Only planned to visit but decided to stay the night as it's such a spectacular place! Small numbers of visitors in the late afternoon and evening but no one stayed long. Amazing changes of light as sun moved and set and almost full moon rose - ethereal feel at dusk. Yellow warning for gale force winds issued (we measured at 23m/s) but managed to move the van behind a conveniently huge boulder!
Very cool spot, parked amongst huge rocks which is Europe’s largest scree field. A small free via ferrata is also here. Really quiet night and great views. Bins and a picnic table here.
Beautiful spot, close to the road but slept great! We were all alone! Not a lot of traffic passing by except for in the morning when people stop by to take a look at the views.
Ein schöner Aussichtspunkt aber für eine Übernachtung zu eng, zu nah an der Straße und zu voll: alle Autos und Camper bleiben dort stehen. Ich weiß nicht wie es nachts aussieht aber Abends wollten wir dort nicht einmal stehen bleiben.
Ruhiger Spot mit toller Aussicht, ein Tisch mit Sitzmöglichkeiten vorhanden. Keine Toiletten. Ein kleiner Klettersteig startet direkt daneben. Perfekt für eine Nacht. Außer uns waren noch 2 weitere Fahrzeuge dort (Wohnmobile).
Stayed two nights as we were climbing and hiking in the area. Nice quiet place, the road has very little traffic. The views are magnificent. Be aware that until mid July 2024 there are roadworks just beyond the Gloppedalsura pass and the road is blocked for most of the day. You can only reach the pass from Vikeså.
Tidy break spot. Nice to sit at and eat and watch.
Wir wollten hier eine Nacht verbringen, aber als mehrfach Gesteinsbrocken vom Berg herunter rollten, verbrachten wir die Nacht woanders! Die Straße weiter nach Byrkjedall war durch Geröllmaßen gesperrt und beschädigt gewesen.
Super quiet, beautiful views. A bit windy in the night. We hiked to the beach below and also did the via Ferrata around the bolder field. We were alone, only a few vehicles passed by.
Fantastische plaats, foto's kunnen deze plaats niet beschrijven, moet je bezocht hebben. Er is plek voor meerdere campers. Wel tot laat bezoekers die kort komen kijken maar als je dat niet lastig vind heb je een Fantastische plek. 100 meter verder ook een parkeergelegenheid maar wel heel schuin.
Bijzondere locatie en leuk om eens te bezoeken. Ik was er helemaal alleen. Na een paar uur nog helemaal niemand gezien. Ik voelde me er niet prettig bij hier alleen te overnachten, dus ik ben doorgereden.
Amazing place well worth a visit. During the winter months this is a nice place for star gazing
Very cool place among the stones! We didn’t spend the night but went on a small hike down to the beach which was amazing and we highly recommend.
