Nice large, levelled carpark. But you have to arrive (probably) until 17:30 if you want to use facilities (you have to check in at the visitor centre - you'll get an access card or smthg). We arrived at 18:45 and the centre was closed (no opening timetable).You can pay for the day parking via automat (4£) and the barrier let us out at around 20:00.Refill water hose free to use at the top carpark.

Beautiful view of the Falkirk wheel. Get there early to watch it in action if you can. parking lot is quite far from amenities but after it's closed you can drive down and get closer. Bathroom and toilets are heated and clean.

Für abends zum schauen und wenn man evtl. ein bisschen Marine-begeistert ist durchaus empfehlenswert. Ankunft vor 17:30 sonst wegen fehlender Sanitäranlagen unsinnig. Auch Entsorgung nicht ideal. Am Besten fährt man Abends mit dem Wohnmobil runter, dann hat man eine Chance zu parken und Toilettenkassete (Grauwasser per Eimer theoretisch) zu entsorgen. Aber für kurzen Klobesuch am Abend zu weit.

Great car park, payable at the visitors centre. Fabulous views over the wheel. Fresh water and toilets in the centre. Suggest you stay here and walk/cycle to The Kelpies as much nicer.

Arrêt pour la nuit. Effectivement les sanitaires sont loin du parking, dur dur d’emmener sa cassette des toilettes jusque là bas ! Pas de possibilité de vider les eaux grises. Nuit tranquille.

Der Begriff „Stellplatz“ ist hier leider verfehlt. Es ist ein Parkplatz mit etwas Platz zwischen den Campern, aber sämtliche Einrichtungen (Toiletten, Duschen, Chemie WC Entsorgung) sind an die 500 Meter weit den Berg runter zwischen den ganzen Besuchern. Wer also nicht autark ist, stellt sich lieber auf lange Wege ein. Waschmaschine/Trockner kosten je 3€ extra, auch beim Besucher-WC. Dafür 18 £.

Wer hier nicht übernachten möchte und nur ein Tagesticket hat, bekommt trotzdem Wasser und kann seine Chemietoilette entleeren. Das Wasser ist auf dem Stellplatz hinten links. Die Entleerung ist unten am Wheel im Facility-Gebäude. Einfach jemanden mit Schlüssel fragen, es gibt immer nette Leute :-)

We arrived at 3am. Easy to find and park. Quiet night sleep. Great to visit the wheel plus cafe to get a breakfast. Did not have to pay to walk around the wheel well worth a visit. Yes would park here again

Super halte. Le lieu est étonnant! Attention si vous voulez avoir accès aux "services" (douche, lave-linge/sèche-linge, etc...), il faut se présenter à l'accueil avant 17h30 pour avoir les codes d'accès pour la soirée/nuit. Sanitaires très propres avec des douches confortables. 18 £ /nuit tout compris. Très calme la nuit car que des campings cars autour de nous.

Een prachtige camperplaats op een unieke lokatie en met prachtig sanitair. Helaas is er geen enkele gelegenheid om de accu van de e-bike op te laden! Het is hun policy om geen stopcontact ter beschikking te stellen aan de gasten……..vreemd!

Wir verbrachten eine zauberhafte ruhige Nacht mit Blick auf das Wheel im Sonnenuntergang. Anmeldung bis 17.30Uhr (im Sommer), dann gibt's den Zugang zu Toiletten&Duschen für 18£/Nacht alles inklusive. Waschmaschine und Trockner vorhanden, sehr sauber, 3£ pro Ladung. Fanden wir klasse und preisgünstig, deswegen gibt's von uns 5 Sterne. Frischwasser tanken ist am Parkplatz direkt möglich.Kein Grauw

This is a car park with water and bins. The elsan is in the main area, you can drive down and park whilst you empty the cassette. You just get a card from the shop to access the elsan point. £20 deposit is required. NO GREY WASTE disposal. £18 per night, pay in the shop. Lovely walks from the car park.

Wir sind nach Übernahme des Womo dort hingekommen..Kein Strom aber Zugang zu WC/ Dusche. Kann in Ruhe auspacken,einräumen und hat die Möglichkeit zum spazieren oder die Ferien mit einem Intressanten Konstrukt zu starten.

