MolCalRu09/07/2025Arrived at 11.30pm, lots of Lorries parked but enough room for our van. Little bits of road noise can be heard but nothing to cause issues. Was good for a place to park and get a decent night sleep.

We were asked to leave by holiday inn security, there were wagons parked up but said we had to go

A hugely long off-road lay by which is flat. Definitely only an overnight stop as it is used by a LOT of lorries for driver's rest, so much coming and going overnight. We arrived at 10pm, and there was only just room for our 7m motorhome amongst the lorries.

Quiet parkup with room to walk the dogs. I did a littler pick but tbh it’s a dirty area lots of “truck driver” waste I couldn’t touch. Poo:( an abandoned caravan too. Ideal to sleep and move on. One thing which may put you off is that there is NO phone signal at all.

Great place with very little background vehicle noise. We went into Flore and had a drink at the White Hart which was lovely. The place is 90% flat which was brilliant so we had a good night sleep.

Cannot fault the place, stopped overnight on way to Lancashire with my husband and 3 kids felt safe. Could hardly hear the traffic, was nice and quiet

Does the job; lay-by set back from the main road, stayed here overnight on route to Brighton. Some other lorries and vehicles parked up which felt better than being totally alone; had an uneventful & undisturbed night. Can hear the traffic on the main road, but no big deal. Bit stinky at one bit either from scrubbers emptying their cassettes into the hedge or just from people using it as a toilet
