What a place! Stayed midweek in a campervan in the carpark. I recommend the Wanlockhead Wrecker if your hungry and 1553 ale. Perfect. Friendly staff and locals, beautiful doggo too. Can see it being very busy during weekends/warmer months.
Cooler schottischer Pub, kostenloser Stellplatz, wir haben dafür im Pub was getrunken. Super nette Besitzer, Sitz- und Socializing-Möglichkeiten draußen. Verträumtes schottisches Örtchen, muss schön zum Wandern sein. 24h Toilette und Waschbecken kostenlos nutzbar. Wie generell Inlands abends an Mücken- bzw. Fliegenschutz denken.

Great place to stop for the night, pretty views and some nice walks nearby. Staff at the pub were friendly and food was good! Toilets are outside and open all night which was fantastic. Felt safe here as a solo female traveler, would definitely recommend - it's worth a detour off the motorway!
stayed last night in a pod and in campervan. Lovely place with lots of scenic walks, enjoyed good meal in pub at reasonable prices, all night toilets a plus. very quiet night.

We found the place outside like a dump. What a shame it could be a little gold mine to go with the lead mine. I did manage to get two grunts out of the landlord when we had a drink in there. We didn’t stay
what a gem of a place! we pulled up early to an empty car park and were guided into a perfect overnight parking spot by the owner. the dog enjoyed walking along well, signed, and informative lead mining trails. they have a simple menu of really nice meals, and we can recommend the haddock in a really light batter . it may not look much on arrival, but that's misleading!!!
Drove in and it looked like a dump so drove away.
Excellent stop over. Stayed last night and had a lovely meal in the bar and several drinks. Really friendly staff and the food was great. Will be back again in 2023.
We’re here now, breaking a journey to the highlands. This place is perfect. Lovely village community, great walks and an awesome pub with super friendly and welcoming staff and locals. We had a good meal at the pub and a few drinks and are now sat in our van, feeling very lucky to have found this spot for the night.
Top Spot. Ein echter Tip. Im Grunde steht man letztendlich auf dem Parkplatz des Pub, aber der Besuch im Pub ist die Reise allemal wert. Die Gegend rundherum ist für ausgiebige Wanderungen bestens geeignet. Und das Essen ist auch nicht übel. WC und Waschbecken sind außerhalb des Pub vorhanden und daher auch nachts zugänglich.
Fantastic park up, food was beautiful, fresh fish delivered an hour ago.Just eat or drink in the Inn and respect their carpark. Dog friendly and great hospitality. Views, history and walks, what more do you need.
Sehr schöne Gegend für kleine Wanderungen. Super süße, gemütliche Pods. Sehr netter Eigentümer, hatten einen lustigen Abend in seinem Pub! Sehr zu empfehlen.

Great stop off, glamping pods and bar, let us park the campervan for the night for free. very friendly and welcoming altho they took the mick out of my other half for having a Guinness n black lol, highly recommended for a stop off on the way to the nc500
