(CT21 4NB) West Hythe - Royal Military Road

Very quiet, you can only hear the frogs at night. Park, as others have said before, on the right side (away from the street). Was completely alone and felt safe (very nice neighbourhood! -warning- height restriction 2meters! There are even bins and tables there (picnic area). Perfect to catch the ferry in dover (20min) in the morning.

Hervorragend ruhige Nacht gehabt! Der Platz ist wunderbar sauber und bietet sogar Rastplätze (Tisch mit Bänken). Wir sind sehr spät angereist aber waren die Einzigen bis morgens um 8 Uhr.

attention la dernière portion de route est etroit et il n'y a pas de passing place pour se croiser. attention hauteur limitée à 2 m par une barre en bois.

Sehr schöner Platz. Stehen hier auch wegen der Fähre morgen früh. Die vier Kilometer von der Autobahn lohnen sich. Schön mit den quakenden Fröschen einzuschlafen.

Parking au calme, le long d'un canal et d'une route peu passante. Gratuit de 18h à 8h du matin. Pub super sympa (Unit 1) de l'autre côté de la route.

what's not to love? quiet, close to the motorway(5 mins) but only suitable for smallish vans. good signal and walks on the doorstep.

Parking, 22 places, limite de hauteur à 2 mètres. Deux tables de picnic et poubelle. Randonnée et promenade de chiens. Le pub à côté ferme à 21h, parfait pour un picnic ou une nuit au calme. Bon Trip à Tous !!

Wie schon beschrieben,sehr guter Platz zum Übernachten, relativ leise Fahrzeuge nur bis 2m Höhe . Parkgebühren nur zwischen 8am und 6pm.

As of May 2023. Parking is no longer free, there is a meter on site and app for payment. High restrictions state 2m. There is no parking outside of the hight restriction anymore, they have gated off the old space opposite. The only space outside now has double yellow lines and is there for the services to park so they can empty the bins etc.

We parked up and went for some food and a drink at unit 1 over the road and stayed the night in our VW undisturbed (it was just us in the car park all night) the road was quiet and couple of cars started showing up around 8am.

Indeed 2m barrier. not as calm as we would have hoped: the road is passing just a few metres from the left end of the parking and is noisy until midnight, and starting around 6am... plus occasional cars/truck at night. Park on the right side of the parking !

2 metre height restriction into the car park. limited parking on the access road.

Access road states min 6’6’’ although we were fine at 8ft when approaching from West Hythe. The other way also had a 14% hill. We parking at the far corner by the gate which was in constant use all night and early in the morning. Council came to empty bins and dig up the carpark in the early morning, and made comments about the van.

Great place to stay. Quiet all night. We parked motorhome close the trees having a bit more of privacy. Recommended highly

A nice quiet spot. Only a few cars drove by on the road during the night, but the parking spots are far enough away so they were not too loud. There is a height restricted car park next to the unrestricted spots, which got busy in the morning, but no trouble from anybody. Would stay again.

Great little stop for an overnight stay. 3 spots for a van, no height restrictions.very quiet. Great little pub/microbrewery called Unit 1 , about a 2 minute walk away which was a nice surprise.