Der Platz ist sehr schön. Aber wer nur die Toilette entleeren möchte, ohne hier zu übernachten muss den kompletten Tagespreis bezahlen (Juni 2025 18GBP).

Man muss vor Schließung der Rezeption da sein, wer später kommt kann zwar übernachten aber bekommt keinen Strom und nicht die Karte für die sanitären Anlagen. Toiletten und duschen sehr sauber. Wir haben nur 1 Nacht dort gestanden, es war sehr ruhig und ausreichend Platz.

Der Ort ist gut für eine Nacht. Wer nicht vor dem Schließen der Rezeption angekommen ist, kann weder bezahlen, noch die Toiletten nutzen. Es ist keine Nutzung von Strom möglich.

Genoten van het civiel technisch bouwwerk. Daar ben je zo paar uur door geboeid. Verder zijn er goede en nette toiletten, een douche, zwartwater lozing. Vanaf de parkeerplaats leuke wandelingen langs de kanalen mogelijk. Ook langs het kanaal van Glasgow naar Edinburgh. Zorg dat je op tijd bent om in te checken (voor 16 uur), dan kun je betalen en krijg je code en pasje voor de voorzieningen.

Wij hebben 2 nachten op plek 15 gestaan. Prachtig uitzicht op de Falkirk Wheel. Voor £18 pond per nacht en een borg van £20 mag je gebruik maken van de badkamers. Er is ook een wasmachine en je kunt het toilet legen. Rustige en ruime plek. Verder is het mogelijk om langs de kanalen te fietsen naar bijv. The Kelpies/ tunnels/ Falkirk/ Aquaduct. 2 dagen op deze plek is eigenlijk te kort.

Stayed last night on the eve of the 23rd year Anniversary. Note Waterways Board keys now not used on bathrooms so need to get card with key code from reception when open to access. Was advised may have to leave by 10am due to parking spaces needed for Anniversary but thankfully let us stay put as booked on wheel at 1pm. Fun entertainment laid on all day. Facilities clean and functioning. Thanks

Entleeren der Chemietoilette nur möglich wenn man übernachtet bzw für die Übernachtung zahlt (18,- £)... Tagesparken 4,-£

Voor de sleutel van sanitair en legen toiletcassette beneden áchter de slagboom moet £18 worden betaald, ook als je niet wilt overnachten. Anders krijg je de sleutel niet. Wat wel kan, is overdag parkeren voor €4 en dan kun je inderdaad gebruik maken van water op bovenste parkeerdeck. Ik ben weer weggegaan.

Tagsüber £4,- , geräumige Plätze mit Aussicht für Wohnmobile und ein schönes Sanitärgebäude mit warmer Dusche ( chem. Toilette auch dort) beim Besucherzentrum. Danke! Toll! Wasser gibt’s oben am Parkplatz. Wir waren nur tagsüber da, um das Schiffshebewerk zu sehen. Beeindruckend! Übernachtung £18,-

Für uns mehr als ausreichend, kamen gegen 12 uhr an und hatten viel platz. Spontan entschieden hierzubleiben. Du und WC sind zwar 250 m vom Stellplatz entfernt aber sauber. Wir kommen wieder. Keine Störungen am Abend oder in der nacht.

Easy to find, loads of room. Really lovely to look out of the window and see the Wheel! We arrived after 5:30pm so didn't make use of the facilities (still paid the following morning). A couple of local youths drove in and around for a short time. Nothing extravagant and quiet as soon as the sun went down tbh. Didn't put us off, or anyone else. Would stay again.

This is potentially a lovely park up, very clean facilities and run by good people, the only problem is that after 4pm it is left unstaffed and the barriers are left raised so the local balaclava’d off road bikers turn up and ride around the site plus boy racers with loud exhausts use the car park as a play ground. Police don’t seem to do anything sadly

From their website: Please note that until spring 2025 our facilities block (elsan, toilets, showers and laundry areas) will be unavailable due to refurbishment works. To reflect this we have lowered our overnight charge to £5 until works are completed.

Stopped here this morning to empty black waste, and can report that all facilities (apart from fresh water tap) are currently closed for refurbishment. As such, it's just a tarmac pitch, fresh water tap, and waste bins for the time being. The canal basin is also drained for annual inspection and maintenance.

