste disposal on site along with top up water available. Arrived on Easter Sunday and while it was busy there was still some space. Signs say permit parking only, site is unmanned but grab an envelope, write your registration and number of nights you are staying (€10 per night) and pop it in the post box on site..

Super localisation pour visiter cette jolie petite ville. Proprio charmant, on peut payer via application bancaire. Un peu bruyant le matin avec les machines de nettoyage vers 5:30h mais c’est l’histoire de 10min. Service ok.

parking offrant plus d'une vingtaine de places de camping car . bon spot pour un prix raisonnable. inconvénients : le bruit de la ville le soir et le matin tôt avec des machines de nettoyage mais globalement ça n'enlève rien à l'endroit car nous sommes proches du centre ville . Nous y avons passé 3 jours killkenny est une super ville à visiter ! ce parking est une chance de le découvrir !

Very convenient location and loads of space.

Kilkenny is a fabulous place to spend a few days and explore. This is separate from the carpark which you drive through to get in. It's so central everything is within walking distance and it was quiet overnight. Services by the building and grey dumping in the middle between the cones. I couldn't see anywhere on how to pay so popped my 20€ for two nights in the post box. I hope that was right!

excellent spot to stay in very central, the only bad thing is its very TIGHT to get to the water tap, maybe the owner should put bays on the walls to stop campers from leaving way to much space

I would recommend not using coordinates . It’s off Wolfe Tone Car Park , off Wolfe Tone Street . We had a very stressful rush hour traffic adventure . Don’t be like us . Otherwise , fine .

Ein sehr großer Stellplatz mitten in der Stadt. Am Wochenende hört man die LiveMusik aus den Pubs. Unkonventionelle Bezahlung auf Vertrauensbasis. Alle Versorgungs- und Entsorgungsmöglichkeiten. Absolut zu empfehlen.

Toller Platz um die Stadt zu besichtigen. Nachts sehr ruhig, morgens kamen ein paar Autos zum parken. Wir fühlten uns hier sehr wohl.

Super Stellplatz, ruhig, viel Platz such für große Camper, Frischwasser, Grau- und Schwarzwasserentsorgung. 2 Minuten zu Fuß ins Zentrum. 10€ als Spende in weißen Briefkasten beim Wasser nicht vergessen.

Fantastic place for a town/city park up, we wish more places had one. Drive straight in and parked up. Services are through the gate in the wall with an honesty “postbox” on the corner of the building. Quiet night with no trouble and felt safe enough to leave the van all day whilst we went and explored and took some time for van chores.

Perfekter Platz um Kilkenny zu erkunden. Die Innenstadt und das Castle ist in 5 Minuten Fußläufig zu erreichen.

trouver un tel parking en plein centre ville avec tous les services est vraiment une aubaine. Attention seulement de bien accéder à ce parking par la Wolfe Tone Street. Le GPS nous avait initialement conduits vers des accès latéraux hyper étroits impossibles.

Parking très pratique pour visiter ce centre ville tout est à porter de main ( pubs, magasins, restos etc…) 10€ a glisser dans une boîte, tous les services sauf l’électricité….Je recommande !!

Área con servicio de cambio de aguas grises y vaciado de negras. Hay un buzón para dejar el dinero. A un corto paseo del castillo y la catedral. La entrada al área está al final de un parking público de pago.

Nous avons passé deux super nuits à cet endroit . Idéalement situé pour aller visiter la ville . Seul petit bémol après avoir remplit l’eau du camping car nous avons touché le bas de caisse au moment de sortir donc attention si votre camping car n’est pas très élevé.

