Pas un endroit de beauté, mais 10 minutes à pied du château de Pontefract, un parking gratuit sans restrictions autres que le panneau "Aucune pratique de golf". Aucun service. La région est un peu agitée sur les bords mais pas trop bruyante.
Not a beauty spot but 10 mins walk to Pontefract Castle, free parking with no restrictions other than a sign saying 'No golf practice'. No services.
The area is a little rough around the edges but not too noisy.

stayed last night, 1 other car camper stayed. very quite evening. The carpark is tarmac without any pot holes. The main road is close but you can only hear a slight hum from the traffic. There is a bin, please keep it clean, felt very safe being parked here
just a car park on the edge of a playing field next to a main road. however plenty of space just no services, perfect for a 1 night sleep.
Spent Tues night here. Carpark by a good green space. Women with children playing games & picnicking. Boys with a football. Many dog walkers. 7.30 a dozen men played football. A suburban park. Car park flat tarmac. A good night's sleep apart from waking at 3.15 Police on the main road. Heard nothing, no activity, went back to sleep. Lady Balk Lane busy. But quiet at night. Good midweek.
Als Stellplatz für eine Nacht ok. Im Gegensatz zum Ferrybridge-Autobahnparkplatz, der für Camper jetzt 30£ kostet, kostenlos. Lokaler Verkehr im Wohngebiet ca. 50 m entfernt, aber akzeptabel.
Direkt neben einem Wohngebiet. Wir sind nicht über Nacht geblieben.
Slept here last night, was the only vehicle there. not much to say really, there a bin and it's flat! did the job for a quick stopover on my long journey.
Stayed last night, we were the only van , indeed vehicle, here. Middle of playing fields , traffic noise in the morning but a fine stopover - and level too. No facilities.
Car camped here for a night lots of parked cars but no other campers. the road is quiet busy in the morning, but it isn't too noisy. not bad for a quick stop over.
Not a bad spot, it's quite enough, stayed there on a Saturday night so heard a few people walking home. It's level, hard standing, no height restrictions, little bin there ha, a field if you have a dog. We stayed for one night and wanted to see the castle in the morning but it was as closed out of season! (december is when we stayed)
Spent a Friday night here 15/11/19. Some traffic noise but manageable. Highly recommend Bosphorus Bistro 20 mins walk away (beyond the castle) for Turkish and Greek food.
Perfect for an over night stop. just a carpark no toilets. Bus stop across the road into pontefract or a mile walk. chip shop at the far end of the park. Few cars on the adjacent main road but it was raining so hard all night we couldn't hear them .
