Right next to the Harran cultural centre. We parked there for the night and a guide took us around the area to explain the history of the place. Everyone was very friendly and it was a good experience to see village life. The children are very excitable but respectful.

I do not recommend. It was getting dark. The guide caught me at the gate, he did not say that there is an entrance fee. he took me to his place, told me something, made tea and wanted 40 euros! I say no, then 10 EUR, I gave him 200 lira. As I was leaving, the kids were banging on the car and pointing at something. it was very uncomfortable. Don't go there in the evening, be careful.

Valt best mee. Wie in Tunesië of Egypte is geweest weet hoe het is. Ze dringen aan so what?

Avoid! We arrived in the daytime and were harassed by both children (including a group who kicked our dog) and adults, who were either very pushy, or polite but the end goal was the same (money). Beehive houses were interesting but the experience was spoiled, would not recommend. When we got back to our car, the owner of the cultural centre was trying the combination lock on our door to break in!

We arrived at this place at night and we immediatelly felt harassed. Kids jumping in front of the car, we saw a rat runing along a wall and boy kicking a puppy with his foot. The whole place just felt very dirty and unsafe so we went to sleep to the other place on P4N which was better, but not great. I would recommand coming at Harran only during daytime.

Whilst I don’t disagree with anything said above please be aware of the very hard sell and high prices being charged here for food and tour guiding. From the minute we arrived in Harran we were hassled. We were then asked for 600trl for an hour and a half guide round the place which whilst of historical interest has little to see. All the information we were given we’d already found on the internet.
