Great location with the pleasant sounds of the wildlife at dusk . Please be aware of a vile individual, who believes it to be appropriate to bang and even try to open your motor home door to inform/shout, that it’s illegal to park on a public byway. Take no notice, he soon pipes down when he realises that tactics of intimidation and his lack of education about the law didn’t get him far. JogOn

Amazing spot! Lots of space and only us and two other vans, even on a sunny Saturday evening. Don’t be put off by the lanes leading to it. Highly recommended

We've stopped here many times. Beautiful view to wake up to, frogs in the late Summer, Geese and other birds throughout the year. Really beautiful, usually very quiet. Last night around 12.30 was woken by the car beeping, he stopped banged on the side of the van and called us wankers (the irony was not lost on us!) Hopefully just a one off but maybe an angry local, just to be aware.

Stayed 30/12/21. Lovely quiet spot. Nice views and was nice to be able to hear the wildlife at night! A few cars passed through the night and runners and dog walkers in the morning but weren’t an issue. No parking restrictions. No toilets or facilities but a great little spot for one night!

Fantastic little place. Sleep withe the sound of frogs and crickets.

Lovely quiet spot with wide flat verges ideal for a night. Rather open but literally silent after about 21.30. Nice pool over the road and a short walk to Fingringhoe Wick NR

Stunning spot! No passing traffic after 9pm and beautiful views in the morning. The wildlife here was also fabulous! No bother from locals who passed walking their dogs.

Absolutely beautiful location. The local population are very friendly. Would definitely stay again. Please respect the environment and leave the location in good order for everyone to enjoy. Rob0084 is right. Don’t let these ignorant individuals scare you off. If you are parked legally and not causing disturbance to the locals or environment, you have the right to be there. Stand for your freedom.

Nice and quiet with views across the quarries. There is a small area at the end of a hedge about halfway between the bend in the road just to the north of the marked location and the 30mph sign before you enter Fingringhoe. Perfect if you park facing east (UK RHD vehicles)
