weird pub expensive menu. asked to stay overnight if 3 of us ate their expensive menu and drank of course. they said. no worries I will go n spend me 100 quid somewhere else. probably done me a favour financially. fantastic swimming nearby though

I stayed on the side of the road for one night. There was some traffic, but at night it was quiet. I went for a meal at the "Angel" which was alright. In the morning went for a nice walk in the woods. Very nice place!
The pub let us stay in their parking lot for the entire day while we were out hiking, didn’t sleep there but very friendly staff and Wi-Fi from the pub across the street stretches over into the parking lot! Definitely can recommend for a stay during the day!
3 pubs to choose from. Public toilet 7am to 7pm. The long lay-by is reasonably quiet overnight, no pedestrians.
Decent roadside parking in the long narrow layby. Occasional shake from passing traffic but nothing too bad. Quieter than it looks. Bin next to the graveyard. All good!
The Angel pub do not want you parking in their car park! Also do not ask to use their facilities as they will say NO!!! I have added photos. Instead park across the road on the side next to the field.
