Location: Ladybower Reservoir Type: Day parking only Cost: FREE (if you can grab a space ?) We parked up at Ladybower for a daytime stop while we headed out on a circular walk to see the dam. Parking is free, but it’s definitely a case of early bird gets the space — it fills up quickly, especially on weekends and sunny days. The location is spot on for stretching your legs. Straight from the car park you’re into classic Peak District scenery – water views, rolling hills and that iconic dam wall. The circular route is easy to follow, well maintained and ideal if you just want a decent wander without tackling a full mountain hike. No overnight stays, no camping vibes — just a solid, scenic day park-up with proper postcard views. Perfect for a brew before or after your walk ☕ Would we use it again? 100%… just setting the alarm next time ?
