No drones. No boy racers. Right in the centre of town next to the castle. £6.80 for the night. We risked taking up two bays and got lucky but there are overhangs available (all taken when we arrived). We double checked the signage and there are definitely no overnight restrictions here.
Boy racers with aftermarket exhausts reving engine and getting up to who Noe’s what on mobiles. Also a very noisy pub right on top of the car park. Do yourself a favour and find somewhere else.. Too late for us now so we will just have to endure.
Lovely spot, the castle is well worth the £10 entrance and Chepstow is a nice town to visit. We got in about 10pm and weirdly there was someone flying a drone over the car park and adjoining roads for about half an hour, not sure if this is a regular occurrence.
Great place to stop, I got there around 1500 on a Friday and there were loads of spaces. Toilets close overnight but there is a lovely pub next door. Cheap as chips and right next to the trails
good spacious car park for smaller cars with reasonable prices. toilet closed overnight, opens again around 9 (in time for the castle opening 30 mins later I assume). great food options nearby and pretty quiet after 10~, would gladly sleep again and Chepstow and castle are lovely to visit.
genuinely seamless place to park, plenty of room. arrived just after 6 and there was a few bigger vans at the back, a few small caddy ones like ours a little closer forward. the view of the castle was amazing to wake up to. we went to the pub in the evening, £7 for two drinks can’t be mad! toilets were clean to use in there. wifi didn’t stretch to us but O2 signal was fine! deffo use again.
I would not recommend attempting this in a motorhome, as no overhang areas and access roads also say no lorries. Motorhomes have parked here but extend into the car park as there are no rear overhang areas. So the vehicle would not be fully within lines and would cause access restrictions to others. No overnight parking note came up when selected this carpark. Charges have increased slightly.
Great little car park right next to the castle. Toilet block closes at 6pm but there is a really great pub on the corner of the carpark called the three Tonns. They have a lovely vibe and free WiFi that reaches the car park! It was free to park from 6pm to 8am and parking attendants were out 1 minute to 8. New fees come into place on 17th April and there will be charges at all times. Great stop.
Perfect location for visiting town & castle. Plenty of room & slightly longer bays at rear of car park.
Great car park overnight. £4.80 for 24 hours. toilet block. very close to centre. car park right next to castle. we didn't but I am sure it is well worth visiting. Good dog walking. very interesting town, very friendly with good pubs and eateries.
Parkplatz direkt am Chepstow Castle, ab 22 Uhr ruhig. Sehr gutes 4G Internet mit „three“. Platzverfügbarkeit nach Fahrzeuglänge. Wir haben mit unserem 7m Crafter hinten in einer Ecke geparkt und konnten den Platz hinter uns nutzen. Achten sie darauf, dass die Reifen sich innerhalb der Parklinien befinden müssen.
We were there Bank Holiday. Live show going on in the Castle. Super busy. We are under 6 m so was fine. Could not get any bigger in.
Nice and quiet. Pub with good choice of beer next door. Toilets in car park shut at 5:30pm
Stayed one night, the car park weight restrictions apply to hgvs. quite night. the car park has lots of cars over night as I believe residents use it too.. beautiful walks nearby.
We parked here today (Sunday) and you get 2 hours free parking then only need to pay £1 for the rest of the day! we had a picnic next to the castle
Parkingplaats bij toeristische info en kasteel. 4,40 £/24h. Er staat nergens op het bord met prijzen dat je er niet mag overnachten. Er een nacht gestaan, 's avonds nog wat lawaai door mensen die van de pub kwamen en er ook geparkeerd stonden, maar erna rustige nacht. Openbaar toilet, maar wel gesloten 's avonds en 's nachts. Startpunt/eindpunt van wye valley walk.
Nous n'avons pas passé la nuit mais 2 camping-cars à côté semble l'avoir fait. D'après l'office de tourisme, ils n'ont pas le droit mais certains le font. C'est 4,40 £ pour 24h
Ce qui est dit précédemment est toujours vrai pour la nuit de vendredi mais nous avons passé aussi la nuit de samedi soir où c'est le lieu de rendez-vous des jeunes avec voitures et musique donc ne pas se garer au fond du parking les samedi soirs

En plein centre ville, ce parking grand, ombragé et tranquille a été une super étape. On a apprécié la gratuité dès 17h ainsi que de pouvoir utiliser des toilettes. L'office du tourisme est sur place. Pas besoin d'aller le chercher bien loin. La ville et les bords de la rivière Wye méritent qu'on s'y attarde. Nous étions de passage le 18 octobre 2016.
Highly recommended. Lots of nice bars and restaurants around.