Stayed here Friday night (10/01/25) arrived after 1530 so the visitor centre wasn't open to pay the £5 fee and to get the toilet key. There was only 1 other motorhome in the car park. we had a spectacular view over the wheel. it was clean and very quiet and it was an enjoyable night stay. we headed down to the visitor centre in the morning, it was closed for staff safety, so we didn't pay the £5

Great little stop over on our way back down south, the water tap as mentioned is an oversize thread so advise making sure you have the correct connector before arriving. Peaceful great location with a great view of the area. We would definitely stop here again if needed

Amazing nice and quiet with only three units (December 4th). BWB key for toilets / shower if you don’t have one Visitor shop will lend for £20 deposit. Absolutely no noise, no night time visitors, few dog walkers early on.

Great spot, but needs some TLC. As others have said £20 deposit gets you the key for 24h access to the facilities,. (Showers, toilets, black water , and washer/dryer) The washer/dryer £3 each are small so don’t expect to wash 2 week’s worth of clothes like we did. Showers are free, with good pressure with wand. The staff told us there was a big revamp coming in Jan/Feb 2025.

Good spot near the Falkirk Wheel. At night it is lighted. Spot was plain. But as it is a popular place, someone knocked on our window which made us feel unsafe for the rest of the night. The shower was not lockable which was uncomfortable but it was relatively clean. Shower and toilets are locked you need to ask for the key every time you want to use them. At night nobody is there to ask.

Noche tranquila. 20 minutos de parking gratis, 3.50£ el dia sin pernocta o 15£ el día y la noche (se paga en el centro de visitantes). Solo te dejan vaciar si pagas la pernocta. Para vaciar aguas negras te piden 20£ de fianza en efectivo por la llave (una BWB estandar), nosotros como no teníamos dejamos un DNI. Para llenar agua no es necesario llave, el grifo está en el aparcamiento

The location is excellent and is quiet overnight, the price is fair, but there are quite a few negatives :- the water fill up point has an oversized connection, the amenities were very clean, but note the following. Washing machine broken, 1 toilet out of service, 1 shower out of service, several door locks broken so couldn't lock the doors. Also the breakfast left a lot to be desired.

We arrived at 2pm and only 2 other motorhomes were parked up. The barriers are also open all night so people were coming in at all hours filling up water and running about the place. The police came around 2am. The view was nice but the surroundings weren’t. The facilities were not working either. We complained in the morning and the manager was VERY friendly and helpful. Great staff!

Great location, popular with lots of motorhomes. £15 for 24 hours. Water tap is a large size so we had to refill with a canister. To access showers, toilets & black waste you have to get a key from the visitor centre. This requires a £20 deposit (CASH ONLY) which they refund before you leave. Bins available. No grey waste disposal.

Nous n’avons fait qu’aller voir la roue. Les services sont réservés aux personnes restant la nuit. Pas de possibilité même en payant. Sauf plein d’eau car robinet sur le parking.

All was going well until I tried to fill up with fresh water. Non standard tap so be warned. Friendly staff on site but could not help and stated they were aware of the issue and it's been like that since the site opened but nothing's been done to remedy the issue. Otherwise lovely site and good value apart from the mentioned..Daisy..

Excellent stop over before heading North for the NC500. Very quiet night and parking spot 8 is very flat ?

The Wheel is a great place to visit and, although we didn’t stay overnight here ( we paid to stay at the nearby Kelpies (amazing!), we did take the boat ride on the Wheel, which was well worth it and if you can, try to get to the front of the boat as the views from the top of the Wheel when the boat turns around and returns through the tunnel will be well with it on a clear day!

Brilliant stopover, you get a motorhome bay for 24hrs, so plenty of room, dont feel like where parked close together. The only minor bit, it’s a steep hill down to centre, which if disabled is a bit of a challenge, especially as elsan point there! Note: they do have 4 bays with new electric hook ups, however clearly new and locked off. They advertise “no electricity”. But looks like maybe soon?

Solo nos detuvimos a reponer agua y a visitar la rueda. Cabe decir que la salida de agua no tiene adaptador y tuvimos que rellenar con bidones. Al salir no nos cobraron, imaginamos que fue por poco tiempo de estancia.

