No black water disposal. There seems to be some building work going on, so maybe they are ungrading it? Grass is still very unlevel. Great views of the sea and Arran. Morrisons 5 minutes away.

  • 5/5

Stayed here for one night to make the ferry the next day. Great spot! We tried further up the shore first but that was quite cramped and by the road. This spot had a water point, lovely view of the sea and nicely away from the road. Only one of the pay and go loos in the block appeared to stay open late.

  • 3/5

  • 4/5

Fantastic views across to Arran. Quite busy but actually still very quiet at night. Felt pretty safe and other people were friendly. The toilets not open at night so losses a point for that. Although you pay for parking until 9am there is no requirement to leave straight away as you only need to pay again at 6pm.

  • 3/5

  • 5/5

Quiet & lovely views. Bathrooms only 50p and open all night.

  • 5/5

Peaceful place at night, but a popular play in the day, with families enjoying the beach. abundance of sea shells to pick up. Toilets in a mess, but I blame the hooligans that leave a mess and the graffiti. a nice walk to the town centre ( one mile), lots of lovely shops and cafes, Morrisions is about 0.5 mile from the middle of the park. will definitely come back.

  • 4/5

Such mixed reviews! We liked it a lot as a night stop before the Arran ferry 5 minutes away. Huge large area of firm grass on sand 20 metres from shore front. Great views to Arran and sunset and over vast beach and bay. Some bumps but no problem - it is grass. Plenty of level places. £ 10.20 from 6pm to 9am then free until 6pm seems OK to me!

  • 2/5

You pay 10£ for nothing, the area is bumpy, you have huge holes in the ground, gravel access roads. Every car can and will park here so it is very noisy and crowded, directly next to the road so you have that as well. The toilets are disgusting and cost 50 pence, only card payment is possible and they close at night. Other than a place big enough for motorhomes I do not see a reason to come here and pay.

  • 3/5

Very bumpy/holey ground (grass) but plenty of room to free park, right by the sea. Main road busy but far enough to not be bothered. Paid toilets, free disabled with radar key. app to pay. Have to leave by 9am.

  • 5/5

Ruhige Nacht verbracht.

  • 2/5

Great view of sea, not the flattest and difficult to get Level - long way out of town!! Random noise from boy racers but no later than 11!! Experience spoilt by neighbouring motor home who started running there engine for an hour from 6,30 why? Park away from others of your going to mess about so early - must have annoyed the others close by, if your reading this show some respect

  • 4/5

Nice views out and only £10 for a safe and peaceful stopover. Lost a point as the payable loos were not clean, and the lights kept going out whilst I was using!!

  • 5/5

An excellent stopover on the edge of town and right by the beach. The site is open and it’s free to park until April 1st. There’s currently an area full of building materials on site but it’s unclear what it’s for. A lot of dog walkers and a fairly busy road during the day.

  • 1/5

This is now closed to large vehicles until April.

  • 1/5

    all toilets out of order,

  • 5/5

Lovely spot wide grassy. Peaceful overnight on a Thursday. Lovely sandy beach & park. Toilets, bin & black water disposal. Payment by app for overnight. It's not flat area to park on but plenty of spaces to find a suitable spot. DO NOT PARK HORIZONTAL. you don't own the right to a view.

  • 4/5

Great stopover for £10, payable by parking app. Agree with comments about keeping sites like this running. Leave only footprints :)

  • 5/5

we need to keep this place so please follow the rules of the site! I came back from a walk Saturday night to find 5/6 camp fires and BBQs on the go which is not allowed and is a fire risk!! and a few large MHs parked 90 degrees to everyone else taking up 2/3 places!! who are these people? and by Sunday afternoon when most had left some rubbish had been left!! we need to do better!?!

  • 4/5

Lovely location, great views, quiet and spacious. Had a lovely evening walk along the beach. Be aware at the time of our stay 3/5 toilets were out of order and they get locked prior to 10pm due to vandalism. Morrisons close by with petrol/diesel at a good price.

  • 5/5

Fantastic spot, incredible views & sunsets. The town is a 10min walk away with Morrisons & petrol station. The local chippy is 5min away (barassie chippy) the local convenience store is next door. Open 6am till 8pm. Great phone signal also. If your not wanting to walk into town, there is 2 buses that stop right outside the parking area number 10 & 14, both will take you into town in 5 min.

  • 5/5

Stayed 2 nights. fantastic place, lots of vans, felt safe. lovely walk along the beach . Wee Hurrie is a fantastic chippy. Morrisons 5 mins walk away. would definitely stay again.

  • 5/5

Great stopover plenty of room overlooking the beach £10 per night off by 09.30 ish. Toilet block using card payment £00.50 ago wasn’t working when we were there though. Wee Hurrie chip shop past Morrisons & Sawmill on harbour was brilliant.

  • 4/5

  • 4/5

Great wee night spent here right on the shore. £10 a night payable via an app. Good chip shop 5 minutes walk. Morrisons 5 min walk and good dog friendly pub 10 minute walk. Nice wee town. Lost a star for the toilets. 3 out of order and the other 2 would not open despite paying 50p twice.

  • 4/5

Nice big grassy park-up with close access to a beach, niceish views and super fast internet. For the 10er a night, would love to see a water tap added. but apart from that, all great!

  • 5/5

Stayed here Friday into Saturday. Large area with around 15 other vans and a few vehicles with tent boxes. Great location right at the beach.

  • 4/5

A great spot, please note the barrier is not a permanent feature. I'm not sure when they close it, possibly low season times.. Don't be put off during those summer months because there is no barrier. It's a pity people abuse the toilets, why can't we look after things in Scotland? Please respect these facilities, too many people grudge paying for services that need to be maintained. Thanks SAC!

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

Great wee spot for paddle boarding. Clean and clear water and relatively shallow for quite a distance so you can feel confident going further out on your board. Wee Hurrie close by for fish and chips, Dough for a pizza and a Morrisons and fuel station.

  • 5/5

Brilliant stop, and for £10 (pay by phone) who can complain? We are parked up at the headland overlooking the beach.

  • 4/5

great stop over ,3 toilets in use ,very quiet night ,lovey views across to Aran ,Height barrier locked open so no restrictions ,nothing bad to say .

  • 1/5

We also found this spot on Google maps with the information sign for motorhome parking. This sign has now gone and both height barriers are up. If you are in anything taller than 2m... no chance. Very disappointed as this would have been a great spot and we would have spent money in the town!

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

No height barrier. Great views. Clean spacious safe. Need a smart phone to pay £10. Per night, fantastic stay.

  • 5/5

Great place to park £10 for overnight.fantastic sea views .toilets on site and bins .

  • 5/5

No height restrictions at the moment. beautiful views, loads of bins, ample room, meters from the sandy beach, dog friendly. Brilliant value! amazing for sea bird watching.

  • 4/5

£10 per night. No height restrictions. Motorhome trial scheme. Waste disposal & toilets 30p.

  • 3/5

now a trial site, £10 a night, no height restrictions. toilets but no services

  • 4/5

Now a trial motorhome parking area. 2m barrier was not in place when I passed by. Very rough grassy field basically. Good location otherwise.

  • 3/5

Gutted this was a 2M restriction as it was a great place to park up and sit on the beach. Came down to paddleboard with friends and had to park on street :( which would clearly be more annoying for residents.

  • 5/5

Lovely friendly town, ate in the harbour bar.
