overnighted here for mtb trails. £10 via Ringo. flat , quiet, and of course right by the trails. a great facility.

romastone06/04/2025Stayed overnight and payed via RingGo. Car park was fairly busy during the day but was own our own after 5pm. Another van appeared much later in the evening. Very quiet area and nice walks in the forest. Some diversions on the walks due to aftermath of Storm Eowyn. Cafe at the other car park open during the day.
CampervanFeast03/04/2025Great spot, very quiet and night. No facilities but perfect if you’re self contained. Great walks and cycle tracks. Some coming and going as it’s popular with walkers and cyclists . Important to take all your rubbish with you and not to leave a mess - that way they’ll keep the scheme running and hopefully others will follow. Just pay on the Ringgo app.

Stayed here last night and it was very peaceful. I’m travelling in a mwb sprinter and it was great access with good parking spots. Being a weekend it was busy with cars off walking during the day. I had full signal on Vodafone. There is no bins or facilities. Lovely walks by the river and through the forest. Would recommend.

very quiet with good forest walks and numerous cycle trails. You can camp overnight using the Ringo app, cost £7.00 (6:00 pm - 10:00am). 4g with Vodafone or coin machine available if you have no internet. I would recommend for a peaceful night's sleep with wonderful views.

A decent stop over for the night. Overnight camping permitted at the cost of £7.40 Access to a few nice walks in the Forrest. We were the only camper for the night which is usually nice but in a Forrest was quite creepy, especially if staying alone. That being said, a wonderful location, very peaceful night, recommend.

Total midgey fest - They were fine in the day but came out about 7pm and unbearable. we had to abandon and find another spot. Avoid is midge season

Clean and quiet spot! Good mobile service. Couple good walks. There is a shower in the cafe, which is a little ways back on the road. Cafe appears to be closed on Mondays.
chalkstorm16/02/2024Great quiet, dark stopover. No reception in Three or EE but O2 did have data. Don't get this mixed up with the car park near the cafe as you cannot park there. As expected, excellent bike trails!

Lovely stopover spot. Room officially for 8 motorhomes or campervans. Price is now £8 per night (couldn't see how to edit that on the listing). You will need coins for ticket machine - no card facilities.

Good parking. Easy to get flat. Cafe/bike shop closed in Oct (even half term). You need coins for the machine (£6)

Overnighted on 26/09/21. Great overnight spot. In rear car park further on into forest from bike shop/café. Café good range of food/drinks. Quiet, with about 5 other motorhomes.

Calm night,very quiet,overnight is 6£. we dont know if somebody control it but fine is 50£. For dog walkers and cyclists nice. No facility here,no bins.

Arrived here very late (11.40pm) there were about 6 other campervans but there was plenty of room for us. Gets very busy from about 8am with dog walkers and cyclists. Have to pay 6£ for overnight stay
VanTiki07/05/2021Large flat car park in lovely setting close to a river. Quiet at night, just me and two other vans staying. Locals walking dogs until about 8pm and after 8am. Forestry & Land Scotland are trialling their Stay the Night scheme again this year. This is one of the Forestry car parks that requires payment for staying overnight, a very reasonable £6, clear instructions by the pay machine - cash only. Would stay again.