Nice place to stay over night, still just £15 to pay for 24 hours, toilets not very modern but usable, also dump of the black and grey water available, as well as fresh water tap and rubbish bins, I would recommend.

Super Parkplatz, Tagsüber 3,5 £ auch für WoMo, für Overnight 15£. Wer vor 10 Uhr kommt muss die Parkgebühr innen an der Kasse bezahlen.

Super ruhige Nacht gehabt, Duschschlüssel gegen Depot von 20£ erhalten. Sanitäranlagen etwas in die Jahre gekommen, fürs Duschen reicht es allemal. Overnight Parking 15£ dann noch 15£ fürs Parkieren bezahlt, deshalb 2 Sterne Abzug.

What a great location!! Deduct the day parking rate and this is actually £11.50 with access to very nice showers and toilets. Great facilities at the wheel and a 4 mile cycle ride to the Kelpies. Just be aware of the shop opening times if you want to access the shower. £20 deposit for the key and getting the deposit back, you have to wait until the shop opens.

Wie üblich an Sehenswürdigkeiten, ist auch dieser Stellplatz etwas teurer aber dennoch gut besucht. Frischwasser vorhanden. Entsorgung suchen wir noch.

We arrived at 21:30, and the shower was closed (you need to be here before 6pm, and you get a key to the shower). The tap has a weird connection that make it impossible to fill in your fresh water tank. There were more campers with the same problem. No service for grey water. Only the wc tank after walking 100 mts with the tank. No electric power included. And the washing machine was broken.

Nice and peaceful. £15 and you get 10%your breakfast in the cafe. access to the kids play area and around the wheel after hours plus free parking for the entire next day on site so no rush to get up and leave.

Haven’t stayed for a while but every time is perfect. Loads of room, pretty flat and easy access. £15 is a bargain and when the crowds leave you can walk around the wheel at peace. Great photos at night when it’s lit up. Highly recommend.

Very easy to use card payment. A £20 cash deposit required for shower key - they took driving licence as didn't have cash and no ATM. Lovely walk along the canal towpath - 4 miles to The Kelpies. Recommend.

Perfect 1 night stop over whilst travelling Scotland. 24/7 Showers and toilets included in cost, a little walk from parked area. Booked a boat ride on the Falkirk wheel for the next morning, advisable to book this in advance as gets busy. Had a nice Scottish breakfast and a voucher you get when parking gives you 10% off in the on-site cafe.

Policy doesn't allow for sleeping in cars, only motorhomes.

Sehr großer Parkplatz direkt bei Falkirk Wheel. Es sind 22 Stellplätze für Wohnmobile vorhanden. Die Übernachtung wird mit 15 Pfund berechnet. Dafür bekommt man aber einen Schlüssel für die Duschen und Toiletten im Hafen. In der Summe ein top Stellplatz. Leider etwas abseits der Stadt gelegen. Wenn Falkirk Wheel geschlossen hat, ist dort tote Hose angesagt.

Als wir gegen 16 Uhr ankamen war schon alles voll, aber haben noch einen Platz auf dem Busparkplatz gegenüber ergattert. An der Rezeption holt man sich den Schlüssel für Toilette und Dusche. Einfach aber sauber. 15 Pfund pro Nacht, ich bin ja der Meinung 10 würden reichen, aber naja das sind wohl mittlerweile übliche Preise.

Great stop. Arrive in the morning, register as overnight van at the visitor centre, and then sit back and enjoy the Wheel! Water, and bins for rubbish in car park. Beautiful at night too! Highly recommended.

Good clean showers, water taps and rubbish disposal in the car park. Follow signs to the visitor centre when approaching as we ended up on the wrong side of the canal at first.

Wheel still not in operation. Parking free during the day until the 28th of March. Flat tarmaced area to park on. Water free and available to all vans. Rubbish bins provided at carpark. £20 deposit for key to use utility room with black waste dump, toilets, showers and washing machine (£3 per wash and £3 per dry) which you get from cafe area.

Must arrive before 1600 to pay at reception and acquire key for emptying black waste and for shower/toilet. Plenty of parking and walks beside the canal. During January 2024 many parts where closed due to maintenance.

