lovely place on the hills, with nice and clean facilities. online reservation needed. unfortunately we did not receive the booking email so we had to ring to get the assigned spot. the street behind has quite a lot of traffic and with airports nearby the overall experience is not super silent, but the view is nice if the price would be a few quid lower, this would be 5 stars
Wir haben trotz der guten Bewertungen leider keine gute Erfahrung gemacht. Man bekommt nach der Reservierung eine Mail, in der es ausdrücklich heißt, man darf den Pitch nicht frei wählen. Vor Ort war aber keiner anzutreffen und über die Telefonnummer auch nicht erreichbar. Haben 20 min gewartet, angerufen. Sind dann an ein Haus, haben den Besitzer rausgeklingelt... Pitch dann doch frei wählbar...
tolles Gelände, saubere Sanitäreinrichtungen und unkomplizierte Betreiber. Man steht allerdings auf einem Hügel, d.h. es kann sehr windig werden.
Très jolie lieu, le propriétaire est très gentil. L'emplacement est idéal pour visiter le studio Warner Bross Harry Potter et Londre en restant dans la campagne anglaise. Le Studio est à 25mn et pour Londre, laisser sa voiture et prendre le train à Tring et en 45mn vous êtes à Londre.
Wir haben spontan hier 2 Nächte verbracht, sehr netter Besitzer, freie Platzwahl, ältere aber saubere Sanitäranlagen, wir durften sogar unsere Fahrräder einschließen da wir einen Tag zu den Harry Potter Studios gefahren sind, rundum unkompliziert, etwas windig und nicht überall gerade Plätze, es war sehr wenig los und die Straße ist Nachts wenig befahren
Apart from some local campers doing Duke of Edinburgh Award, we were the only occupants. You'd have thought we'd be allocated a pitch closer to the ablutions as a result. Nice, quiet campsite with lovely views. Owner greeted us personally after arrival. Nice place.
Fantastic site, great views and really chilled. Great to have a fire pit and relax. Facilities are very good, although they have no shop, which is not a criticism just bring all your stuff with you. Plenty of walks local and a games room. Will be coming again.
A very family / quiet orientated sited, and working farm. Well maintained and clean toilets and showers, plus a room with washing and drying facilities plus microwaves and fridge/freezers. if you want somewhere with great countryside views, good facilities, and a quiet relaxing stay - this is it. We used it to overnight for Whipsnade zoo, and had a lovelly evening.
Excellent campsite. We stayed for 4 nights. All staff really helpful and prompt with replies to any questions. Really clean showers and washing facilities ??. Ideal base to visit local area or further afield as bus stop is a short walk away. Will definitely recommend and visit again. Thank you for a great stay.
Platz mit schöner Aussicht. Selbst als wir unangemeldet noch nach 20 Uhr ankamen und einen Platz für eine Nacht brauchten, wurden wir freundlich empfangen. Ein wenig preisintensiv schon (44£ für einen Camper Van, 2 Erwachsene, 2 Kinder inklusive Stromanschluss. Aber im Großen und Ganzen empfehlenswert.
Stunning views. Water and EHU. Good for dogs. Wifi would be good as reception isn’t great. Very warm welcome from the owner. Pricey though..£28 for motorhome, 1 person, 1dog and EHU on grass pitch.
We stayed here in July (2020). A laid back but well organised site where some mobile traders call at weekends. Great for Adults and Families.
