On a passé une nuit !! magnifique vue surplombant le lac et Calme... quelques places assez rares le long de cette route ( barrées plus loin mais vous pouvez aller jusqu'au spot !! )dont certaines en pentes. Aucun gardien en vue !!!!

stayed here last night wasawoken late at night by a warden told no overnight stays anywhere in the lakes and to use a recognised site. was given £100 fine and told to move on. when I spoke to local next day was informed they are really clamping down. so watch out didn't realise it was illegal in the lakes

Stayed here last night (Friday) ready to do the Catbells in the morning. 2 cars parked here most likely off camping as we never saw anyone else. Very quite great views down over the water. we moved down to the catbells car park in the morning to start the hike £5 all day, but you can park in lots of free places down the road if your early enough. also the cheapest ice cream by far.

Lovely spot overlooking the end of the lake. Only one very flat spot but can fit 3 small or medium vans. Walking tracks above and below. Cars park regularly as use for day walks.

Exelent spot for the night . No hassle, hardly any traffic . We parked here ready for a sunrise walk in the morning up Catbells . The path of the Catbells circular runs right past here so was perfect for us

Small space but so perfect. Only room for about 3 vehicles and not especially flat but I managed to find a flattish bit. Some 4G reception, 7 minute walk down to the lake and a gorgeous pontoon for swimming

full of litter. bags of dog poo left all over. busy with cars, even in bad weather. blocked in when I woke up.

  • 4/5

Quiet place for a night, can imagine it gets busy in summer. Quite a bit of litter around (had a tidy up before I left). Had a car blasting music randomly turn up then leave after about 15 minutes at about 11pm.

Amazing place with gorgeous views. We had to tackle an ice covered switch back but managed with my L2H2 master. Two other cars parked as well, no bother. Late morning some hikers, all friendly. Perfect place for a start of the hike.

Deze plek is geschikt voor slechts 1 camper. Moeilijk bereikbaar met een camper want deze weg langs het meer is erg smal, zonder vangrails langs hoge steile afgrond. Groot probleem als je tegenliggers tegenkomt. 2 haarspeldbochten.

Great spot, secluded and fairly flat. A few other cars there which weren't occupied. Totally undisturbed night

Cracking little spot, ice cream van during the day but very quiet from 5/6pm onwards. Small walk from the water. Stayed one night no issues, would visit again 100%

Stayed here 7th March. Great location with a lovely partial view over Derwentwater. Even better for doing Catbells! Would be conscious you can easily get blocked in by other people parking here.

Parked our LWB here with lots of rooms to spare. we parked late in the evening and was amazed by the veiws in the morning. however, narrow windey roads on approach. helps to be a confident driver

Stayed end of Jan, tucked back, managed to get our LWB Ducato comfortably in there with room for a van next to us. Slightly sloped at the back but not a problem and views were amazing. Was not disturbed and can walk up to Cat Bells from here.

stunning spot. it is slightly off road and uneven. but take a walk in front to the lake and the views are breathtaking wow. can be busy with hikers and got quieter at night

  • 5/5

Great spot. Sheltered by the cove & nice views. Space for 3/4 vans. Full 4G. Ground a little uneven on the right side.

  • 4/5

Great views and access to lake and Cat Bells walk. Spot wasn’t completely level and very busy - lots of vans turned up after us looking for a spot but was full (only space for 2 really, plus a few cars squeezing in where possible). Sadly smelled quite unpleasant and lots of toilet paper when we visited, not bad enough to not stay there though given the location and views.

  • 4/5

Awesome views. Not level. Great for a short stopover and for walks in the hills.

Phone signal on 3 and a lovely view down to Derwent. Room for 2 small cars and it's pretty muddy on the level spot near to the rocks. It's right next to the main trails for the popular Catbells so expect it to be busy early. I was woken by hikers pulling in while still dark chatting loudly, but that's what you get for parking next to a trail. There are a few parking spots on this road.

Stayed here overnight, 2 cars went passed in the night and another van next door. Space for three vans and well sheltered by cliffs on three sides. 4G signal allowing for streaming. If it's a west blowing wind it does blow straight in.

  • 4/5

Great views and quiet overnight. , some angry farmers beeping a few times though

  • 5/5

Incredible spot, an absolute must if you can get there first.. brilliant views, well sheltered by surrounding cliffs and enough spots for 3 campers. highly recommend

  • 5/5

Good little spot set back from road was another car and small van but still roomy.
