quiet, nice spot. Slept there in my car, no disturbance and extremely nice owner. Definitely will be back there ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

  • 5/5

This was a great wee find. Perfect stop for the night and really friendly and helpful owner, James. We stayed over and then we able to leave our van while we climbed up the beautiful Mournes. Perfectly maintained site wjth toilets and drinking water available as well as the chance to buy yummy honey (we did!). We'll definitely be back!

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

Lovely spot! Very quiet, well maintained, we had 2 nights. £5 into honesty box ... but we haven't found the honey yet.. ps save yourself a walk... the cafe up the road no longer exists, despite a sign by the road. Edit ... We bought 4 jars. £5 for 227g It is clear wildflower honey and delicious!!

  • 5/5

This is now one of my favourite places in the world to visit and relax. James, the owner has become a friend and makes us feel welcome and appreciated. Wonderful location and always craic and serenity in equal measure. The location is convenient to the Mournes and the coast. You can relax whilst out hiking knowing your car will be safe and secure as James is always about. Toilets on site, bonus.

  • 5/5

A great location to park up. We went for one night and stayed for 2. James is really helpful and chatty. Some fantastic views to the sea in front and the Mourne Mountains behind. Handy for a walk into the hills. Would definitely recommend. With toilets, fresh water and local honey, a safe stopover.

Car parking for mountain walking but also lovely place to overnight, beautiful views of the coast and Mourne mountains. A bit exposed if weather doesn't cooperate. James the owner very friendly and enthusiastic.

  • 5/5

James is absolutely lovely. Only £5 for the night with running water, bins and toilets. It's also such a great start location for a bunch of different hikes. Quiet enough during the night, can't wait to go back.

I had a really lovely stay in the car park at Old Town Road Annalong. The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming—he genuinely went out of his way to look after us, even providing firewood, which made all the difference. You can really tell he cares. There's also local honey for sale there, which was a lovely touch. Overall, such a peaceful and wholesome spot—I’d happily stay again!

Absolute gem of a place. James the owner is a gentleman couldn't do enough for us. So friendly and kind. First night in my camper and was a great spot. lovely views toilets and water. So quiet and peaceful. We seen the Northern Lights and shooting stars which was amazing. Handy to the Mournes for a hike. Will definitely be back.

  • 5/5

One night stopover at a cost of £10.00 for a roof tent and 2adults well worth it for the views alone. Met the owner, James, a gentleman for sure, always ready for a chat. A short walk leads to a path to take you into the heart of the Mournes and for the more adventurous on to Slieve Binnian itself. Would definitely return.

  • 5/5

Litter bins stunning views over sea and of Mourne Mountains. Please leave tidy and pay in the honesty box. We need places like this for all to enjoy - will return for sure

  • 5/5

Paid €5 for night, friendly and very helpful owner assured us we were in no hurry to move on next day. Basic toilet facilities and tap. Super view. Will use again.

  • 5/5

Very nice and quiet park up with great panoramic sea view, the owner is very friendly, honesty box in operation, sometimes weak 4g reception on Vodafone, toilets and water tap.

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

Great spot, James was lovely for a chat. He’ll take either pound or euro - 5 for the night. Basic toilet which was good regardless. Be mindful of your vehicle with the rain, although it’s a downward slope you should be able to roll out to the bottom gate.

  • 5/5

Great views, prices are the same as previously mentioned no increases. Toilets are basic but that’s all you need. Water tap available. The man who runs it is lovely, came over just after we pulled up & helped us pick out a good spot that was flat and assured us that our van would be safe should we go up the mountains following day. Said there’s no rush to leave in mornings either.

  • 5/5

Durch Zufall hier gelandet. Sehr netter Besitzer.

Nachts ruhig. Ein Stern Abzug, da kein gerader Platz vorhanden.

  • 4/5

Mooie CP met water en toilet. James vroeg 5 euro voor de overnachting. Volgende dag gewandeld naar Slieve Binnian (4 uur). Verbluffend uitzicht.

  • 4/5

Great place to stop over and excellent value for money at £5 for 24hrs. The owner is most welcoming and states that he is gradually adding to the site, showers may come at some point in the future. The toilets are basic but grand, water refill is possible too. Enjoy this beautiful location, perfect for mountain walking, cycling or relaxing

  • 5/5

fairly level site with phenomenal views of the sea and the mountains toilets on site and are basic but well maintained and very clean £5 over night or £3 for just the day fresh water available but no other services but for £5 it's top tier 10/10 would highly recommend

Stayed on Sunday night, there were 4 campers and 3 cars so felt very safe. Lovely spot with clean amenities. Will definitely be back

  • 5/5

Great place to park up, location (access to the Mournes) nearby cafe, views (Mountains & the Sea), toilets, water & of course your Host James.. Plenty of chat & banter :).. yep we will be regulars..

  • 5/5

Attentive, friendly owner who is improving the facities as he can afford it. Fantastic views to coast and mountains. There are more than the 6 places indicated however site is open to walkers for car parking. Hence space and availability will vary on a daily basis as it's not set out as conventional camping pitches. Great cycling and walking in the area and just 20 minutes drive from Newcastle.

  • 5/5

  • 4/5
