I’m not sure if this was the spot I think it was slightly up the road €4 or €15 to stay overnight ideal for visit to the war memorial
Parking du centre commémoratif d'Oradour. Je suis arrivé à 17h alors qu'il fermait. Nous irons au village commémoratif dès son ouverture demain. Le parking semble gratuit dans la journée aussi. Je me suis garé à 17h et je n'ai eu aucun problème.
Staying in the car park of the Oradour memorial centre. I got here at 5pm as it was closing. Will be going to the memorial village as soon as it opens tomorrow. Parking seems free in the day too. I parked up at 5pm and had no hassle.
Aufenthalt auf dem Parkplatz der Gedenkstätte Oradour. Ich kam um 17 Uhr hier an, als es geschlossen wurde. Werde ins Gedenkdorf gehen, sobald es morgen öffnet. Das Parken scheint auch tagsüber kostenlos zu sein. Ich parkte um 17 Uhr und hatte keine Probleme.
Ruime parkeerplaats van het open lucht monument. Inrij hoogte 2m. Enkele prullenbakken aanwezig. Met een keg sta je recht. Afdoende camera beveiliging. Op loopafstand van een bakker, een bar, een pizzeria en enkele hotels. Ook de bouwstijl van het nieuwe dorp is een bezoek waard.

PK33PROD14/08/2025Salut les nomades ! Je suis venu passer une nuit ici avant d'aller visiter le village martyr d'Oradour. Il y a eu beaucoup de passage sur le parking la nuit où j'ai dormi. Niveau sécurité le parking est protégé par des caméras de surveillance. Cependant les toilettes sont fermées donc non accessibles, aussi par forte chaleur il faut savoir que le goudron retient celle-ci. Have a good trip ;)
SaMie10/08/2025Quiet and calm parking to spend the night before visiting the memorial site. The height restriction is 2m but that wasn't a problem for our sma van.

A beautiful park up surrounded by trees and birds singing. We managed to squeeze under the barrier so it must be 2.10m high. It could have been the most restful place of our whole 5 week trip…if it weren’t for the local dog barking all night…and I mean ALL night till the sun came up! Worst nights sleep I’ve had! NB have the decency to visit the town if you stay…an essential history lesson.
Trottie08/02/2025Prima overnachtingsplek, barrière is actueel 2,10m want onze bus (Randger Fiat Talento-2) van 2,05 ging er moeiteloos onderdoor. Je staat achteraan in de kromming van de bocht recht. Zeer rustig en er hangen overal beveiligingscamera’s. Wij voelden ons veilig.

Motorhome parking just up the street with no height barrier. visited museum in the day no problems.

There are two car parks one has a height barrier the other has no restrictions. (See photo for locations) We parked during the day in the no restrictions car park, nice big flat spaces with some recycling bins. Just a few minutes walk from the Oradour sur Glane Memory Centre and village.

1 nuit passée 1 week-end de juillet. Nous étions 2 vans. Pas de bruit là nuit. Sanitaires ouverts en journée.

Noche tranquila, solo nosotros. Cuidado que hemos visto cámaras en un árbol, nadie nos ha molestado. Sin servicios y sin ruido. Límite de altura a 2m. La villa de los mártires abre todos los días a las 9h y cierra 17h del 1nov-29feb ; A las 18h 1marzo-15 mayo y 16sep-31octubre; 19h 16mayo-16sep.

Nuit au calme, nous étions 2 van . parking très grand avec beaucoup de verdure . Les cloches sonnent mais pas la nuit . Nous conseillons! Dommage que les notes soient plombées par des personnes qui se plaignent de ne pas pouvoir passer sous la barre des 2 mètres

Car park right outside the visitors centre but useless for most as there is a 2M height barrier in place. a very short drive up the road into the centre there is a free to use car park with toilets and water. much better for a motorhome.

En van, grand parking avec des places plates et à l'ombre, certaines en herbes. Les WC à côté sont ouverts de 10h à 18h. Précision utile car j'avais fait demi-tour avant de finalement revenir, la cloche sonne de 8h à 20h30 donc la nuit est tranquille. La circulation sur la route à côté n'est pas importante. Nous avons donc passé une très bonne nuit sur ce parking où nous étions seuls.
