Endroit très sympa pour une halte. Gary est un hôte très agréable.

Arrived here and we both got out check the best area to park. Our van (which is new to us) auto locked us out with the engine running and our phones and recovery info inside. Went to the pub for help and Debbie was absolutely brilliant. She managed to contact our recovery company and they came out about an hour later - meanwhile we sat in the pub with a pint on credit! Food was good too.

1st night in our tall Trekker (moved from a T6) 6th Dec 24. We were evacuated from Somerset due to the storm. So just drove until in a yellow zone. Gary was in the car park, he was shut and no visitors. He was extremely helpful, advised us where to park & kept an eye on us.. A rough night but felt safer for Gary being about. Beautiful location & walks, we will be back to buy a meal Thank you Gary

Sehr toller Ort, kinderfreundlich ohne Ende! Sehr netter und lustiger Wirt. Lecker Essen gab es auch noch. Fahrradtour von hier zum berühmten Steinkreis war für uns ein tolles Abenteuer.

ok ok ok, everyone is talking about Gary but unfortunately my man was not there when I came. However, Debbie, was amazing. Very kind and the hospitality was so welcoming. Told me where needed to park overnight and it was not a bother at all. Ended getting a drink while I was at it. Debbie gave me some good tips and recommendations about the surrounding of Salisbury and Stonehenge too. Thanks

Was für ein wunderbarer Ort mit Blick über ein kleines Tal und mehreren Weihern. Im Restaurant gibt es leckeres Essen die Betreiber sind ausnehmend herzlich und hilfsbereit. In dem Ort gibt es einen Weg für einen Spaziergang an den kleinen Seen mit Lehrpfad. Kostenlos, wenn man abends einkehrt im Restaurant. Besser geht's kaum!

The legend of Gary continues. The Rainbow is a great stop over. The road you park on is a good place to stop, and whilst it isn't actually on the premises, it is right at the top of the path. We will definitely be back when we are that way again.

Stopped overnight Easter weekend. Gary the pub owner really friendly and welcoming. We had an evening meal and were pleasantly surprised at the great quality food. Main courses and desserts all freshly cooked at this family run pub and very fair pricing too. Slept soundly with no disturbance on the unused old road just outside the pub. Highly recommend.

Amazing view from the pitch. Wonderful food from the pub. Probably room for 4 vans. Phone ahead and receive a very warm welcome

Very secure location and the landlord Gary couldn’t have made us feel more welcome. Food at the pub was fine. Good for a quick stop over and the view in the morning was great. Road was just quite loud. Need earplugs.

Good stop on a disused side road next to the pub. Another review site advises that the road belongs to the pub. We went in and asked about staying, no problem said the landlord. Had a drink on the terrace overlooking the lake and rolling countryside. There's a little road noise but nothing to disturb you. Would stay here again.

Great spot not too far from the A303 Stonehenge and just off the A36. No through traffic if you stick to the unused road, you don’t actually need to use the pub or it’s car park. Plenty of space for a number of carefully parked vans. Full 4g signal too. Nice little lake 5min walk away. 4 stars as 5’s are kept for those beautiful gems you see on the NC500:)

Aparcamiento en una carretera abandonada que pasa por encima del Pub. No se aparca en el aparcamiento del Pub. Carretera justo al lado, no muy molesta, pero bastante tráfico.

beautifull spot with valley view, very good and affordable food (i enjoyed a whole trout with scrimps for £15) and kind restaurantowners. The noise of the nearby A36 is OK for us. We slept well.

Great little place lovely locals Chatted when went by and got talking to other van owners. We are here and had a few drinks and enjoyed a walk around the lakes. Def be back

Excellent stop. Gary and staff are so helpful. level parking with views . it's good that motorhomers can help landlords who allow us to use car parks. by enjoying drinks or meals. as councils are curtailing our wild camping opportunities . pubs are allowing us the freedom of simple camping. let's support Gary and his fellow landlords. I'll be back .

Great stopover on lane(it’s almost a dead end so no traffic) next to rainbow on the lake pub .. fairly quiet tho close to A36 so get some road noise .. beautiful area and nature reserve to walk around too .. pub very welcoming and tasty home cooked food too .. well worth a visit for a night or more!

On route to Devon we stopped here. Met Landlord Gary who was very helpful and showed us where to park. I enjoyed a wonderful salad (see pic) and the views were fantastic. Fully recommend as a stopover

The pub landlord was very friendly and helpful. The stake and ale pie was very nice. They are working hard to make it work though this covid pandemic. 5 Stars We parked on the road by the side of the pub. There was some road noise but manageable. 3 Stars

Currently parked in their car park. The staff couldn't be more friendly, and the food was amazing! We are one of 3 motorhomes parked up now. Would definitely recommend!

Wanted to stay the night here with friends as it sounded lovely from the description. Unfortunately we were told by staff that they don't want motorhomes/campervans in the pub carpark. Instead they ask you to park on the narrow road which leads to the lake.
