Great spot for an overnight stay, Great views all around and very quiet. slightly sloped but nothing major.

entouré de 3 fourgons notre hymer 7,5m a bien dormi. pas vu beaucoup de spots tranquille autorisés la nuit en écosse , quand il n’y a rien à visiter , c’est plus simple. le soir 2 trains sont passés sans les voir ! Bord de route peu passante. je recommande.

Had to double back as I missed the turn but views did not disappoint as the sunset on the mountains. Quiet, large lay by with only a few other campers.

Nice and peaceful during the night, a few cars in the evening and morning, but overhaul a nice place for a stopover.

Super Platz. Straße wenig befahren. Panorama großartig. Zumindest bei uns (Juli 2025) auch keine Midges.

Très bien, nous n'avons pas été dérangé par le bruit, c'était notre première nuit en campervan. Par contre, en tapant les coordonnées dans google, ça nous a emmené beaucoup plus loin, nous avons du faire demi tour pour revenir au bon endroit.

Good spot by the road, slightly slope, noisy in the morning, near the railway.

Lovely big open views of the surroundings and lots of birdsongs to be heard. The ground might be uneven but who complains about that! Others here did not mind it either. Really good to stop here and rest for sometime before heading on.

Hatten eine sehr ruhige Nacht! Schöner Blick über die Ebene und Berge, 2 weitere Wohnmobile waren dabei und es hätten. Noch einige andere Platz gehabt! Achtung beim ZIP Code: der führt auf den Parkplatz der Dalwhhinnie Distellerie! Einfach an dieser vorbei fahren und die nächste Abfahrt nach rechts abbiegen. Platz befindet sich anschließend nach ca 5 Minuten auf der rechten Seite

Stayed for 1 night. Amazing views for miles. The road in the daytime is fast, even though it’s meant to be on the cycle route. But after 7 it gets a lot quieter. It was very clean on our visit.

Großer Schotterplatz, schöne Aussicht. An einer Nebenstraße. Tags über viel Verkehr und Lokels geben Vollgas!!! Ab 5 Uhr ist die Ruhe vorbei. Mit dem Hund gehen ist eher schlecht, kein Weg. Am Platz viele Kackblumen und Toilettenpapier. Wir würden nicht wieder übernachten.

Convenient fine night spot, quite quiet, space for 4 motorhomes and far enough away from the A9.

Amazing view, however within 5 mins of pulling in had a local going crazy with his horn and waving arms at us. Some previous reviews have reported similar so I suspect the locals aren’t happy with campers parking here. If that doesn’t bother you then might be an ok spot. Fairly busy road through the day too.

stopover quiet little noise from traffic and trains

Great reasonable quiet place, only one other van here. Good place to stay when visiting the distillery (30 min walk max). Some cars and trains passing by, but did not bother us.

Loads of room, very scenic. Great stop off.

Toller ruhiger Platz an der alten Straße und National Cycle Rte 7 - ideal nach einem Whisky-Tasting bei der ca 2km entfernten Dalwhinnie Distillery.

Lovely scenic stopover with little traffic affecting sleep. Room for 4-5 vans. Recommended

Very quiet, barely any cars pass at night. A little bit on a slope but it’s worth it for the quietness and lovely view in the morning across the mountains. It was a bit cold compared to other locations we stayed but I’m guessing that’s because it’s higher. (No midges In mid September 5-10 degrees and rain)

Prima plek voor een nachtje. Dit was onze eerste spot in de Highlands toen we uit Edinburgh kwamen. Slapen omringd door de heuvels, heerlijk. Afhankelijk van de wind hoor je de A9 wel goed. Plek is aan een weg, ‘s nachts vrijwel geen verkeer maar toen wij aankwamen, reden er af en toen auto’s langs. Niet erg, maar het valt op in de stilte.

Prima plek. Mooi uitzicht, stil, erg donker en vlakke ondergrond (grind). Zou zeker terugkomen, vooral na whiskey-proeverij bij Dalwhinnies (2 km wandelen).

The place is cool, not gonna lie. Flat, safe, far from A9 and train. But man, don't come here in July or August. Midges everywhere. Search midge forecast from Smidge online, if it's 3 or more here, get back south to the Apiary cafe. Its a spot on P4N, free, flat, secured and you get good priced coffee in the morning with adorable people !

Quiet road with very little traffic. Could just hear the train a few times from a distance. Close to A9 so perfect for a night when driving by. There was only one other car parked here the night I stayed.

Large lay-by on minor road running somewhat parallel to A9. Enough room for approx 3 campers with a good view over the mountains. Road very quiet. Train line between this road and A9 but again far enough away that the noise is minimal. Be warned, the midges are in abundance here!

Good size spot, we arrived about 8pm and no one else there. 2 other vans turned up by 10pm. Far enough away from the A9 to not be bothered by road noise.

Great spot, can’t fault it. 5 campers here last night. Some road noise in distance but actually road we are on is quiet. We arrived late and moving on today but you could walk nearby and there is a river. No facilities, or bins, but clean and litter free. Ideally placed not far from main road and a decent amount of space. Ideal for one night. Would recommend.

De la circulation sur l’A9 non loin du spot mais cela n’empêche pas de dormir ! Vue sur les montagnes et au bord d’un pré de moutons

Lovely views of mountains, just of a B road & 5mins drive to Dalwhinnie & whisky distillery, very open & the train line is 300 yards in front, just right for a one nighter in y motorhome, lovely & peaceful

Nous avons passé cette nuit ici, un peu de bruit lié aux voitures mais pas beaucoup de passage. Les semis s’arrêtent aussi ici. Rien à signaler autrement!

Lovely quiet little spot. We were the only van here. Nice stop of traveling on the A9. Unfortunately got beeped at 5 am but we snoozed on!

Stopped here on the way back from work. Shops and fuel close by but not open late. Good phone signal. Few passing cars but quiet through the night. Few mins from the A9 but can’t hear traffic. Will use again

Stopped here for a night, there was a couple of other vans already there. Very spacious and a great spot for dark sky star gazing if you like that sort of thing.

What everyone else said. Fits 5/6 campervan or motorhomes fairly easily. Road is quiet and fairly private. It's fine for one night.

Fab location for an overnight on route to your next place. Other lay by users don’t always park the best to allow other people to stop over also.

Perfect spot to stop for the night, quiet apart from occasional trains in the distance. Simple and no fuss

Petit espace en bord de route (très peu fréquenté, loin de l'axe principal) Calme, belle vue sur les montagne aux alentours, on voit le train passer au loin durant la nuit. Aucun service, pas de poubelle, mais la beauté du lieu en fait un spot parfait pour une nuit !

Really good spot for an overnight in a motorhome.

Fantastic spot for 1 night. Quiet with unbelievably beautiful views. Had a surprise visit from the local cows in the morning when blinds were opened. No amenities but, being in the middle of the mountains, you shouldn't expect any.
