This car park is owned by the slip way public house, we stayed 06 july 2020 and the landlord was happy for me to share the location for motorhome stop overs if you buy a couple of beers

Carpark very mucky, We went into the pub, registered our van, asked for a menu and got a very grumpy response. We found the pub very unwelcoming, so we left, moved on somewhere else. On the plus side it's by the canal and pleasant walks I would imagine.
Friendly pub and good canal boat community. Canal boat tours from the pub and an easy 15 minute walk into Burscough. We stayed 4 nights as visiting a friend and all was good if you bought a few beers. You need to register your vehicle registration at the bar for each night you stay.
We arrived in the dark & hadn’t called ahead. Car park has cameras & says campers welcome but you need to register at the pub for parking. Penalty notice was clearly labelled at £100. There were vehicles in the car park but the pub looked derelict. After returning the following day in daylight we could see the actual pub is behind the derelict building, even though it had the name of the pub on it
Fantastic motorhome stop. Excellent pub, kids play area and food was fab. Very quiet nights sleep just buy a drink and register the reg number. Would highly recommend.

Pub opened at 12, and last orders for meals was 5pm. Once you have put your van registration number in the tablet on the bar you can park for free for up to 24 hrs, longer can be negotiated. Lovely tow path walks. From the Slipway pub we also took a narrow boat ride with afternoon tea - lovely afternoon, and overnight park up.
Great pub park up. Level, lovely and quiet and friendly pub. You need to type in your reg on the tablet on the bar to get free parking (reg recognition camera) so make sure you arrive when pub is open (we arrived 90 minutes before google said it shut, and they were just about to close!). Pub is closed on Mondays but alterative pub for food 5 mins along canal.
Stop here last night after watching Macclesfield FC against Burscough FC. Lovely pub with an excellent menu & the food was amazing. Will definitely be back.
A great place for a stopover. Next to pub which is next canal. Pubs new owners were very friendly. Food looked very appetising and on the night we visited there was some great live music. We were there on a very stormy November with no problems but would imagine its a great place to be on a summers evening. We'll be back.

Stayed overnight, the pub was closed as it was changing hands. No indication or signs that the car park belongs to the pub, seems to be a public car park with no parking restrictions. A few cars pulled up after dark playing loud music and people getting in and out, so advise parking away from the steps nearest the canal bank, they seem to like parking there. Apart from that a quiet night.
Quiet with nice views of the canal. One other camper there. Really enjoyed this place.