Super pratique tout proche du centre ville ! Ce soir nous avions un bar de nuit avec la musique (22h40) assez forte en espérant que ça ne dure pas toute la nuit

Parking plat, pour y accéder se rendre au bout du premier parking puis au fond à gauche entrer dans la cours où un panneau indique « Private Car Park ». Laisser 10€/j dans la boîte aux lettres indiquant votre plaque et votre jour d’arrivée. Aire de service prêt de la maison. A 10min à pieds du centre ville, c’est parfait. Dommage qu’il n’y ait pas de poubelles

Lage in Zentrumsnähe sehr praktisch. Auf den gut beschilderten Parkplatz Wolfe Tone Street Car Park einfahren. Geradeaus sieht man schon die Camper hinter der Mauer. Rechts rum weiterfahren, dann am Ende links rein in den Private Car Park. Ganz hinten ist dann Ver- und Entsorgung. Und eine POST BOX. Hier soll man einen mit Kennzeichen beschrifteten Umschlag mit 10 Euro pro Nacht einwerfen.

Great spot. It is just a gravel car park, with walls, but very central and very quiet. No toilets, but has waste water disposal- black and grey - and a fresh water tap. For only 10 Euro a night, you can't go wrong. It's literally a 5 minute walk from the Butler art gallery, and 10 mins from the Castle. Great motorhome facility in the heart of Kilkenny city.

Bof!!!!!, un parking en gravier, entouré de mur en béton de 2m de haut, on se croirait dans une prison. Pas de toilette. Des coins au bord de la rivière so t bien mieux.

A bit confusing to reach. Set on your GPS navigator "Wolfe Tone street car park" (precisely on the junction between Barrack street and Wolfe Tone street), just enter the car park and go up to the end of the parking lot: there you'll find a gate where's written "Private car park". That's it! Put 10€ in the letter box (write your car plate number). Disposal of gray waters is difficult. No toilets.

Satnav tried to go via St Johns Street Upper, make sure to approach via Mitchell Tone Street instead. Very busy with motorhomes on Sunday afternoon. Filled up with local commuter cars and shoppers on Monday morning but emptied out after 5 pm. Very good pedestrian access to the town centrel. Useful to have water and waste water disposal, no signage for aire but we left €20 for two nights in box.

10 euros and really worth it. in the middle of town. everything you need is there. there were about 10 other vans but enough place for everyone.

Great spot for visiting Kilkenny, very central. It seemed pretty full when we got there around 5pm, but vans are coming and going all the time, so just hang around and a slot will probably come free. Everyone is very friendly. It's E.10 for the night. If there is no one around, put 10 euros in an envelope and put it through the letter box near the taps.

Great little spot I found it by pure accident safe and secure, pubs shops and everything else only a few minutes walk from you will definitely be going back there again. On busy weekends you’d be advise to get here early I was luck to get the last spot when I arrived late in the eveing

This is an ideal location, smack bang in the middle of Kilkenny City. Great for solo travellers like me, car park is at the back of the Kilford Arms on private property. Access to fresh water and facility to empty grey water/ toilet. €10 per night, post box you can pop it into. Just a heads up, turn right after the Bowling Alley, then left into a car park, campervan car park at the back.

Aire très bien placée pour visiter Kilkenny à pied, tous les services disponibles sauf électricité. On ne voit personne, il faut mettre 10€/24h dans la boîte du portail près des services. Le portail en bois pour accéder aux services peut être fermé, il suffit de l'ouvrir. Nous y avons passé 2 nuits, c'est un peu bruyant le soir et le matin tôt 6h45 un genre de balayeuse côté hôtel.

Good car park as a part of private property. Access via a public parking. We spent 1 night here in April, already 3 moto homes where here when we arrived in the evening. Access to fresh water available, can empty grey water and black water there too. Cost €10 per night which we paid at the butcher across the road. Very friendly!

Aparcamos un domingo por la mañana y hemos pasado la noche. Muy bien ubicado y con más autocaravanas, en el mismo pueblo, cerquita de todo. Las aguas grises se vacían en medio del parking, en una pequeña alcantarilla que hay, nos lo comentó otro usuario ya que no nos quedaba muy claro. Si la valla para entrar a vaciar aguas negras está cerrada no hay problema en abrirla y pasar.