Stayed last night, wonderful to see the wheel lit up. Parking first car park on left. 4 taps around car park as previous comments not standed size thread, Actually 1", local B&Q 10 mins away got connector with all 3 sizes for £2. Biffa bin on car park. Elsan 5 mins walk where a BWB waterways key but can for a deposit get one at tge shop. note wheel not turning until Mar 2024 for maintenance.

gut ist die Lage direkt mit Blick auf das Falkirk Wheel und den schönen Radweg immer am Wasser entlang zu den Kelpies, das wars dann aber auch schon, Bezahlung, Handling Kaution für Schlüssel (nur Cash), suboptimale V/E (man muss mit der WC Cassette einen Berg runter bis zum Jachthafen laufen z.B.), keine Beschilderung o.ä., wenn man das erste Mal kommt ist das Rätselraten pur, kein Grauwasser

Excellent place to stay overnight to visit the Falkirk Wheel. Lots to do for the children too. Cafe and visitors centre are nice, facilities are clean although a bit of a walk from the overnight carpark. £15 for the night £20 (refundable) for the facilities key. Large carpark with space for a lot of vans. Good walks along the canals too for the dogs. Kelpies are a 4mile walk along the canal.

très mal indiqué, très cher : 15£ pour les "services"... juste pour les toilettes chimiques car l'eau ne fonctionne que quand l'eau du lac est remontée donc on ne sait pas à quel moment... et pas d'eaux grises.

Toller Stellplatz für eine Nacht. Wir sind leider zu spät gekommen um uns noch den Schlüssel für die toilette und dusche zu holen. Nette andere Camper haben uns Ihren geliehen um die Toilette zu reinigen. Am nächsten Morgen ab 9:30 Schlüssel bekommen und am Wheel bezahlt. Alle super nett und wir haben uns sehr sicher und wohl gefühlt. Der weg zu den Sanitär Anlagen ca 3 Minuten.

Excellent spot to park. everything the same as the other comments. We decided to cycle to see the Kelpies lit up in the dark. 5 miles each way, mostly along the canal, but note that the swing bridge at the canal by the Falkirk wheel is closed at 8pm. you can access the main gate by bike though.

Hele mooie rustige plek met in de avond een mooie licht “show” bij het Falkirk Wheel.

Cafe closes at 3:30 pm but with keys from the visitor centre, it is possible to continue to use the toilet, shower and chem. waste facilities. The key is borrowed from the visitor centre for a 20£ deposit. Parking lot is busy in the afternoon but quiets around 6 pm.

„Nur“ ein Parkplatz, aber tolle Aussicht auf das Wheel, Spielplatz und Café beim Wheel und gute Ausgangslage für Spaziergänge. Die Duschen/WCs sind ok, aber man muss halt zur Anlage laufen (nicht weit, aber zu weit um schnell aufs Klo zu gehen:-)).

Top spot à retenir car parfait pour visiter Falkirk Wheel et les Kelpies à une petite balade à vélo. C'est 15£ la nuit, sans électricité. Il faut aller au visitor's centre pour payer et avoir la clé d'accès aux sanitaires (caution 20£). Il y a des douches et des WC, tous très propres (et les WC ont papier et savon) et un local pour vider vos toilettes. C'est un peu loin.

Es un sitio estupendo para pasar la noche, excelentes vistas. Pero no encontramos vater químico que era lo que íbamos buscando. Así que esa información habría que verificarla.

Haben eine ruhige Nacht hier verbracht. Mit einem Schlüssel, den man im Shop (bis 17:30 Uhr) unten bekommt, hat man Zugang zu Duschen, WC und Waschmaschine. Bei Übernachtung bekommt man Rabatte auf ein Frühstück im Café. Genug Platz, um mit Hunden spazieren zu gehen. Zum Teil schöne Aussicht aufs Wheel.

Die Anfahrt erfolgt über eine Schranke, hier muss ein Ticket gezogen werden. Anschl. sollte man zum Souvenir-Shop im Hebewerkcenter. Dort bezahlt man die 15 £ und erhält später dann das Ausfahrticket. Wer will nimmt sich für 20 £ Pfand den Duschschlüssel gleich mit. Am Besten rechtsseitig, hinten parken, da hat man den Besten Überblick. Der Platz, die Duschen und das WC sind Zweckmäßig.

