I have stayed here on a few occasions and found it to be a good spot. Some road noise depending on which part of the lay-by you park. There are 4 bins provided. I have done a litter pick on a couple of stays, just helps the world go round. 4g signal strength is also dependent on which bit of the lay-by you park.
BIEN POUR 1 NUIT EN TRANSIT. Assez bruyant jusqu’à 23h en semaine et tôt le matin également, les arbres et la distance ne réduisent pas tellement le bruit. Le terrain est relativement plat, pas besoin de cales. Plusieurs poubelles. J’ai passé une bonne nuit seul sur le spot.
Quite a loud place and also a bit spooky during the night. You can hear the cars, its very dark and unfortunately its a bit dirty. Why don’t you take your trash with you?
Recommended! Lovely, level, spacious, quiet spot with nice view over fields. I spend the night there alone. Minimal noise from road at night. Great walking paths through the surrounding fields.
Really good spot to park up for the night. Hardly any traffic on the adjacent road and I saw no one else come into the layby.

Stayed here one Thursday night. Very quiet apart from the rodents/wildlife scurrying around in the wee hours. Lots of bins for recycling. Stayed one night and left early so no chance to explore the area
Big area for lots of vehicles. Nice and quiet tucked away. Good phone reception. Just a shame people don’t know how to use bins! But exactly what i needed.
Stayed here overnight. No rubbish, bins available. Very quiet over night with no noticeable road noise, picked up slightly from 7am but nothing major. Would use again.
Good one night park up although some rubbish on the ground around the main bins. A couple of walks direct from park up across fields to Tilbrook village for dog owners was a plus. Very quiet after 8:30ish and heard owls and Muntjac deer calling. Will use again.
Stayed here before and after a track day at Bedford autodrome. Plenty of space and ideal for van with car transporter as can drive through without need for turning. Quiet country location. Two sets of bins. Clean tidy and felt safe.
Stayed on 2 nights. Some road noise but far enough back from the B road to be quiet after 8pm. Bins provided although I picked up a couple of rogue items from the ground and popped them in one of the bins. There were 2 other vans using the lay-by and respected the distance and one another’s personal space. Kimbolton village a short drive away which has a post office and convenience store
Stayed here last night nice quiet spot off the road there was two other vans which stayed the night as well there’s a couple of bins as well.
Great spot! Lots of room for vans. Very quiet at night, can just about hear the road in the morning. Stopped on a Thursday night, only Van here, no disturbances.

Good spot for campers of any size. Level parking although need to be a little wary of potholes when driving in and out. Not much noise from the road thanks to vegetation in the way and didn't disturb sleep at all. 2 other campers spent the night at the same time but still plenty of room. Didn't spot any discarded rubbish and there were 2 decent-sized bins. Great find!
A bit of a strange lay-by/road. 3 bins. Levels are not too bad. Separation from road is good with dense trees etc to dampen noise. Not used by HGVs. It is technically a small road as there is an entrance to farm buildings. EE reception good. Vodafone reception good. 3 network with portable antenna placed on roof of van - good. Main road (the A6) is not especially busy. Views of fields and walks. Pub 0.7 miles away. When you think of lay-by parking, this is NOT your typical lay-by whatsoever.
Great, quiet stopover in this layby last night, just one other considerate (of course!) camper. Separated general/recycling waste bins and a footpath for a good circular dogwalk into Tilbrook and back.
Highly recommend. Lovely quiet spot. Perfect for a night stop over. We stayed beginning of July 2022 and went for a nice walk round the farmers field. Great find
I recommend this as a stopover. I arrived just before midnight - one other camper and I had it to ourselves. Trees form a natural barrier to the road, which was quiet at night anyway. Flat, leafy, spacious, quiet & free.
The large parking area is in fact an old disused road that has been bypassed. Free parking, council owned with no facilities other than waste bins. Well away from the busy main road.
