Proper wild camping and you need to be self-sufficient but it's a nice lay-by with nice views over the bay.

Passing traffic (car every 5 min) but nothing passed after 9.30pm and didn't start again until 6.30am (car every 20min).

Haybales placed by the farmer should be a clear indication to anyone that they don't want overnights. Not worth risking being woken up by an angry farmer in my opinion. There is a dedicated car park 1 mile down the road with ample space for campervans.

Easily the quietest and darkest spot I've seen so far on my travels at night, simply gorgeous. Some friendly cows and chickens/roosters (?) here too, glad to eat berries if you can find any. Further north up the road are some additional parking spots too, if the main by the hay bales is taken. Can't recommend enough, great vibes here

Very good spot! There were still bales as other comments say, but there’s plenty of space to park and enjoy the nice views (no sign saying no overnight parking). Very quiet at night, we arrived late and we didn’t hear any car until 7am. (No toilets or bins) There’re few other spots before and after to park too next to the road.

very nice spot, don't be put off by the bales. reasonably level, pebbled area no chance of getting stuck in mud if it rains heavily overnight. Fantastic views of the firth. virtually no traffic at all, occasional one maybe every half hour until 8.00pm. Also another spot just before you get to this one on left side of the road in wooded area, no view.

We tried to stay here, but a farmer looks like they are trying to stop people camping here by placing their hay bales in the layby. We respected this and went further down the road and found what looked to be a dedicated area for campersvans and motorhomes, no power, but there is a bin for visitors.
