A great stop over with a warm welcome....Billy gave us the keys to the shower and a friendly chat , telling us about the area..... there is a lovely pub...and cafe ......you get all this for a donation....it's better than a lot of campsites we have paid to stay in..

Excellent little park up. Clean toilets, shower (we were welcomed by local gentleman, who gave us the shower key) All for a donation - there’s no fixed charge. Bird in Hand pub was v good for a drink & pork scratchings! They do food but not sure if it’s at all times of year.

Ruhiger Stellplatz mit sauberen Toiletten. Die Duschen sind abgeschlossen, aber die Bewohner geben einem auf Anfrage gerne den Schlüssel. Der Platz wird von freiwilligen Helfern der Gemeinde betreut – eine freiwillige Spende ist sehr willkommen und hilft, das Engagement vor Ort zu unterstützen.

Such a warm warm welcome. Chap came round and offered key to shower in the village hall, and then a lovely pub with chatty staff - great chips. Stayed an extra night for the village fete 10/10

A little gem, stunning village steeped in history, a great view from the top of the Motte and Bailey. The locals were over with a key for the shower as soon as we parked up. We left a good donation for the upkeep of the facilities by the volunteers. Very friendly and welcoming people.

Kleiner, super süßer Stellplatz in traumhafter englischer Umgebung. Toiletten sind rund um die Uhr im Gemeindezentrum geöffnet – kein Luxus, aber voller Charme und Ruhe.

By far the best stop on the Northumberland 250. There are 2 car parks, a lower one by the stream or an upper one by the community centre. Overnight stays are not only allowed, but encouraged! Please use the upper car park first as there is more space for large motorhomes and the shower and toilets are there in the community centre. local pub 3 mins walk, also sells fresh veg. Donations welcome.

Nous avons passé une très bonne nuit. Toilettes très propre. On peut se garer en bas ou en haut à côté des toilettes . On nous a donné une clef pour le douche. Pensez à la boîte à don.

Super vriendelijke ontvangst. Water aanvullen, wc’s, afval sorteren, douche indien je het vraagt. Het is kleinschalig en volledig mogelijk door vrijwilligers en donaties voor de kosten. Vergeet dus zeker niet van een donatie te doen wanneer je er bent.

Beautiful little village, everyone is so friendly. parking spot was brilliant, guy came up with the shower key straight away and told us about the village. toilets were open all night and were very clean, leave a wee donation as its all run by volunteers. pub was brilliant, lovely staff, great pint and brilliant food, especially the pizza!!

Ein toller Parkplatz mit 24/7 super sauberen WCs. Alle hier waren unglaublich freundlich!! Es gibt bis zu 4 Schlüssel für die blitzsaubere, warme Dusche. Wer das wie ich noch nie gesehen hat: In der Ecke hinter der Duschtür ist ein kleines Seil, das die Elektrik für die Dusche ein/ausschaltet (nicht mit Notrufzug in der Dusche verwechseln) Im Vorraum sind Broschüren für die Umgebung=) Wundervoll!

Beautiful well kept village and friendly locals who encourage vans to park outside the community hall which provides toilets, open 24hrs, (including a disabled toilet) and a key provided for the shower, all for a donation. Chuck in the village pub with attached cafe for breakfast and this is the perfect overnight spot.

A wonderful stop over in a pretty village, where the villagers actively welcome motorhomers. A key is certainly provided for the spotless shower, this time by a small girl at the prompting of her dad! The village hall toilets are left open and again, spotless. The pub was great too. Beautiful surroundings countryside. Not one to miss!

Emplacement exceptionnel comme il en faudrait plus. Les villageois sont très gentils et serviable. Merci de laisser une donation pour les toilettes propres et la douche. Je recommande vraiment cette petite halte.

tout est dit précédemment et tout est vrai ! l’accueil de Billy qui propose la douche gratuite, les toilettes, même hier soir une séance de cinéma possible! le pub restaurant est chaleureux. bref sûrement un des meilleurs villages accueillants du royaume uni...calme et tranquille, l’étape idéale !