Private car park in centre of Kiljenny. Very close to everything. Nice walks in the area. We stayed Wednesday October 26th with 2 other campers. Cost is €10 per night for 2 people. including Grey waste, black waste and fresh water available. No rubbish or EHU available. Perfect location to see the city.

Parkings très bien situé pour visiter kilkenny. Les services sont disponibles bien que pas très pratique mais ça le fait quand même. Si vous ne croisez pas le propriétaire en effet il faut laisser les dix euros dans la boîte aux lettres. Plutôt calme la nuit

Optimal um Die Stadt zu erkunden. Ansonsten relativ unspektakulär, aber halt sehr praktisch gelegen.

Parking privé à 2 pas du centre ville. Emplacements bien délimités. Aucune information disponible. Il faut mettre vos 10€ dans la boîte aux lettres se trouvant à l'entrée du local tri sélectif. Vidange eaux usées au milieu du parking. Vidange Wc et eau à droite du même local. Pas d'électricité (dommage). Attention:musique et bruits venant du Pub le samedi soir et se prolongeant dans la nuit.

Buen lugar cercano del centro. 10€ 24h. Si no veis al dueño, entrando hay un buzón para dejar el dinero. Una sola manguera para rellenar y limpiar, por favor hacedlo con cuidado. las grises en mitad del aparcamiento hay una pequeña rejilla. las negras al fondo entrando en la propiedad del dueño. Suelo de grava y algo feo, pero es ideal para visitar esta bella ciudad.

En plein centre. près des pubs. eau propre avec tuyau fournis, eau grise, eau noire (dévisser le bouchon noir marqué "toilet" ). même un etandoir a disposition. points a améliorer : mettre des poubelles à disposition , bétonner la zone eau grise . Mais ca vaut quand même 5*.

Great park up 10 minutes walk to town centre lots of food & bars around area. The site is very level water waste in middle of car park. Entrance via car park head for the walled area then enter via the gate.

Das Navi weist meist einen falschen Weg. Der Parkplatz ist über die R887 zu erreichen (also von oben). Kosten 10 Euro. Zu entrichten entweder mit dem Kennzeichen in den Briefkasten neben der Entsorgungsstation, oder auch beim Metzger (J. J. Cullens Butcher, John Street Upper (R887)), hier mit einen netten Plausch, sehr zu empfehlen. Die Altstadt ist in der Nähe. Einfach ideal.

C’est un parking clôturé et fermé en plein centre ville. Pas très joli et très rudimentaire mais il a le mérite d’être là car très difficile de se garer dans la ville. Un peu cher à notre goût.

Sehr gute Möglichkeit direkt in der Stadt zu übernachten. Dadurch kurze Wege zu den nahen Restaurants und Bars. Wir haben uns am Anfang von Google etwas verwirren lassen und viele Fußwege erst im 2. Anlauf entdeckt. Die Möglichkeiten zur Ver- und Entsorgung sind für große/ breite Motorhomes etwas schwieriger zu erreichen aber dennoch sehr gut.

Tutto perfetto! Lo scarico delle grigie è identico alle nere, ed è sulla sinistra delle nere. Si svita e si svuota. Noi abbiamo usato il nostro secchiello, mentre riempivamo l’acqua scaricavamo le grigie nel secchiello e lo svuotavamo nel tubo. Non capiamo cosa ci sia di complicato!?!? Tutto ottimizzato se si ha una buona organizzazione. Acqua con pressione perfetta…

This is a level, gravel site. Go through the Wolfe Tone car park. Wind your way round to the far end and see the “Private” sign on a large gate, go through this and park. There’s another pair of gates at the other end and the services are through those, maybe a bit awkward. The black water is down a drain pipe with a screw cover. We never found grey water drain. There’s water but only one tap.

The lot is fairly level. the gate with the private parking was open and once you're inside that lot you'll see a black wooden gate. inside that gate are the services but currently the grey water dump is not accessible. The post box slot is on a dark door before you get to the arch on the left.
