Saturday night at the car park was lively. Cars drove around and set off fireworks at 10 p.m. Later, a woman screamed into our windows from another vehicle. More cars arrived, aimlessly circling before leaving. After midnight, it was quiet. There’s a drinking water tap at the stairs, and the lowered height restriction made entry easy. The location is ideal—15 minutes to the abbey and castle.
in 20 minutes 4 times a car came through to turn around slowly as 10pm. We think 3 times it was the same car. very open and close to the town. Much better parking down the road, we didn't spend the night hear

Peaceful night in the motorhome. Height barrier on the right side was open. Large parking area. Apart from close to road no issues.

Ce parking gratuit est parfait pour passer une nuit et profiter du lac et du parc magnifique en face, à pied ou en vélo. Il faut visiter les ruines de l'abbaye Muckross (gratuit) , le château, (payant) et aller jusqu'à la cascade de Torc . Pas de barrière en mai. Marie et Phil

Barrière de hauteur à 2m. Ça doit peut être dépendre de la période, mais du moins ce jour là, pas possible de s'y garer. Assez déçu
Facile d’accès sans restriction de hauteur sur une entrée. Calèches et chevaux à proximité jusqu’à 19h. Promenade à proximité. Route un peu bruyante la nuit mais beau paysage : vaches monts daims …
Leider sind beide Einfahrten mit 2m Höhenschranken versehen. Der Platz davor ist nur für Pferdekutschen reserviert.
Arrivés sur ce parking à la nuit tombée nous avons passé la nuit à cet endroit, mais quel dégoût le lendemain quand nous avons vu que quelques kms plus loin le long du lac il y avait d'autres emplacements non répertoriés sur P4N ! Du coup n'hésitez pas à faire quelques kms de plus vous serez pas déçus
Nice spot for ovenight, no facilities. I would suggest arriving late & leaving early from this place, the carriage driving business which operates at front of carpark could be a problem if carpark is full & his customers can not park during the day.
Perfect park up while exploring the busy Killarney National Park. Behind the horse & cart area. Lots of room. Shared with quite a few other vans. Peaceful night. No facilities but good signal.
We parked here for one night before early hike to Torc mountain. Did not get a lot of sleep because some people were drifting or burning tires or drag racing or something in the middle of the night. It was Saturday night after some game in the city. On one side there is a height lock. Next to the parking is a nice park.
