Great spot in an off-road layby. surprisingly quiet for how close it is to a fairly busy road. No facilities. 4g reception was reasonable. Space for 5 or 6 vans. It's a short walking distance to a decent pub which serves decent food and waterfall walk.
We stopped here for 1 night in my boyfriends van, layby is well set back of road. By the morning there was at least 4/5 vans/campers here. 10 minute drive into Betws-y-Coed (lovely village). We parked up about 830pm and by 11pm the road was fairly quiet, road becomes more busier around 7am but not a bother really. We had a good night sleep. No problems at all.
As far as lay-bys go, it was a great spot. Larger than most meaning you weren’t so close to the road. Parked up around 9pm and there was very little traffic noise. Great views in the morning and small, welcoming cafe about 5 minutes up the road with facilities.
I'm here now following a great nights sleep, the tragic was minimal and no beeping. No facilities so we'll have to move on soon to use the cafe. 4G coverage for plusnet
Decent spot, some traffic noise is to be expected. Someone did blast their horn going past during the night. I suspect it's the owner of the campsite down the road being a bellend.
