Spot on stop over. Was able to empty grey and black waste. Toilet block although smelly were quite clean. Only MH using the parking. Is next to the railway but as it was Saturday night last train wasn’t particularly late and a Sunday service. Prince Wales pub fantastic food and hospitable. Locals were nice and friendly.

shame about this, machine took our money but didnt deliver fresh water, plus a detour to use the facility. dissapointed.

  • 5/5

Perfect if you want a town stopover with beach and castle, bars shops & restaurants. Wish more towns and councils had these. Does sit beside a train line but they don’t run late and we had a very quiet night here.

  • 5/5

Great facilities, 2 minute walk to the high Street. Multiple places to eat and drink, lots of small shops to browse in. Criccieth castle is easily accessible as is Criccieth beach. Didn't stay overnight so can't advise how noisy it might be.

Car park next to railway line. Well laid out with space between vans. Water and waste facilities, although the coin box on the water tap was full so not usable. Drains still usable though. Quiet night stay. Indian restaurant short distance away. Thank you to the Town Council!

Arrived here midday to find it closed. The fun fair had taken over. Moved onto Pwllheli aire instead.

  • 1/5

Far too expensive....Can us a campsite with security and services for less

  • 2/5

A great idea, but: The parking is way too expensive for 4pm to 10am. The fresh water cost more. The toilets are locked overnight (6pm to 9am) The car park is busy through the night, the first train is 6am, and finally... The locals are unaware of the overnight agreement. Lots stood, shouting that overnight parking wasn't allowed, hands on hips and staring at us, very angry. Not worth it!

This was a perfect stop. Just one train went through overnight (that I heard). The facilities work well (although the grey water drain could do with de-clogging - the water overflowed and went down the adjacent manhole cover; I have let the council know). We managed to fill out water from 10%, so about 90 litres in the 10 minutes for £3.

Used this stop at the weekend, great find and the Prince of Wales pub was great for food and just across the road

You can also use the Pay By Phone App to pay for the parking, so worth downloading before you get there, in case the machine isn't working. Everything open as at 19.3.25, no signs on toilets about night time closures, so not sure if they do, and they were very clean. There is cheap day time parking nearby along the Esplanade, £2.20 for four hours, in case you want to get to Criccieth earlier.

  • 5/5

Expensive for what it is but not much else if you want to stay in Criccieth. Castle is lit up at night and the beach is a short walk. Quiet night and a nice pub at the Prince of Wales close by.

  • 5/5

First time used. Quiet car park. The idea is you have to be self contained but with facilities. Its ok for the night

  • 3/5

We wanted to stay here, however, the pay and disoplay machine didn’t work and when we went to investigate further the toilets were locked (we arrived 6pm ish). great concept, lots of space to turn/ park etc, but let down by the facilities - or lack of open ones!

Great little stop over, except for the price. £16.50 should be for a 24 hr period. Instead it’s just for the hours 16:00 - 10:00 meaning you have to pay another £5.50 to cover the 8 hrs during the day. That makes £22 in total for one day, you can get a proper campsite for that which includes a nice view and hot showers. A very good effort and I hope other areas take notice.

Waste/Grey water dump is available but toilet/black is closed up and no fresh water either, seems these have not been put in use yet

  • 2/5

Stayed 1 night, wouldn't stay again for the price it really isn't worth it, £16.50 from 4pm-10am you then have to pay for the day aswell. Very poorly lit, cars in and out late toilets are closed for renovation. Water/waste disposal costs £3 only positive in my opinion Great thing the council are trying to do but if they charge so much then they should really at least provide bins and better light

Blij dat er zulke plekken in Wales komen. Ruim, in het centrum en de nodige faciliteiten.

  • 4/5

ideal for a day or two in Criccieth. easy walk to the beach and shops. 8 level pitches with fresh water facilities (£3 for 10 mins), free grey and black waste disposal. £16.50 is a little steep but at least Wales are now starting to provide aires (Arosfans) for us to use. Tir Y Mor is a lovely cafe only 50 yards away that does a large selection of food, welsh breakfast was really nice

  • 5/5

lovely view of the castle, occasionally train only 5 min walk to beach some nice shops. brilliant this stop has been put on.

Da iawn Cyngor Gwynedd yn dangos y Ffordd ar Arhosfan. Lle hwylus i aros noson rownd gornel o caffi tir a môr, a'r traeth. Dau cam i dal y tren. Wedi aros noson a cael trên i Aberystwyth. Siwrna hyfryd. Eight long level bays well spaced. Convenient position round the corner from Tir a Môr café and the beach. Also close to the train station for a scenic strip up or down the coast. Recommended

Got my money but didn't work.

  • 3/5

5 stars to the local council for providing this facility! However -Expensive.No bins, pay extra for water, next to a trainline. First train 0608 and when we stayed the lights did not work in the very old toilet block so take a torch. On a positive the bays are level and very long.
