EmilieHutin10/08/2025Parfait pour une nuit, vue magnifique sur l'abbaye. Bruyant le matin en revanche. Nous sommes arrivés vers 22h30 et il y avait plus d'une dizaine de véhicules.
KevinParker09/08/2025Sign says no overnight sleeping but I asked at the cafe and they said it’s OK. Ended up staying on Castlewood Farm a proper site up the hill for £12 including water and waste disposal hard standing for 8 vans

Avontuurlijk13/08/2023Ruime parkeerplaats met niet al te schoon openbaar toilet. Mooi uitzicht op de abbey. Minpunt is de jeugd die zich er 's avonds verzameld. Overigens geen negatieve acties, maar wel erg aanwezig. Ook vroeg in de ochtend werd de parking al weer onrustig. Alles bij elkaar staan wij liever in de natuur ....

sarahmac01/09/2022Great place but no over night parking even tho you CAN park here for FREE for 60 hours!Had to go to Central carpark which is more friendly but full of boy racers, girl racers and girl drug dealers. Sat watching a white VW sealing drugs to her runner (kids on bicycles) as well as to other cars who pulled up to collect. made you feel uncomfortable.
alex-mages18/08/2022Großer Parkplatz mut viel Platz für lange Wohnmobile. Die Nacht war ruhig und gut ohne Vorkommnisse. Am Parkplatz gibt es öffentliche Toiletten und direkt am Gebäude links Frischwasser. Ausgangspunkt für verschiedene Radtouren, die grüne ist gut machbar in einer Stunde. Am Parkplatz ist ein Café mit tollem Frühstück

Für einen Stadtbesuch sehr gut geeignet. Direkt neben der Abbey. Übernachten scheinbar verboten, obwohl hier mehrere LKW parkten. Wir sind nicht über Nacht geblieben.

Good car park for visiting the town but no overnight sleeping allowed, even though you can park there for 60hrs. Nice grassy area and good views of the abbey with the river flowing nearby. Clean toilets and we did spot a tap outside the toilet block too

Spent 1 night here and 1 night in the slightly more central car park. preferred the other one. normally prefer to be more out the way but found that the boy racers use this car park. toilets also slightly nicer in central car park. couldn't find this water tap at all which was disappointing as wanted to fill up the van! otherwise all okay.

Nice spot close to town pubs and convenience store. I didn’t see the toilets but I did arrive when it was dark. Lovely wee town for a walk around.

Le lieu indiqué est maintenant interdit pour y passer la nuit, mais possibilité de dormir en dessous de l'Office du tourisme. parking avec toilettes grands et propres ouverts en journée mais, semblerait-il, possibilité de récupérer les clés à l'Office du tourisme pour la nuit. Le wi-fi ne marche vraiment pas bien. lieu parfait pour une étape, mais peut-être bruyant en fonction des autres utilisateurs...