This is a cracking place to bring the kids for a day out, lot to do, play park etc, cafe, shop, boat rides up & down the Falkirk wheel, we r staying the night in r motorhome £15 all in if u pay (£20 refundable) for toilet & showers, defo worth a visit

Teil des Fallkirk Wheels Areals, es ist der größere Parkplatz auf der linken Seite wenn man von oben kommt. Dort sind Mülleimer und Wasser. Alles nicht ausgeschildert, wir dachten wir sind falsch und haben dann im Center gefragt. Wir wollten nur Müll und Chemietoilette entsorgen, das war aber leider nicht möglich, nur mit Übernachtung. Schade! Ansonsten schön gelegen und nachts bestimmt ruhig.

Pongo 3 estrellas por falta de información. A fecha de hoy, 16-oct-2022, en la entrada al falkirk park, había un letrero de horario de 10:00-17:30. Por lo que nos hemos tenido que volver al Kelpies Park, que estábamos visitando antes. El parking de los Kelpies cierra a las 21:45h, también permite pernoctar por 7,50£, fuera del vallado, pero sin servicios.

Aire très grande mais avec benne à déchets pour travaux et plots de bornage ce jour. Borne de paiement « out of order » donc gratuit une chance pour nous. Parking calme si ce n’est les quelques voitures qui viennent tard mais rien de bien méchant. Nuit calme .

Really quiet night. No road noise and no cars driving around late at night. Made full use of showers, door locks are a bit temperamental and need some maintenance. The shower was very clean and warm. The is no longer any discount on the boat ride if staying overnight. Still a great location for a stopover.

great place to stop £15 for 24 houses £20 for shower key refundable when you take it back but cant take key back until 9.45 am bit of a pain if you want an early start in morning

perfect place for the night. very busy here in weekend with families who are there for a day out. info office very helpfull. got a large load of washing done and dried for 6 pounds. water tap close to parking area.toilets a wee walk as well as dumping station which looked grubby but we were pleased to be able to empty it. for us worth the 15.pound to stay

Een nachtje gestaan voor bezoek aan de Falkirk Wheel en de Kelpies. Rustig 's nachts, wel een plateau met behoorlijk wat wind. Indien je overnacht, meld je aan het visitor center voor sluitingstijd, na betaling ontvang je de sleutels van de toiletten (borg), douches en loosplaats chemisch toilet. Wij waren niet op de hoogte en betaalden aan de automaat en konden hier geen gebruik van maken.

Für eine Nacht Ok. Günstig gelegen. Etwas teuer für alte Sanitäranlagen und sonst nichts. Ausreichend Platz auch in der Hochsaison.

Great car park facilities £15 charge for overnight stay. Staff at Centre were welcoming and offered a key for shower and toilet facilities £20 refundable deposit. Nice walks around the surrounding woodland and river.

This is a fantastic place to stop and park up for the night. kids (3yrs and 20month) loved it as there is a play park and paddle pool. Got here late but will pay in the morning for parking.

Huge parking area. Toilet, laundry and chemical toilet facilities available, accessed by a key (£20 deposit from the visitor centre - closes 5.30pm)). Barrier was down in the morning and you need to get a QR code from the centre. Water available on the car park, but at time of visit people were washing their dogs and allowing them to drink directly from the tap so we didn't use it.

Nuestra experiencia fue un poco caótica, llegamos el sábado por la noche sobre las 21:00, y la barrera estaba abierta, a la mañana fuimos a pagar las 15£, al ir a recepción pagamos pero en ningún momento nos pidió matrícula de nuestra autocaravana, un timo y servicios no tiene ninguno no sé dónde están esos servicios que decían, solo hay varios grifos de agua y ya está.

It was quiet the night we were there which meant we parked in the top car park right next to the wheel. The view was easily worth the £15 fee. As has been said before, it’s an odd thread on the water outlets so had to fashion an adapter to fill up and the pressure was barely enough to get through our filling hose!