Great stop over.! We stayed at the village hall after a lovely chat with Billy. Toilet and shower are available on site, key given to us for a donation to the hall. Great place to walk from and the village pub Bird in Bush was a great evening entertainment with the locals. Very friendly place. Highly recommend, we will be back. Thank you

We were guided to park our 7.2m motor home outside the village hall. The community is very friendly and the pub is also worth a visit. Apart from recycling bins there are no dump facilities, so please keep the place clean

Stayed last night after been recommended and it was everything he said it was, very nice village lovely walk round, meal at pub was very nice , toilets and shower very clean would certainly stay again, villagers very friendly, beautiful skies with amazing stars

Best place we’ve been. Unbelievably welcoming. They have stated that they can’t take too many people coming so if there’s a few vans here already then please move on and come another night. We don’t want to end up with them feeling overwhelmed. But honestly the nicest place ever. Please be generous with your donations as this is the only way they keep this going

Car park with 8 spaces, toilets in the village hall up the lane. Locals super friendly and offered key for the shower in the village hall. We left a donation for the toilets. Nice little village with pub/cafe

Wonderful little village and lovely place to spend the night. Toilets nearby and we were met by a local who kindly gave us a key for the shower. He also showed us the tap for fresh water. Donation appreciated to help keep the facilities open. Short walk to the local pub where we enjoyed a great meal. Highly recommended.

Endorse everything said. Most hospitable village we have come across. Unfortunately pub owner can’t decide whether she takes cards or cash and the price of drinks fluctuated dramatically. She blamed her staff, of course.

Myself and my dog (Monty) had a night here last night,Fantastic little spot. It’s off the road by a little brook very quiet even during the day nice and dark at night. Toilets and shower are a stones throw away (literally) and are community ran leave a donation inside the toilet block. Pub a minute walk away great beer and food. Pretty little village very friendly people. The whole of Northumberland at your fingertips. A must. Definitely be back

The friendliest village in the UK - fantastc stop for a donation. As said before we were met by a village volunteer and offered the key to the shower - so clean, so hot and then a great little pub as well.

Such a gorgeous village. The local farmer came over with the key to the shower which was as amazing. Super clean toilets and shower open 24hr. We feel very welcome and safe here for the night. Make sure you leave a donation so this can stay open.

Emplacement parfait pour la nuit ! Petit parking au calme proche d'une petite rivière dans un charmant et paisible village. L'accès à des toilettes propres et confortables, ouvertes 24h/24 (à 30m) est très pratique. Un monsieur est passé en soirée nous proposer la clé pour la douche.

Emplacement très calme, village charmant, on vous conseille le pub restaurant "The bird in bush" et son Pie au bœuf.

Absolutely Beautiful village. Small beck running alongside you. Good EE signal. Small village pub and coffee house with good food. Nice church. Little shaded for solar from trees. Immaculate Toilets 30 yards away with honestly box. Definitely returning. Welcomed by a Local who came over with key to ask if we’d like to use the shower. Lovely. Might struggle with larger van, but I’d say up to 7mtr.

Normaler PKW-Parkplatz nahe der Durchgangsstraße, eher geeignet für VW Bus Größe, aber nicht für größere WoMos. Ansonsten wie beschrieben, auch die Toiletten im Gemeindezentrum waren geöffnet. Keinerlei Hinweis gefunden, ob OverNight-Parking wirklich erlaubt oder doch verboten ist.

A safe place for a solo Middle-age female car or van camper. 24 hour pristine toilets kept by volunteers. a picnic bench for a cook up. ideal spot for the night and for astro photography. So quiet ... love it saved it on my best list.

Stayed here for the night on a van/car camping trip with Oldest Friend, recording the adventure for my YouTube channel More Than Just a Cleaner. Easy access to the toilets and we were given a key for showers in the morning by a very friendly local chap. The local pub, The Bird n Bush was also very friendly. Highly recommended!

Beautiful & quiet little corner of the village with bins, (slow) 4g on vodafone, toilets open 24/7 and a shower with hot water! Please don't forget to leave a little something in the donation box next to the public toilet.

Great stop over in a lovely Northumberland village. Didn't use the facilities in the hall as we are self sufficient, but I can recommend the village Pub. edit: in the morning a lovely lady from the house opposite sent her daughter over with the key so we could use the shower in village hall.

We had a fantastic time here! Welcomed by a local when we arrived- they gave us a key to a shower in the village hall. It's run by donations only and whatever donations they get, they use to invest in the facilities (they recently installed the shower with donation money) so please donate if you use the facilities. Village also has a pub and a lovely Cafe run by an older couple in their home.

Quiet little car park with very clean toilet facilities, picnic bench, bins and recycling point, lovely village
