Not the cheapest, but good value given you can leave your van parked up for the duration and a short walk into town. Good number of clean shower rooms. Quiet site on a hill, with the plots on terraces. Great in the morning sunshine.

pilotdude29/08/2025Fairly easy in & out, but we were parked at the top of the hill, so lower spots might have been tighter. Convenient for walking into town or up to Abbey. Showers were nice- lots of hot water & no push button.

I would give this site a 10/10. It is a short walk into the town. It was £30 a night and the separate bathrooms are immaculate, you control temperature and length, just like a bathroom at home. I think it's good value, and if you factor in not having to pay for parking in the town it probably works out cheaper than most campsites.
sonnenscheinva2227/06/2025Haben 2 Nächte hier gestanden. Der Platz ist auf Terrassen Ebenen angelegt. Stadtnah (10 Minuten) und sehr ruhig. Der Platz ist sehr gepflegt. Laundry gibt es ca. 1 km entfernt.

Spur of the moment stop after free park up nearby felt and looked like it would inconvenience locals, got here and phoned, they let us stay for 2 nights, £38, fairly short walk into town although it's a steep valley. facilities on site are clean, hot showers, very quiet site, would phone ahead, no pets allowed, van is 7.5m so a bit of shunting to fit in the so access to others isn't blocked

stayed here for 2 nights. very friendly lady welcomed us. clean individual bathrooms. 10 minutes walk to town. id would definitely recommend this site. 35 pounds a night min 2 nights. good value compared with a Airbnb or hotel so close to town. id also say it's very quiet too

Eine Nacht 2 Erw. 2 Kin. Camper hat 41 Pfund gekostet, im Vergleich und für das, was geboten wird eher teuer. Es ist ein Stellplatz mit den nötigsten Einrichtungen, Duschen/WC ordentlich aber in die Jahre gekommen. Es ist ruhig und mit etwas Aussicht aber in ein Tal. Unbedingt bei Ankunft anmelden /anrufen. Der Besitzer hat mal eben die Polizei gerufen, wegen eines unangemeldeten Zeltes.

Nice campsite close to the centre (15 min) and abbey (10 min) of Whitby. No wind in contrast of the camps near the sea. No dogs allowed,children yes. For 2 adults,2 children 36 pounds per night. Quite steep access,no so comfortable for big campers.

waren eine Nacht sind zufrieden. Die Lage ist ideal in der Stadt, das Zentrum ist in 15 min zu Fuß erreichbar. Die Sanitäre Anlagen sind sauber aber in die Jahre gekommen.

Last minute stop over £30. All ok. Walked to Wetherspoons for evening had taxi back just over £5.00 bargain could not face that hill after few. Still felt site slightly over priced although close to town pitches are good site is good. But, might just be me being a bit tight.

Excellent campsite within a short walk of Whitby town centre. Large pitches, powerful hot showers, easy disposal system and lots of drinking water taps. Cash only (£30 a night). No pets.

Not sure what the other review was on about! A great campsite here £25 a night without electric also great facilities- hot showers, washing up etc. Would return as super quiet in Oct looking over a stunning valley but also 10 mins walk to pubs in the town centre!! Well recommended.

very expensive. charged 35 pounds only listed at 25 pounds. there is no heating in the showers only plus close to whitby