Good to park 4 night - £15 pay at reception. Key is £20 refundable cash deposit, to clean loos, showers, w/machine, grey water & chem point. At rear of canalside building & access is til 8pm. Water on taps at carpark BE WARNED it's 25mm thread on tap, no adaptor, larger than garden hose attachments it catches you out. Overnight parking gives you 20% off voucher for full breakfast at onsite cafe.

Just spent a great night here. Pretty quite as the boating season has not started yet. £15 for overnight but worth it. Lovely shower and toilets. All heated. Right on the canal where you can walk or cycle to see the Kelpies and stop if at several pubs for a drink. Will definitely be back.

We stayed here for our last night in Scotland. We visited The Wheel and the Kelpies before bedding down for the night. The Wheel is lit up at night and the area also has lights around the car park…. Go up the track to the canal and check out the tunnel. We didn’t use the facilities as we needed to leave first thing in the morning to head home. We slept well and it was quiet throughout the night.

We stayed here with our children in our 7.2m. Suitable for motorhomes of any size. Our hose didn’t fit the water tap which is on the large top deck car park. Friendly moho neighbour lent us a watering can. 4 other vans staying. No need to book.

Only 2 campervans when we stayed. Lots and lots of cars back and forth upto about 10.30 pm looking at the view. Lots of families picnicking until 10pm. It quietened off but we were suprised the carpark barriers were left open. showers okay and clean

Good location and good price. Pay at the visitors centre (£15 overnight parking in May 2021) all keys taken so we didn’t have access to facilities not a problem for us. Water points dotted around overnight carpark. Keep your receipt to validate prior to leaving (ANPR cameras). Only a handful of people, just a shame the group of MH who all knew each other spaced themselves out diagonally taking up the whole bottom corner meaning no one else could park by the wheel and enjoy the view- we parked near the entrance and had a good view so again not an issue for us but was for others who turned up.

Very quiet stay in April. Had a wonderful cycle along the towpath to the Kelpies. We couldn't return the key at 9am to make an early getaway so had to go back later to claim our deposit back.

Great Night stop.....arrived before 530...but no keys left so cant comment on facilities as we couldnt use them.....we didnt need to so no problem....cycled the tow path to see the Kelpies in the dark..... bridge over canal back to site closed after 8 but luckily the security guard had swung it for some boaters just as we got there so we were able to get back in that way. Left before 10 so barrier still up so didnt need to validate parking ticket in visitor centre before we left

View of the Wheel with sunset behind. Long walk along the canal to the Kelpies. Plenty of spaces. Toilets and shower very clean. Good phone signal. Waste waster disposal and coin operated laundry facilities. £15/night.

Endroit fabuleux et unique qui vaut en lui-même le détour. C’est un parking stabilisé situé au milieu d’un parc de loisir. Il faut arriver avant 20h (fermeture de la porte principale) le prix est de 15 livres la nuit et permet d’y rester le lendemain. Peu de monde le soir en général ce qui permet de profiter au calme des aires de jeux et de promenade. Le gardien sur demande (présent toute la nuit est agréable malgré son bon accent :-)) Laisse accéder aux toilettes chimiques, toilettes et cabines de douche sommaires mais propres. Sur le parking on trouve des poubelles et des points d’eau mais il n’y a pas de bornes pour l'électricité.

Staying overnight is not a problem, when it comes to facilities though you can basically only rely on the freshwater. There was no possibility to empty the grey water tank nor the toilets. Staff is very friendly and helps out as they can, however weren't so sure about the toilets and the grey water tank.

31st may 2019 update. still £15 pounds for an overnighter. gates locked at 8pm so secure. vistors centre good for coffee and food. the picture attached to this appears not to be the Falkirk wheel car park. the canal inn pub about a mile diwn the canal is a good spot for a beer.

Nice spot beside the Falkirk wheel. Quiet at night. Gates are locked at 8pm. Showers and toilets in visitore centre. Lots of walks from carpark.

Fabulous place to spend the night, right next to the wheel. Fee of £15 to be paid at the visitor's centre. For £20 cash deposit, you get a key to the marine toilets and showers. No electric, but water taps all round. You receive a poster for your windscreen to let the all night security guard know that you have permission to stay.

En fait, maintenant (10 juin 2017), c'est 15 £. Si c'est juste pour passer la nuit, il suffit d'arriver après 19h.
