We stopped here to try the famous Trappist beers which were very nice and then stayed the night. We arrived about 4pm on Sunday and the car park was busy but had a few empty spaces. Our 6.3m van was fairly easy to park but anything bigger might struggle during the busier opening hours. By 7pm there were far fewer cars and nobody else stayed overnight. Flat and quiet!
Perfect to stay overnight after a dinner at In De Vrede. The parking lots is not so deep but we manage it anyway (8.00m)
Goede plek. straat lampen erg vel. Op vrijdag is alles dicht, restaurant en Abdij. De grot om de hoek is wel open.
Propere vlakke parking aan de abdij. Heel rustige nacht gehad. De parkeervakken zijn enkel groot genoeg voor auto’s zodat je met een wat grotere camper enkele plaatsen inneemt. Hou hier misschien rekening mee voor als het hier druk is.
Na sluitingstijd van “De Vrede” is het heerlijk rustig op dit parkeerterrein zonder voorzieningen.
Back again for what is IMO the best free stopover within an hours reach of Calais. A flat carpark with use of a restaurant and bar serving excellent food and of course superb beer. Peaceful, free and in reach of Calais, with the added bonus of incredible beer and great food. Whats not to love?
lovely spot at Abbey brewery where they produce excellent (& strong) beer. large car park. peaceful night. restaurant & bar where you can access clean toilets during opening hours. shop with food & beer sales. Rubbish bins.
Grote parking vlakbij de abdij en restaurant. Geen voorzieningen. Onze camper van 5.7m paste perfect in een parkeerplaats.
Quiet night at the end of the car park. It wasn’t that busy. And we enjoyed a nice meal and a beer.

Pour passer une bonne soirée devant une des meilleure bière du monde et dormir tranquillement avec réveil aux chants des oiseaux. Parking plat, plutôt un véhicule discret et pas plus de 6 m. merci à la communauté de nous accueillir gratuitement.
Great place to stay and drink a few Trapist beers. huge car park and quite when all leave around 9pm. Shop opens in the morning 10am

De plaatsen zijn veel te klein voor een camper van 7meter. als de vrede open is is er ook geen plaats en veel te druk.

We had a lovely quiet night here before visiting Poperinge, cars generally left by approx 2100.
Prima voor een nacht, compleet stil. Het café is helaas dicht tot 1-10, maar daardoor wel de ruimte voor onszelf.
Very nice and clean but no facilities and you are in a car park. We stayed two nights so we could do the lovely cycle routes that include the brewery. Note the monastery does seem to open in the afternoon for a few hours of you want to drink there.
Après avoir dégusté à la cafétéria de l'abbaye une excellente bière et en avoir acheté à la boutique, nous avons passé une nuit tranquille au fond du grand parking, il est souhaitable de respecter le sens de stationnement pour ne pas gêner.
It's the parking by Westvletern abbey, brewery and restaurant, a quiet area in the middle of the country side. The parking has small spots and plenty of visitors and were full towards the evening when we were there so don't expect any privacy.
